CPM S60V is a relatively old super steel that was developed in the early 1970s. The old name is CPM 440V, the alloy was later slightly changed and the steel was given the name CPM S60V. The steel was then more or less forgotten, although S60V has a higher wear resistance and toughness than M390/20CV/204P, the toughness is in the range of Elmax. So all in all a really good steel.
I think that was partially me to blame as well. I filmed this really late at night at work after an 8 hour shift and running around for 8 hours before that🤣🤣🤣 TIRED!😂

440v is a great knife steel as long as it's heat treated properly.
This isn’t 440C. S60V “was” CPM440V

Cpm -440V is not 440HC/440C SS . Which is what a few people were confused over.
