I wanted to thank you for all your tips using pins to help match up seams perfectly at punctures. It has increased my skills a lot! I like these ruler stands. I may look at these for my quilting rulers. I currently use a letter holder to hold measuring and specialty rulers. I can store directions with them. I saw where one quilter puts specialty rulers in page protectors and then puts them in a notebook. I am afraid I would forget I had them if I did that!

I agree - if they stored away (drawer, cabinet, notebook) I would forget I had them.
I need them easily accessible. Thanks so much for watching!

I wish I had the surface space for the holders.

They really don't take a lot of space - of course, it's the rulers that extend beyond the racks - and they really do need room in order to be displayed. Thanks for watching!

Interesting infomercial. I hang my rulers on the wall, but I don't have so many rulers as Mary does.

I also hang my rulers on the wall...anywhere there's an available spot, that's where they are, as yes, I do have a lot. This video wasn't meant to be an "infomercial" - just a great way to display rulers I wanted to share. Thanks for watching.

I had the same problems others have mentioned, no surface space. What I did was mount a pot lid holder to the wall and put the rulers in it. Not separated as neatly as these holders but still fairly easy to find what you need. The smallest rulers I put into a folder which also goes into the lid rack.

I do not have space to have rulers on table tops, that's where fabric bundles go.
I do have a Dream Box that houses my sewing machine and pressing station. So I take Command Hooks to hang my rulers on the side of my cabinet.

While the ruler stands are nice, with over 100 rulers and templates, the stands would take up way too much space. Years ago when I moved to my quilting studio, I installed pegboard and pegs on the wall behind my cutting surface. This way I can hang lots of rulers in a smaller space that doesn't take space from my cutting area. I have them organized by size and shape. For example, all my square rulers from 15" x 15" down are hung on one peg. Rectangular rulers such as 8 1/2" x 12", 3 1/2" x 12 1/2", etc. are on another peg. Triangular rulers have another peg. Then I use some of my Longaberger baskets to hold specialty rulers, such as log cabin, pineapple, etc. This method helps me more quickly find the shape and size I need. I also place all of my specialty ruler instructions into page protectors and keep them in a binder. That way I always know where they are and they are protected from damage.

Thanks for the input Kim. Sounds like you have a great system for your sewing area. I don’t have the wall space as you do, so this method works better for me.

Somewhat hard to see the produce, especially the small ones, because the text is right on top of them.
