I am an architecture student and a text about Knap of Howar is my homework. This video helped me a lot. Thank you!
I love this site, and Skara Brae.
There is something about standing in a place that was inhabited by people so long ago. It makes those people at once distant and relatable.
I recall squeezing through that tiny tunnel and being struck by the thought of a ancient person doing the same thing thousands of years ago.
Wow great video. wonderful how they maid there homes.
Interesting work mate! I find it fascinating that it's so close to the water! Makes me think that rising sea levels destroyed this civilization and the other buildings that are now under the water.
Or more likely it was deliberately built close to the water as it is a source of food
How near to the water was it 5000 years ago?
Cool, lots of little things....
The big bad wolf was huffin and puffin.
Pretty crazy how everything is not stolen, I think that’s the most interesting thing.
Thanks for sharing Christopher Knight and Robert lomas in there book Uriel's machine suggested that Enoch was trained by the ancient archaeostronomists in this location, did you get the feeling that it would be a good place for viewing the night sky, thanks again for sharing,
Yes indeed!
ARC of AGES Jj Ainsworth thanks and keep on doing what you're doing great work great research
It looks like a house to me.
Not sure why anyone would assert with certainty that it had any other function.
It has a low profile and thick walls to protect the inhabitants from the elements. You will find plenty of similar structures in Scotland created in recorded history, for example the black houses in Lewis.
No need to bring in Enoch or ancient astronauts to explain this structure.
whoever built this back in the day is a legend caveman!
Welcome to a home by the sea.
Interesting place. Thanks for sharing. You need to get a wind proof mike for your video. They are very inexpensive
For more info read Nicholas Cope groundbreaking book on the site
I was there a day before he made another visit to the site. Hugh and I left him a surprise there, which he found and liked very much :)
You may have seen a microphone that was covered in fur. That is to keep the wind off but let the sound through. I tell you this just in case you luck into a way to shelter your camera from the wind.
Stone la-z-boys!!! 🤐
These people must have been little dwarves or dug down deeper lol
Is it too tall an order to ask you reverse the camera and let us see you talk a bit in these enchanting locations? Such an attractive woman.
My thoughts exactly!
Weirdo
