This video is actually super relevant for real estate photographers. Real estate photography is a huge industry and the majority of real estate photographers are taking stills and Video on a daily basis. I was considering purchasing this drone so I can have some more dynamic videos, but because they do not offer raw images, I probably won’t now. So thanks for making the video!
Thanks. Personally I think realtors should stick to selling homes and hiring professionals to do photo and video than do it themselves. They tend to not bother with licensing and think it’s as simple as pressing the shutter button and their image quality is not what it’s supposed to be compared to an actual photographer. Otherwise the photographer would just sell houses and not need a realtor. That’s just my 2 cents.
The Avata 2 is a great explorer in tight spaces. I recently took some pictures closeup from a damaged roof for a friend. Any buildings or structures can be captured for maintenance with it! With a portable little printer in my car this is a great service feature!
@@Dmm1004 Ab-so-lutely! No doubt it's much better for that. But I'm talking from an experienced fpv pilot's point of view. The position holding might be better on the mini 4 pro, not sure about it tbh. The avata2 is much more sturdy, can take sidebumps like nothing with the stable ducts/propguards. And it was made for flying it with the goggles 3, on the mini4 pro it seems more like a "gadget" flying it with the goggles.
This video is especially relevant to me because my Mavic 3 Pro was stolen, and I urgently need a temporary drone to continue taking photos and earning money to eventually replace it.
It took me a while to buy DJI products due to the hate in the FPV freestyle, Racing community, Etc. But when I decided to turn Drones into a business DJI made since. The Avata 2 scares me when I try to freestyle it like my Crux35 3.5 inch. During hard turns with alot of yaw the drone snaps down vertical and almost losses control. I keep hearing everyone saying it can freestyle but It cant do anything aggressive which is Freestyle IMO(Just baby freestyle). With that said the Avata 2 is amazing for cinematic flying (without sharp turns) It is my favorite drone for indoor drone tours now. It holds altitude better than any of my other cinewhoops in Angle mode(I dont like angle mode but it delivers a better product for drone tours IMO). The other area the Avata 2 shines is close proximity flying through trees etc. Plus the camera is so good no need for added action camera weight. I also own the Air 3 and I love it. The DJI drones I have used are amazing when they are used as they are intended to be used. Does anybody else change the controller spring when going from Normal mode and Manuel mode?
@@DimmyV I agree i cant fly with the spring tight in Acro. But when I plan on doing alot of Normal mode I tightin the spring bevause I thing it allows for easier alt controll for nice indoor footage.
Been wanting Avata 2 for a bit now, cause I don't use my non-FPV drone that much. It's no fun. But the lackluster photo abilities turned me off as I am making a partial living from photography. So, your mention of the Air 3, made me look a little into things and settled for a Mini 4 Pro as it's much more capable in the photo department, and it can use Goggles 3 and RC 3 for some immersive flying too. Then I'll get what I want for both professional and leisure usage. Thanks. :)
Useful video. I was looking for a drone for two things - flying with googles and photography. Photography is a bigger priority, so probably gonna go with Air3. Avata2 looking cool tho, and a lovely size
Photo mode still matters a lot because if you are taking a drone on vacation something like an avata is great but wouldn't make sense if you couldn't even take a decent picture
For commercial work, it's nice to have photos and video in the same drone. But they should have made it RAW. One day I hope the sensors will be round to match the lens on all drones and the cropping can be done in post.
@@DimmyV I don’t see much wrong with it. It’s does well in low light conditions and it is pretty stable. It’s not the best pick for a photography drone but it still can take great pictures
I think Avata2 has Horizon Steady and wonder if using this mode will eliminate some of the disadvantages mentioned. Just wondering..low time avata2 pilot 😲
Interesting they could have just use horizon steady for photo mode. Could also just straighten in Lightroom or smartphone but will lose some pixels in the crop
Enjoying your videos. Only found them today. I have the mavic 2 zoom and recently purchased the avata 2. Have you notice if you have crashed whether the recording stops or not?
Appreciate it 🍻 by default the recording stops when you crash. It should stay connected if not that bad of a crash and whether you have a twig stuck in the props may prevent you from taking off again.
That's good to hear. Feel free to check out my first few videos from my Avata 2 journey. Just waiting for the controller 3 to come back into stock before going full manual mode.
Which thumbnail brought you to this video?

Ooooo great idea. Yes this is a good explorer and JPEGS would be sufficient for this too.
Is that avata 2 better than the mini 4 pro for exploring or tight spaces though?

Sorry to hear your drone was stolen. Look into the Air 3S as a replacement. Made some videos on it and more to come.

I was changing it Buh I ended up just learning how to fly manual with thumbs stick tight
Appreciate the comment. I changed my stick for this video but when I switched to manual it was awkward with the spring.

@@SteffyWithADollarSign Is it pretty wierd that way?
How about avata 2 vs mini 4 pro
I want to do indoor video with wide angle shot. But also i want a good photohtaphy and cinematic like show movement.

I wish DJI give us option to shoot RAW even i didnt shott photo with FPV.
think they can add the stabilization from the Neo, it could be used... i know u keep asking why? but i ask why not?
There were two choices on EIS. Rock Steady and Horizon Steady. Choose wisely.. 😉
Useful video. I was looking for a drone for two things - flying with googles and photography. Photography is a bigger priority, so probably gonna go with Air3. Avata2 looking cool tho, and a lovely size
Thanks. The Air 3 definitely the way to go form photography and more versatile as a drone.

Yes very true, JPEGs would be fine in this instance, I've tried shooting JPEGs using creative styles on my camera rather than always editing

It’s the same sensor as the Air 3. I mean a. firmware update can make it possible but DJI want to keep its Mavic drones separate.
I know right?!?! 😞
I thought the avata 2 did a pretty decent job with the photos. It’s not bad at taking photos.
During the day is fine. If you’re in a pinch
@@DimmyV I don’t see much wrong with it. It’s does well in low light conditions and it is pretty stable. It’s not the best pick for a photography drone but it still can take great pictures
I think they gave it a photo mode just to make the drone even more versatile.

Is it possible to hang an action camera or a 360 camera on it ?
People have added an action camera but it ruins the flight characteristics. Fly sluggish. Might as well get a bigger drone if you want to do that imo.
Do the JPEGs have lat/lon in their EXIF ?
I need to check this when I have access to my NAS again to check the photos I have taken.
The instruction manual does not talk about this.
There wasn’t much tilt with the avata
What do we think so far? Have you used photo mode or will you try it?
