I fell in love with a woman about thirty years ago and although there were multiple barriers to pursuing our relationship I wrote down the lyrics of this song and sent it to her. Almost two years passed before we were able to finally get together. We've been together since then have two children and very much in love. I attribute our success to my overwhelming belief that she would, someday accompany me. But believe me a woman will only accompany you if she wants to.
Notice how they all sound exactly like the record. Bob seger was worth every penny you spent on admission. Real music with real musicians are long gone.
No. Real musicians are still with us. I'm old enough to have witnessed rock 'n' roll's Big Bang, which was 1955, the year of Chuck, Bo, Little Richard, and Fats. We've always had to endure miles and miles of metaphorical desert in order to find the occasional oasis. Bad music has always dogged the music lover. I personally would condemn autotune and computer generated music to a musical hell, if only I could. They have done their best to dehumanize music. But when I and my bandmates plug in and tune up every Tuesday night, we still play the real deal, as do many others every day. I do take your point, though, David. I just think you overstate it. Maybe you were having a bad day. Or maybe I just can't accept that we've sunk so low.
When I was 15 years old my older sister took me to my first concert.. it was the against the wind tour Bob Seger I saw him at the largo Maryland Capitol center and two of the tracks on the album nine tonight we recorded at the show I was at.. so basically I'm on that album LOL.. my sister gave me a really cool 15th birthday present . We had floor seats 15 rows back from center stage .. my first reaction seeing him was that he and I were the same size .. about five-foot-eight .. amazed at how such loud sounds could come from such a smaller dude .. .. then again I was just 15. Was definitely one of the best times of my life . I'm 58 years old now .. and I can still see Bob's long hair and shiny black shirt running across the stage. ... I also remember watching him receive the Grammy for album of the year and best live performer awards a few months later. For against the wind . Album
Linda. I respectfully disagree. There is still good music being written and played. I'm cocky enough to think that even my own singer-songwriter stuff here on RUclips qualifies as such. Millions of us write and play for the love of music. As ever, some of it's quite good, some not so good. It's just that the music industry, which has always been a mixed blessing, has sunk to what might be a new low as we struggle in the age of computer generated music and autotune. But, dig a little deeper, Linda. It's there.
Just my opinion, he's one of the most perfect men in entertainment,so masculine and writes beautiful ,romantic lyrics, put that with his voice & looks and he's got the whole package! Roll me away Bob!.........................♥
grew up in the 70s bob segar was a huge part of that. Now in 2019 he still remains as the teller of life . When I'm reminiscing of those days I tip my hat off to you MR Segar
Bob Seger is a living legend for sure! This particular song has always gotten my vote for best backing vocals. So glad to finally get to see the real gals doing it live!
Bob Seger a legend ..a blessing to have this music while in my younger years...and be able to enjoy sensational music and songs from the greatest talent that are on this God given earth..thank you
Bob Seger is the best singer I have ever heard in my whole entire life. I am 68 years old and I have listened to Bob almost my whole entire life. I like the song Night Moves, Roll Me Away, and I especially love Someday Lady You'll Accomp'ny Me. I only wish I could have seen Bob Seger in concert. We love you Mr. Seger
Actually there's resurgence in the older style music. Take Folk Music for instance. There's a whole new breed of young, excellent Folk singers. But I certainly get your point on the timelessness of this great music.
Bob Seger is one of the greatest songwriters in music without a doubt he's written more then his share of great hits & his Silver Bullet Band were just absolutely fantastic... This is just one of many awesome songs he's written over the years... I can never get tired of listening to his great songs.... Bob Seger ROCK ON my man!
This is such a pleasant surprise, I love this video. No one beats Bob in my opinion for tugging at the heartstrings. What a wonderful feeling having his songs in my life! ♥
Caption Bob is one of the greatest rock n roll singers of all time him and Elvis Presley are the greatest of all time they will never be anyone else in the world greater than them ever .

Love this song! Love this video! Love Bob Seger! One of the greatest songwriters of our generation. The tambourine girl looks like she's wearing a body stocking. The cowbell girl might have short shorts on. I saw the 78 and 80 tour. This one was the all around best. High energy!
I was Blessed to have seen this beautiful incredible talented man in Nashville in 1983-1986 both concerts sold out in minutes. Got 4 th row seats in 1986 . Still got from my tee shirt from Against The Wind 💨 in 1986 thank you Bob for all the beautiful memories I’ll always will have🖤🎶🎼🎵✨✨
I felt so complete the first time i heard this song, it was like, completely soul healing. So sad i'm really far away from seeing this guy live (Argentinian guy). Long live B.S! Long live to RnR!
so happy I made to several of Bob's concerts in the 70's 80's just found out that Alto Reed passed away end of 2020 Bob and the Silver Bullet Band were always amazing live Alto and his mirrored sunglasses RIP Alto
He headlined the World Series of Rock at Cleveland the Municipal Stadium July 1980 and I'll never forget it! Great Time to be 18 years old just graduated HS.. The good old days when I wasn't good and I wasn't old🤣
@Bob Seger You had me, from the beginning…and the more you pull away, the tighter I hold onto you…I have not let you go, nor do I plan to. And you and I talk almost 24/7.

@bebarchick1 My cross to bear is women find my personality attractive, but that doesn't mean they find me attractive.
Seen him 5 times in one week.
So lucky!

Actually there's resurgence in the older style music.
Take Folk Music for instance. There's a whole new breed of young, excellent Folk singers.
But I certainly get your point on the timelessness of this great music.
I love this artist, musician and writer. Always have, always will. Enjoy your retirement Mr. Seger!
Am I the only one captivated by the backup singers swaying so seductively in all of their 240p glory?
Check out the drummers and singers in Feargal Sharkey's A Good Heart is Hard to Find.
Don't forget the cowbell...
I saw the against the wind tour in Worcester Mass, went with 50 people including my mom and dad. One of the best shows I ever went to.

Yet another classic
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
"You'll Accomp'ny Me"
Nine Tonight
Capitol Records, 1981
Big 10 party band
Seager and Springstein should do a song together. They both give it all and leave nothing. I pay good money to see that concert.
Prefer to see Bob Seger on his own.
Awesome song Bob ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My favorite!
Love Bob
a special time in this life
Imagine this covered in a chris cornell vocal tone...against the wind. I was 15 in 1980

@Bob Seger Don’t turn me into all the other women. Your story has stay in it now.
