I also got me and AKX recently, its just a little bit mor fun than the MWS. Its loud, its mean and it kicks. But the MWS is just a little bit more accurate in distance for me
Love the AKX, the only thing that lets it down in my opinion is the stock. I replaced mine with a Midwest Industries Alpha Series folding stock and also added some Fab Defense grips.
James - I have the exact same Aaron Smith 2.1 AKM kit on mine. If you buy the Bavtac Saiga 12 upgrade piston (which fits the AKM but is shorter) the problem of having to remove the front end to get the piston out goes away
A while back I was ready to jump on getting an akm but wasn't looking forward to getting the parts I wanted. That all changed when the AKX popped up on my feed. I really like modernized aks. Still plan to change out a few things though like the pistol grip and get a magpul zhukov stock installed
Been keeping my eye open for one but they are as rare as rocking horse shite. My concern was mag storage during use as no issues with mws but not sure with ak mags
Will the Arron smith rail kit be cross compatible with the akx?? I want the akx but I already own the Arron smith rail but I don’t know if it’ll fit considering it has a rail on the cover also has all the furnisher I’d want on my ak
You will need a regular/AKM dust cover. It won't work with the AKX dust cover due to the way it fits on + probably a new rear trunnion. If u want to use the SAG kit, get the AKM.

Love my AKX, your AK hop arm works great with Flamingo bucking, it won't lift over 0.28 stock.
My AKX is my favorite gbbr Ive had I just replaced the bucking with a modify 55 degree and it shoots lasers

Also got an AKX mines got a Magpul hand stop, and Bavtac 115% recoil spring, looking forward to seeing what you do with the hop unit
