Love your videos and your hair & make-up advice...also your advice on colors that work for silver hair. I grew mine out at age 47 and am now 63. My hair is much whiter now and I'd never go back to dyeing EVER. You and I have the same coloring; skin and hair, but my hair isn't nearly as thick as yours. When my hair was dark, nobody ever commented on it but since I went grey, not a day goes by that someone doesn't comment on it positively. As for those who were so critical to you, just disregard. You are doing a great service to women who want to look beautiful and embrace the silver. Keep up your good work!

I love your hair, it's so beautiful! Thank you for the tips I struggle with the sames things. My hair is thick like yours and is growing also salt n' pepper! Can't wait!!!! I adopted you as my mentor since the first video I saw like two years ago. I finally had the courage to go gray on January when I saw that video again and I feel so free!! Thank you Nikol.

Nikol you are the reason I stopped coloring my hair about 2-3 months ago. I hated coloring it every 2-4 weeks. People have been so positive when they ask me about it. I also deal with frizz due to humidity and I've been using a Keratin shampoo and conditioner that works really well. You and your hair are beautiful and thank you for giving me the courage to "just say no"...😉

I grew my gray hair out 8 years ago. I wear my hair long and get a keratin treatment every 4 months to help with manageability. I live in Central Florida and struggle with the humidity. I use soy renewal oil as a finishing touch. It helps tame flyaways and adds a little shine.

Nikol, have you tried using the hot tools black charcoal dryer brush? OMG it's a game changer for grey hair & leaves your hair feeling like you've gone to the salon for a blowout & lasts until your next wash. Since discovering this, there's no need for any flat ironing those tiny hairs & NO burnt smell. I have thick hair like yours & this tool is simply phenomenal. 💙👩‍🦳

Hi - I’m having the same issues within my brown grey hair. It’s very thick and heavy but will frizz in humid weather. 2 products I’ve tried and liked are LOréal Hair Expertise EverPure 6-in-1 Cleansing Balm and bumble and bumble Bb.Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer. They’re not grey hair products but work well for me to keep hair soft, shiny, smooth and not weighed down. The BB product is a spray oil that has a nice scent and you can spray it on damp hair before styling. Thanks for making your videos.

I have my silver sparkle going on almost 2 years now. I have found that I must stay away from parabens, silicone etc. They were turning my hair yellow at the ends. I have found 100% Pure Moisture Drench Shampoo and conditioner works great on my thick, wavy sometimes unruly hair. I am looking for a great heat protection cream or oil for my ends. Might give your oil spray a try but will need to check out the ingredients list.

Ugh...so glad to hear you talk about the baby hair on the sides, mine look like they belong on someone else’s hair. I have very straight hair, and usually never use a straightener but now that I am transitioning with my grey my sides by my ear especially on one side is crazy curly! What is with that? I need to get one of those mini straightens because a regular one is too large to get right in there.

I live in Kentucky, humidity here is way less than in Florida but I still use an anti frizz. I use the Living Proof Humidity Shield spray. During winter I use it when it rains and the rest of the year I use it after I blow dry. It seems to help. It's not an hydrating product is just a spray.

I love the color of your hair. When I attempted to go gray it just wasn't very pretty, kind of a dull white. I might try again and have them put some white highlights so it will look better, that way I'm not dyeing all my hair any more just making it look better as a natural gray. Still better than dyeing all my hair brunette every 8 weeks at salon.

Hi Nikol, I've just come across you Utube channel, I've subscribed now too. I'm 59 this November and at the beginning of the year I decided to not colour my hair anymore, even though I only had foils. I found a lady name Beth Djalali, her blog is called " Style at a certain age " who enspired me to do it, I'm so glad I have. I'm 85% silver grey now, mind you my hair is short, but this last bit is so frustrating because as you said in your other video, you just want it done. After listening to you I'm grown more patient so thank you for that. Yourself and Beth are the only two channels I follow. I think you are a lovely lady and it's nice to see someone else with class. Regards Julie from England :) x

I lived in FL until I was 38. The products I used there don't work the same in CA. All my old products were to assist my natural curls and work with the humidity. Here in CA, my natural curls are just waves, so I struggled to find products I love. Point is, be patient while trying to find new products. We may all have silver hair but it's not all the same AND Humidity does play a big part in how your hair reacts to products! Now....to locate this purple shampoo!

Nikol...I'm not sure why everyone makes such a big deal out of hair showing frizz..Call me crazy but I think some curl or wave with a bit of frizz is kind of cute, not at all ugly. To me this pin straight ideal is a trend and not a mark of beauty. Frizz in humid weather is NATURAL. It also marks one has being unique and not looking severe like everyone else. Just my opinion.

Hello!! I am so glad that I just watched some of your videos, and I want to thank you for your advices. A few years ago my gray started towards the front in which it wasn’t noticeable, but now is just all over!!! My hair is long, and I have highlights but now i have to do my roots every 2 to 3 weeks and I am getting tired of keep doing it . I had thought a few months to just let my gray grow and go to my stylist and to mixed my gray with black. I just didn’t have the courage to go threw it, but watching one of your videos it help me out a lot so next month I am going to do it. You mention about that you cut your hair short, my hair is long but the problem is that my hair is curly, actually in between curly and wavy. What would you recommend how to cut it? I don’t blow dry my hair at all!! I just let it dry by itself.
I am so glad that I was going threw my you tube and I found you!!!
Don’t worry about the negative comments from people!!! I don’t understand why they like to judge others. I believe b4 a person judges someone, they should look at themselves first!! I love your hair, trust me I understand about the humidity in Florida, I live in Louisiana and the humidity is horrible here, so I know about a bad day frizzy hair Lol.
    God Bless
    Thank you
    Chau

I could not find the product that you said smelled so delicious. I too want to use it everyday I only saw an oil. Please let us know what that lovely golden spray was once again. Thank you. I believe you said the stylist was using on the client next to you. 👍

I think that's why so many women wear ponytails and buns in SFL. I live in FL and my hair has always been a challenge.

I have oily hair but it’s going more normal the more gray I get. Right now my hair looks so dull to me.

Hi Nikol, I’m 50% grey and thin hair with black hair. My roots are white not silver as yours. White as snow and I don’t like it at all. I think it makes me look older. I have curly hair as well not just a wave. On top of that lots of hair comes out when I colour it and use professional hair products. I’m so tired of colouring and my white hair is not beautiful as yours. I will go bald the rate I’m losing hair. Don’t know what to do or use. My hair is a long bob or sits on my shoulder, with side swept bangs with lots of curls. Thanks 🙏🏻

love the natural way you look w/your gray - all black wasn't as pretty i swear! I'm tired of dying my hair as well and considering embracing the gray!

I would not mind the frizz if I had the humidity. I love tropical weather

I live in Fort Lauderdale (by Aventura). Can you recommend a silver-gray friendly stylist, please, please, please? By that, I mean, someone who will help with your gray transition, as opposed to talking you out of going gray? Thank you.
