I love Martinsville. It's NASCAR's equivalent to touring car racing where to pass you give the car ahead a bump on the rear to let them know you're there then just push them to the side and drive away into the distance. It's brilliant
Series you can watch legally on RUclips #WhoNeedsATV · NASCAR · DTM · IMSA United sports car championship · IMSA Continental sports car challenge · IMSA Porsche GT3 Challenge USA · AMA Flat track · GNCC Pro racing (bikes and quads) · AMA ATV motocross · Motovelocidade GP (some Brazilian motorbike racing championship) And illegally? · FIA WTCC (touring car) · FIA WEC (endurance) · Blancpain GT series · Indycar (also Indy lights) · AMA Supercross · AMA Arenacross · Global rallycross · Pirelli's World challenge (SCCA, you know) · BTCC · Super GT · V8 Supercars · Stockcar Brazil · Formula truck (Brazilian big truck series) · and so much more... I know at least one series that can't be watched on RUclips but can be watched online legally: AMA Motocross is shown on their own site but not on RUclips for some reason
***** Actually, BTCC is not put up here on youtube legally. You can catch the races here for a few days, but iTV (the UK channel that owns airing rights) will catch up with them and have them taken down. Hats off to the guys that keep putting them up anyway, it's one of the best series out there, and certainly the best of the touring car races.
JohnAllanification It is just some lame calculation I did, possibly close to the right number, though 73 races x 3h = 220h. Add the different longer races and you might get to 250 hours in total Also, 73 races because 36 cup+35 national+Sprint Unlimited+All-star
when did they change martinsville's pit to wrap around? and why is the backstretch all big advertisements instead of grandstands? popularity of this sport must have really faded in the last 15 years...
greendayray I think they changed pit road 8 years ago, maybe 10 years ago. I'm not sure but I know it has been quite awhile ago. Same goes for the backstretch grand stands. 6 or 7 years ago. I don't think the popularity has really gone down but more that people can not afford to go to the races. Just for the fun of it, pick a track and go check the room prices for a hotel with in 25 miles of the track. The cost will astound you.
bigdave46148 yea i'd assume hotel and motel prices in the area would be high. i was lucky when i went to darlington in 1997 we stayed with my mothers aunt who lived an hour away from the track.
greendayray When I started going to Darlington, we would stay in Columbia. The last few times I went, we either used a class c RV or a pop up camper and camped at the track. I did that checking the price of hotels one time for a race at Bristol. 25-50 miles of the track, rooms run around $300 a night.
taufiqutomo Oval tracks tend to serve much more competition and excitement. If you notice in this race, there are lots of battles for position, lots of lead changes, lots of high tempers. Whereas in a series such as F1, the pole winner usually wins the race, the field gets very spread out after one lap, and battles for position are rare.
taufiqutomo RUclips and TV does not do this type of racing justice. The engine's acoustic magnitude, crashes, man vs man competition and party atmosphere of NASCAR races is what makes them fun.
You know, that's really a heartbreaker for Jeff to lose the race on a pit road speeding penalty, and it wasn't even near the entrance. I wouldn't object to putting pit road speed limiters on the cars, seems like every other racing series has 'em.
This was Chase Elliot's first cup race. I was there and proud to say it.
Thank you NASCAR for uploading these full races.
NWO wolfpackJay says the NWO fan LMFAOOOOO

Jeff had the best car here again. I think he's just the best driver.

First Cup start for 19-year-old Chase Elliott.... #TwoFive.... Richmond's Next!!
This was the last Martinsville race on a original network. now they are all on sport networks
Whenever FOX goes to commercial break, why does NASCAR always show Harvick's on-board?
thats one of the best celebrations i've seen.
Fast cars, hot track!
Thanks heaps for the coverage

What a burn out by Hamlin. Lost a tire & overheated the engine
Only Derby !
Yeah
SPRINT 2015 IS GOOD
Guess they are not going to upload truck races.
Nope, only 1st and 2nd divisions. Also, I think it is way more than enough. It is 73 races, possibly over 250h of racing
Go to a channel called Full Nascar Races they have truck nationwide and cup
***** it has kind of a nice ring to it 250h of racing
JohnAllanification It is just some lame calculation I did, possibly close to the right number, though

What's up. What A Great Idea. cooperative mess up What's your opinion about it
C'mon. Good Try. husky wide !
What makes oval track racing so popular in the USA, I wonder?
taufiqutomo It's simple, yet exciting where as actual race tracks can be very boring
it's driver vs driver more than it's driver vs track
taufiqutomo Oval tracks tend to serve much more competition and excitement. If you notice in this race, there are lots of battles for position, lots of lead changes, lots of high tempers. taufiqutomo it's so the dentist has a more direct way of getting to all those missing teeth
Um

+Peter Parker I don't like them either. Well I do like them, if they are drivers I don't like. Harvick, Keselowski, Johnson, The Dillons, Logano, etc.
True. Do you think that most of this years races were boring??
I just don't get why he was penalized. He lost 2 spots getting out! If he gained spots i would understand
Yep. This season has either been no luck, or no speed:(
Hamlins last martinsville win….
Wreckhouse needs to leave nascar , he’s either the caution or he’s causing a caution at every race track !!
🤓
How can you run more laps than the race distance? Nascar is dirty
nascars is not Piloting pfff
I like how the spring Martinsville race was ☀ cause it was on FOX and the fall race was ☁ and damp cause it was on NBC. NBC SUCKS FOX RULES.
