Bring it to brushy mountain! Its in Taylorsville, there's about 40 miles of side by side trails. Lots of flat trails but also trails with a lot of elevation.
The best solution is when the chain is tightened with a rear sprocket and does not go through any tensioner. I couldn't do it otherwise, because I have a gear shift there. Sorry for my english. I am from Europe :D
Hi! We built our chain tensioner using a damper from a car's rear door. It dampens the vibrations and makes the tensioning dynamic. Also I reckon you could shorten the chain for one or two links. Keep up the great work! This thing is amazing!:)
Don't pay any attention to negative comments. Some people have nothing better to do than knock others down because they are jealous of what your doing. Keep it up your doing great I really enjoy your videos thank you.
The light bar looks great, it’s functional and that’s all that matters. One more thing the Hatfield McCoy trails here at the Pinnacle trail head are rated at different levels from easy all the way to extremely difficult. That machine is more than cable of a couple of different levels, maybe not extreme but many of the others. I live about 2 1/2 miles from the trail head.
Extend the light protector bar all around the top and make it a roofrack. Then add a gas can and some tires and you got yourself a cool looking buggy :)
I think the buggy will handle more than you think. The real trick is avoiding tight trails that will cause it to overheat. Slap some bigger tires on and it will handle good. You have massive coilovers. Most trail areas also have wider roads for getting to other trails. I hope you find a good spot though, I wanna see this thing catch some air!
I've had thoughts of building a buggy like this. I was going to use the front differential from an S10 4x4. Turn the engine 90 degrees from the way you have it. The 3.5:1 ratio of that differential would give a lot more options for different gearing or larger tires.
Your chain tensioner needs to be spring-loaded or have some sort of rubber compensator between the tensioner and the support arm for the tensioner, to quiet it down. Another solution would be a (larger) nylon roller like they use on dirt bikes. You definitely lucked out on the intermediate starter gear! You also lucked out that it didn't bend a rod or crack a cylinder wall when it hydro-locked, instead of stripping the starter gear. Will be interesting to see how it runs once you get the gremlins worked out.😉
Hey bud if your bowls are filling up during inactivity either your floats are broken (sinking in the bowl contents) OR the float needles are leaking and just need to be re-seated. Good videos, hope this helps.
Windrock Park would be a good place to go. All the G trails are gravel. Semi flat and long straight aways on some. There’s a few other easy dirt trails that you could take it as well.
The light protector bar looks fine, makes it look like a desert racing machine

I think a turbo would be badass
It's not fuel injected
mak nak you know what that slipped my mind even with the first part of video was him talking about the carburetors smh... but damn how cool would a turbo spool and bov sound on this thing
@@maknak4041 and? Can still turbo it.
@@NVMDSTEvil no you can't cause it will mess with the carburetor.
The light protection actually looks pretty awesome!!
You need to greese things more thats why the nasty noise and probably why last 1 broke!
No lol
@@KingsColas no what?
No.... using grease alone wouldnt stop that noise. Grease has nothing to do with why it did that. Js
Bring it to brushy mountain! Its in Taylorsville, there's about 40 miles of side by side trails. Lots of flat trails but also trails with a lot of elevation.
maybe weld the gear and then get a dremel tool and shoe the teeth?
You didnt finish the video did you?
@@ericrudgers6816 only towards the end
I think the light rack makes it look even better and offers protecion!
In 2019, no matter how hard I try, I cant believe the gear in the Ebay wasnt staged lol.
I like the light protection cage, leave it on, looks cool , I think the dimensions equals out the top. 👍😎
About chain tensioner.... look my video :) I solved it ;)
That good idea Pavel using that type chain guide or could lower chain tensioner by a lot
The best solution is when the chain is tightened with a rear sprocket and does not go through any tensioner. I couldn't do it otherwise, because I have a gear shift there.
Sorry for my english. I am from Europe :D
@@Hermanimace I get it but RBW can lower his a lot, if you had ATC 70 they had a sprocket roller fix tensioner
Hi! We built our chain tensioner using a damper from a car's rear door. It dampens the vibrations and makes the tensioning dynamic. Also I reckon you could shorten the chain for one or two links. Keep up the great work! This thing is amazing!:)
You would be the leader of the world in Mad Max. Yes, it's a compliment. Great videos!
I recomend you to put the air filter as high as you can so that it doesnt suck that much mud and dirt. Great machine btw:D
I'm in NC as well. Let me know if you're ever close to Roxboro or "The Triangle." You're doing a great job with the videos and welding! Keep it up!
Extend the light protector bar all around the top and make it a roofrack. Then add a gas can and some tires and you got yourself a cool looking buggy :)
Probably to sickest buggy build on RUclips.
I like the light bar, I just think the roofline is about 6-8" too high. But that's ok, no biggie. Im glad you finished it out.....wicked build!
That looks like an amazing build to me. Fine work.
Glad you got it working again, waiting for the real shake down
Your chain tensioner needs to be spring-loaded or have some sort of rubber compensator between the tensioner and the support arm for the tensioner, to quiet it down.
That buggy is bad ass. Good luck with the engine man.
Windrock Park would be a good place to go. All the G trails are gravel. Semi flat and long straight aways on some. There’s a few other easy dirt trails that you could take it as well.
Great gob man you had problems and over came evreything To find more and still didnt give up great job
Greetings from Guatemala 🇬🇹 I always watch your videos. excellent projects 👍👍👍
