Hello Ladies, I'm a year late but your vid really helped me when I scrambled for info on how to shoot large parties. These tips were very helpful. I had great help organizing the family members Its always hard for me to leave room for cropping!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This video could not have come at the more perfect time! I have like half a dozen family photo shoots this summer and my first one is tonight! I have done extended family photos in the past, but it has been several years! This is going to be so helpful for tonight!!!! Thank you so much for this video and all the other videos y'all have done. They are all so helpful!! I always learn so much from y'all!! Thanks again!
Awesome, cool to see that we have the same approach to the extended family sessions. The room for cropping is so important! These are also the only sessions that I tend to use a tripod - it forces me to pay attention to my framing/cropping room, and makes for easier head swaps in the larger group if needed.
My word you are so so helpful!! I am dreading extended family photoshoots but your video really gave the best walkthrough of the whole session. Thank you!
BLESS YOUR HEARTS! Yesterday at a networking event, I was asked if I could do an extended family session of 20 people on a beach, and then individual family portraits!😳 Of course, I said yes! I've photographed smaller groups before so I knew with a little more information I could work with a group this large! Your video AND FREE GUIDE are life savers!! Thank you SOOO MUCH! I have much more confidence in booking this session because I now have a plan to execute it! Blessings!!
You ladies are amazing!! I wish my twin sister was a photographer with me 😝 I watched this video the night before my family session and it helped so much! Thank you!!
Thank you for posting this video! I normally do senior sessions, but I’m trying different things and have a bigger family shoot booked this weekend. Your tips are super helpful. I appreciate the information.
Hi! I have watched a couple of your videos so far and love your work! I have a question for you… do you shoot in RAW? And how important is it to shoot in RAW?
I have so many extended family shoots coming up. This was great! Would love to hear about great benches or stools that would be a good asset to my gear for these type of situations. Also, do you ever use flash? Thanks again!!
I'm a drone photographer but I just started my business so I'm thinking of doing a few family portraits to keep the $ flowing in for now. Still a bit intimidating but this helped!
I love this video. I am grandma ... what do you do if weather is bad and need to pose indoors? I have smaller room. Grandparents , 6 adults and 6 children from 17 years to 2!
Thanks for tuning in today! We hope this video has helped you prepare for your next extended family shoot.

Hi! Thank you for the tips, this is super helpful! What lens(es) are you using for these sessions?
Thanks ladies! I always question how far to move around to different parts of the park with generational photos.

Hi again! Is your family questionnaire available?
Such a good video. I am the grandmother how can I look better, thinner and not so stiff in a photo. I never like myself in a photo
I have trouble managing expectation with the large group of children. I feel like even if I warm them they expect all smiles, all looking.
What camera would you recommend for the DSLR camera?
What are your prices for this type of session
Whats your typical aperture when shooting the whole group? My biggest fear is always getting everyone in focus
Great question! We are typically at an f4 or f5 with a group this size. :)
