I'm a migrant too myself, from Africa. My family had to sell lands, and I went through all the immigration processes to get here. And I've been here for 17 yrs. I'm a citizen. I pay my taxes, and it's annoying seeing other people coming in illegally and still demanding the same rights as hard-working Americans. So, I don't see any racism here. What every American is saying is, just come in the right way. I legally immigrated here around 25 years ago. I get why people want to come to the USA but really need to do the right thing and come here legally so that you, kids, eventual grandkids etc can take full advantage of what this country has to offer in opportunities. In 2022 they paid over 40 billion dollars to our system. They cannot even use that money themselves but must pay into it if they receive their documented pay. I actually felt bad for a minute for the guy with the child on his shoulders, but then I remembered the Venezuelan immigrants that ended up at a hotel up the road from my house. The town had to hire nannies to babysit the children that had come with them because not one of those men was the father of any of the 10 children. They had somehow gotten hold of these kids and had no idea who they were for easier border crossing. SMH!! Most of the kids couldn’t talk so they had no idea what happened to their real parents. We don’t know if these men murdered them along the way.

I am a legal immigrant, I came with my kids and never experienced racism. We've been treated well since we came, from California, Florida to Texas. We received the same treatment and support, free education for my kids. I'm treated fairly and respectfully at work and I am very greatful for everything. As a conservative- born and raised American- I love the people that cross legally. Illegal immigration ruins the chances for legal immigrants to make it through. Legal immigrants fight for their citizenship- sadly waiting years old a waiting list… Yet those that are crossing illegally are digging under the border wall or walking right through the openings while law abiding immigrants are waiting patiently to become citizens.

I'm a migrant too myself, from Africa. My family had to sell lands, and I went through all the immigration processes to get here. And I've been here for 17 yrs. I'm a citizen. I pay my taxes, and it's annoying seeing other people coming in illegally and still demanding the same rights as hard-working Americans. So, I don't see any racism here. What every American is saying is, just come in the right way. I work 70 hrs a week with my overtime still being taxed, I don't want to be working and sweating through my nose for someone else to enjoy.

I legally immigrated here around 25 years ago. I get why people want to come to the USA but really need to do the right thing and come here legally so that you, kids, eventual grandkids etc can take full advantage of what this country has to offer in opportunities. I actually felt bad for a minute for the guy with the child on his shoulders, but then I remembered the Venezuelan immigrants that ended up at a hotel up the road from my house. The town had to hire nannies to babysit the children that had come with them because not one of those men was the father of any of the 10 children. They had somehow gotten hold of these kids and had no idea who they were for easier border crossing. SMH!! Most of the kids couldn’t talk so they had no idea what happened to their real parents. We don’t know if these men murdered them along the way.

I am a legal immigrant, I came with my kids and never experienced racism. We've been treated well since we came, from California, Florida to Texas. We received the same treatment and support, free education for my kids. I'm treated fairly and respectfully at work and I am very greatful for everything.
