When a ride stops it's not a malfunction, it's actually functioning as it should and stopped itself for safety reasons. The sensors sensed something and stopped the ride. That said, the other examples are absolutely terrible.
Fines are for the poor. It does absolutely nothing to a corporation and is just a part of business. How about actual punishments for these upper class criminals who kill with their apathy.
A lot of these examples aren’t malfunctions it’s the computer detecting something that can put riders at risk and it will stop the ride to prevent injury
@@MrJoker- bruh most are running perfectly, including carowinds. All of these ride "accidents" (except the latest fury 325 one and the windseeker) are just computers stopping the ride, to keep riders safe. The copperhead strike "seat malfunction" was because some guest hit their finger on the seat on the launch.
Yeah, guy above is correct this just would not happen, the last time a roller coaster has derailed was in like 1930, and with today's safety this would just never happen. Especially with all the test runs they do before park opening.
I had businesses in this park back in the 90s…..it was a great place to be……it’s a shame the maintenance department is missing some of these problems…..
I get the need for clicks after the viral Fury issue which the park deserves bad press for. But half of these incidents are rides simply getting stuck and eventually evacuated. Sucks when it happens but that’s industry wide and not a unique Carowinds problem. Obviously the Windseeker incident leading to the OSHA fine is newsworthy. But at least half of this report is exaggerated sensationalism, similar to the majority of everything else the mainstream media reports on.
You are a special kind of dumb. Disney has 60 back up generators for black outs. Six flags has them too. Even carnivals and county fairs use generators. But carowinds can't be bothered even after many blackouts. Media is bad nonsense has to stop. People need to know this stuff
The money Carelesswinds spent on building and operating Crapperhead Strike (which doesn't allow guests to bring backpacks in line) could have been used for better maintenance and upkeep.
Rides get stuck all the time first of all u can’t control a power outage secondly yes injuries are bound to happen when riding these rides ur basically risking your own life riding them cause anything can happen at any given time third of all at least that guy who filmed the crack in fury decided to show park management and let them know before something worse happened heck he could have just went about his day and ignored it but he didn’t and that’s all that matters they got to it in time they fixed it I think now they’re testing it again so they can reopen it ❤anything can happen at an amusement park u just gotta have faith that nothing bad will happen i still love my coasters ❤
This is generally the case for all of the coasters in this chain. Poor maintenance led to incidents on other coasters like Top Thrill Dragster, Twisted Timbers, etc. and the chain always blames the coaster’s manufacturer. Seeing how this crack happened on a coaster built by a reliable manufacturer, this shows that all rides need some maintenance, no matter who built them. Almost this exact issue happened on a coaster built by the same company at Six Flags Magic Mountain, but because they noticed it quickly, they were able to reopen the ride a few days later, whereas this will likely take months. This has led to the chain installing coasters from companies who usually don’t build as thrilling rides, as well as multiple incidents like this. Quite a sad state that the chain is in
but you will let your kids ride in a car. on average, 4 people die in roller coaster accidents in the WORLD, and most of those are in china lol. there are around 46,000 deaths from car accidents in the U.S. per year. you are more likely to be killed where you are sitting right now then being killed on a roller coaster. stop being ignorant all it takes is a simple google search and to watch credible videos. (this is not one of them, these people are all idiots)
carowinds has a perfect track record, no one has ever died on a ride or even came close to dying on a ride at that park. with your logic cars should be eradicated because of how many accidents there are, and carowinds is way safer then every car. you've probably never even been to carowinds before. do your research before commenting something like that

Thank God someone noticed that crack!

The rides have been stuck plenty of times, but the reporter noted the times where there was an actual malfunction that led to the ride being halted.
These are NOT inspected everyday. There is NO WAY a SEPARATION that BIG could have been missed with DAILY inspections
There's another photo from 10 days before. It shows a much smaller crack, still clearly visible
Allegedly they really do. My guess is the inspections are just not thorough enough.
the picture at 1:03 for Flying Cobra is NOT Flying Cobra lmao 🤣

If theme parks are in such disrepair, think about the infastructures of our country. Just a thought.
you do know the federal governemt doesnt upkeep theme parks, right? This counrty is full of idiots.

To be flung off the Fury would be pretty scary.
