Just wanted to once again thank NASCAR. There are not many organizations that will willingly post their previous events completely on RUclips or any other video website for their fans to see. I don't think very many people appreciate what you do to be able to do this and so I'd just like to extend my thanks. NASCAR is the best.

***** There both good in their own ways. NBC's commentator's have the technical side of things down and they answer a lot of questions that many newer fans or people not in the know about these cars, things they want to know about. Fox on the other hand has the charisma that many people enjoy. Completely different sides of the coin, but both good in their own respects. Believe me, as much as DW and those guys love commentating races, I'm sure when summer rolls around, they love the time they get to stay in one spot with their families, instead of being in a different state week to week to week.

Thank you nascar. Been wanting to see the full race. Can't think of many other sports organizations that are willing to air their previous events for free basically, by posting to sites such as youtube. Ncaa, nfl, mlb, pga, mls, nhl, I can't recall them doing it.
Some people do post events on their own, but they get deleted due to copyright issues. At least by doing this, those of us who didn't get to see the race can watch it. And we can watch it again and again. This was an exciting rsce, and well worth the delay to get it in. So glad Austin Dillon came out ok, and no fans suffered serious injuries. It is clear nascar really does care about their fans, both safety wise and trying to provide the best bang for the buck. Good job nascar.

F this shit back down to the ground ! all and when we were up there a man came from behind to pat my back and say love the shirt ( confederate flag) like gave me a heart attack . we watched fans leave thinking they would call the race so our seats got better and lower every hour . we stuck it out and heard the track dryers around 11pm got seats on the first deck for the 11:56 pm start of the race and after all the crap we went through my wife loved it ! and all during the wait it must have been close to a hundred fans black, white, hispanic even track workers shook my hand and said bill france is a sheep and they were proud of me for supporting the southern heritage flag on my shirt . my hand was tired but the respect from the northern and southern fans was well worth it . and the race kicked ass and made our stay in Daytona perfect !

It's strange how people see what they want to see. Junior "allowed" his team-mate Jimmy Johnson, to take the lead at the 42.50 point. Just observe how Junior never made any effort at all to delay or interfere with JJ's move up to the front when he very well and easily could have. They both already knew who had the fastest car. Junior was just being a team-player by sharing lap points. :-)

Something seriously needs to be done about that tri oval. That's the second time in 2 years that fans have been injured. The fact that even with the restricter plates they're going over 200MPH is worrying. How the hell Austin survived, let alone walked away unscathed is nothing short of a miracle. The humanity in the 88 teams reaction though should be praised

    • @RussellAutosport

NASCAR can make the speeds whatever they want. The restrictor plates can be any size they wish them to be. They simply choose to have the cars above 200 MPH.

Josh Robbins No one was injured in Dillion's crash, and Dillion survived because of the seat belts and head and neck restraints (aka the HANS device) so he wouldn't go flying in his car like in crashes from the 80s and 90s, when you run a race at any restrictor plate track, the cars are going to be running in close packs, so even if Daytona didn't have the trioval and was just a normal oval, these kinds of wrecks will still occur

Jr. never won a championship... But I do think two tracks he was just as good at if not better than his dad at was Talladega & Daytona... Jr. won the opening Daytona 500 twice & won the 2nd running of it twice... So 6 Dega wins & 4 total Daytona wins

3:15:26-3:15-32 No, Jimmie Johnson finished 2nd and Denny Hamlin finished 3rd. So that was a little error on the finishing results.
