Following another video of Sophie's videos, I started using small claw clips (about 1") in dark brown to match my hair and it works amazingly well! I use them almost the same way you would with bobby pins.

You can see it when it’s wet without the heat damage 😅✨ I might straighten is soon though for a lil change
