- A vote to put West Virginia's ban on medically assisted suicide in the West Virginia Constitution narrowly passed on Tuesday night by about 6,000 votes.
Since then, there has been commentary and calls from voters expressing confusion over the wording of the amendment and surprise that it was on the ballot. Some tell Eyewitness News they did not even know what exactly it meant to be for or against it.

Certainly misleading on purpose!
I agree. It was a bit confusing. I had to read it 3 or 4 times to understand it properly.
Same here
You should be able to go on your own terms
Absolutely
We always look so dumb, creating solutions for problems that don't exist. Good luck ever getting a recreational marijuana referendum on the ballot, lol.
the feds could pass it and WV would put in a bill to make it illegal.
@mcheese420 you're absolutely right.
If the state makes it illegal for assisted suicide then the state needs to front the bill for millions of dollars for terminal patients who wish to spare their family the burden!
Of course the wackjobs here voted for it.
Yes I did. West Virginia ain't full of libtards like California. Don't like it move to a state with your like minded views. ✝️🇺🇲 TRUMP WON
That’s the point. Muddy the language
Save Charity
it really isn't confusing at all. if you wanted to ban medically assisted suicide(or, you know, euthanasia) you were to vote for the amendment. If you're a human being and don't like forcing people to suffer needlessly, you voted against the amendment.
