I was terminated from my tenured Social Studies teaching position in Maryland due to my alleged bias towards Asians over a lesson about my 10th grade American Government students creating a drivers license law, as I mentioned different stereotypes against various drivers during a class discussion (elderly, foreigners, teens, Asian women, etc). All they heard was Asian Women and it was based off student hearsay. 3 of the members on the Board of Education that voted against me without a hearing were Chinese American. I have been going through the appeal process for 3 1/2 years. I was the only African-American male teacher at that high school and there hasn’t been one since. This is Howard County MD, the 15th most affluent community in the nation, with 50% whites, 19% blacks, and 18% Asians, 10% Latino, 3% other.
As a retired certified black man Teacher of 24 years, I advise you to continue to FIGHT!!! Even if you have to go all the way to the Supreme Court. You are a TENURED TEACHER and had to go through strenuous process to obtain your tenure. Don't let those Chinese Mutts Probably with immigrant backgrounds) get away with it!!!

I worked on several reservations in the Dakotas ( one very near to Pine Ridge)and the part black natives were very marginalized. Even black medical providers were severely treated very disparately from their white counterparts.
