Idk how for me either, and immediately thought wtf is chicken floss?! Whatever it may be chicken and cake do not belong. 😶 It may not even actually be chicken who TF knows.
I Googled it and came back with "meat pine made from chicken" and I dont know about you, but it raised more questions than it answered for me
Normally, pork floss or chicken floss (I think I also saw the name “meat shreds” somewhere, but I might me wrong) is eaten with rice and soup, but some Asian-style bakeries put on bread or cake, to counterbalance the sweet with something a little bit salty. It’s not that salty, though, and the meat flavor is not that strong either. I prefer it with rice and soup, but on cake tastes good also.
Cotton candy is called fairy floss in Australia (and maybe other places?) and I think this is where it came from. It’s meat (in this case, chicken) with the texture of cotton candy. It’s sweet and salty- I’ve seen it used in some sweet buns and in rice dishes.
I’ve never even heard of a jiggly cake until now. Looks good.
