Hello Ladies, I'm a year late but your vid really helped me when I scrambled for info on how to shoot large parties. These tips were very helpful. I had great help organizing the family members
Its always hard for me to leave room for cropping!

Awesome, cool to see that we have the same approach to the extended family sessions. The room for cropping is so important!
These are also the only sessions that I tend to use a tripod - it forces me to pay attention to my framing/cropping room, and makes for easier head swaps in the larger group if needed.

BLESS YOUR HEARTS! Yesterday at a networking event, I was asked if I could do an extended family session of 20 people on a beach, and then individual family portraits!😳 Of course, I said yes! I've photographed smaller groups before so I knew with a little more information I could work with a group this large! Your video AND FREE GUIDE are life savers!! Thank you SOOO MUCH! I have much more confidence in booking this session because I now have a plan to execute it! Blessings!!

Hi! I have watched a couple of your videos so far and love your work! I have a question for you… do you shoot in RAW? And how important is it to shoot in RAW?

I have so many extended family shoots coming up. This was great! Would love to hear about great benches or stools that would be a good asset to my gear for these type of situations. Also, do you ever use flash? Thanks again!!

I'm a drone photographer but I just started my business so I'm thinking of doing a few family portraits to keep the $ flowing in for now. Still a bit intimidating but this helped!

I love this video. I am grandma ... what do you do if weather is bad and need to pose indoors? I have smaller room. Grandparents , 6 adults and 6 children from 17 years to 2!

I have trouble managing expectation with the large group of children. I feel like even if I warm them they expect all smiles, all looking.

Whats your typical aperture when shooting the whole group? My biggest fear is always getting everyone in focus

Great question! We are typically at an f4 or f5 with a group this size. :)
