Wow, thank you!! I really need this for a Star Wars fanfilm I'm working on!
Halo Mashups holy crap same
did u make it yet
36:08 "Aaaaahhhh My computer just crashed!" LOL
What are you doing here, Ryan King?
@@ExpertManOfficial Hey! I watch other Blender RUclipsrs tutorials as well. lol
Binged watched your video editing tutorial , Loved every bit of it, i just wanted to ask how do you make your green screen transparent in your tutorials and how do i add animations to it after making it transparent, also after making it transparent do i save the animation and bring it to my video editor with other clips, i am a bit confused lol, i am a finance guy filming a course trying to put out a tutorial myself.
@@vana1550 Hello. Glad you enjoyed my video editing series. My Screen Recording Software, OBS, does the Green Screening in real time as I record, so my face is a part of the recorded video.
my man i was doing motion tracking from past 7 days and been stuck bcz of 3 detailed mistakes that occurred I was literally binge watching this tutorial and you had all 3 of them sought out .....you saved me tons of time effort and money ....i am gonna meet you in person and thank you In person ....guess i should make a list of all those who makes detailed tutorial
wow, blender is great 3D software!!! Thank you for nice tutorial CG Geek!
This video was a lifesaver. Extremely informative and easy to follow. Subbed!
The issues in the dark shadows are the most important problems I have. I'm ending up with masking out dynamically those spots. It's a painful work if your shot is very long. But it is the best way to get rid of this problems. But in the end this whole chromakey technique of blender is the best I have ever seen. Thank you for your good tutorials!
Thank you for making this video. im day three new to blender in covid lockdown and this is great. thankyou very much
one of the coolest blender tutorials on you tube, thank you CG Geek.
A nice insight into the blender video editor with the greenbox, and what is possible if you are a little more intense with blender video deals.
I'm always thinking of whether I should cut the videos in another program and set to music, but I see again so great blender tutorials and wants to do it with blender.
Blender has everything you need. And fortunately, there are also the tutorials on RUclips like this one
11:31 this silhouette looks cool, i could well imagine on a black t-shirt, or as a record cover for a cd..... very nice
IT REMINDS ME OF UP AND UP SONG BY COLDPLAY
^^^ My absolute favorite music video!
Thank you, now I can stop looking for it and go back to this video. :)
DUDE I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY THAT
You are the best teacher CG Geek. Every time I go to other tutorials they confuse me but you always get me the results all the time
I'm Brazilian and I've been following your channel for a long time! your videos are very good keep making videos like that !!
EPIC video! A tutorial series on nodes would be nice. Those things are so intimidating! Thanks for the great content!
one of the most useful videos ever for 2.8
Everybody a gansgta, until someone scales himself up and starts playing guitar on the city
Antariksh Patre u deserve more likes
@@bigappleandbass9379 I agree.
"... over a small city so it might not look completely realistic but it's very creative and it looks cool you can't deny that"
I can´t and I will not deny that 😂 * Thank you very much for your tutorial ! 👍❤
Dude! how could you miss the opportunity of putting yourself GIANT over some distant mountains screaming "AAAAAHHHHHHHH"

that would be amazing aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh aaaahhhhh aaaahhh ahahhhhh ahhhh ahaha hhhaaaaaaaaah aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

Pretty cool special effects and using the new Blender 2.8 Beta is boss! nice job. I may be using Blender for VFX in the near future. Will refer back to your video here if I need compositing help.
36:08 I love this part
thanks for this video I needed this :)
Great video! I keep coming back to it for more ideas. Thanks.
Thumbs up to the Blender Foundation and community - making and developing Blender a Multi-Purpose CG and Video Editing software! Though, I hope they will change the node-based compositor to a much non-complex compositor like in After Effects. I mean node-based is good, it's just that it would be better if they added an option to change it for beginners.
Honestly you are better off staying in AE for your compositing anyways. Also don't be intimidated by node based stuff. It seems daunting at first but I swear if you force yourself to get used to it it is better.
@@FinalGrade Yes, I know how nodes work. It's just that I'm new to the node modules in Blender. I just don't like CC After Effects and Premiere Pro because it's not workable on an old machine. 😂
@@FinalGrade I avoided nodes in blender for years especially when cycles came out but at the end it took me one single 30 min tutorial on YT to understand the basics. It looks complicated at first sight but it's not
The blender compositor is mediocre at best. After Effects is more versatile and much faster (and speed is important in compositing). Personally I love Nuke and therefor also the free Natron (which now is basically dead in the water). Nose based compositing is easier than layer based. Especially for larger composites. Layers get confusing when you have 20 or more 3D elements with all their passes.
Best video lbs no one was clear on how to IMPORT a video into Blender
Pretty sure you already know this but in System in user preferences under CUDA you can also check your Threadripper for even faster GPU + CPU renders
Love the setup
Brilliant ! Thank you 😊
when you dont gave time for making animations background, then make an animation with background made from big green planes and then follow steps in this video:)
Thank you, sweet man. ;) Please more videos.
Thanks, I can't wait to see how do you do 3d matte painting with blender 2.8
Thank you! Well needed.
This is such a valuable video
Thank you so much for this video
Wow super i think 2 ask you but you done really great
Would it improve the green screen if you lit the back of the green screen? (Hopefully making the green screen more vivid and easier to mask.)
I'm coming from after effects. So really,, you have to output the image files after keying? That's cheezy, there's no way to hook the output of the composite into the texture of a plane as material? I'm surprised because everything else in blender is connected together but then this tool is just an island? Is there such a thing as pre-composite in blender? I thought I learned of such a thing in previous versions - forget the term though after over a year away from this program. Thanks for learning me though, I subscribed.
I guess no, I don't know why he did that. Blender works better with image sequence but I don't see a reason for this, and about precomp, you can create a node group and use that as a piece of pre comp
Shader nodes?
we have the same monitor & mic! thanks for the vid
Really thanks for 9:36 !!!!
Thnxxxx Bro, i really needed it for making Davie504's video edits Competetion
You're a cool dude, and handsome to boot! Handsome, handsome boy
Awesome video, thank you very much for helping me with my first blender projects! One question: Is it possible to have multiple masks over the same image/clip? Some colors do not show because of glare from the green screen. Thanks!
Sir after adding back ground image.. It shows me a small image
What can I do. Please help in it
The led signature of your GPUs bounce off the screen but without horizontal fliping. How is this possible? :O
double reflection?
@@SpinalSnowCat yes, it seems like the right part of the curved screen reflects the GPU, and the screen reflects on itself
I just put up an advanced keying tutorial, the so called core matte ¥ edge matte keying.
You can get those lovely semi transparent areas at the edges and hard inside. It even helps to make decent keys with shitty compressed 8 bit footage.
Great bro
I thought green screens were supposed to be pulled tight so there are no wrinkles? You have some ripples in the fabric at the top end of the guitar, so does that mean you don't get as good a key? Is making a green screen *perfect* overkill and unnecessary?
greatttttt video bro
Great Video :-) Thanks for the great tutorial.
I still have a question, how to do that with the camera traking ?
Have a nice day
Thank you for such a valuable tutorial.
I face an issue in masking. While I move the playhead forward in the timeline to ensure that no part of my subject is out of masking, after a certain period my RAM runs out and the blender is crashed. Can you suggest how this issue can be be dealt?
is there a way to cut down lag in the viewport so that you can work with the timing of the image sequences on multiple planes to sync to audio?
I have multiple masks set to key frames but for some reason my masks arent cutting out the rest of the footage. Even when I'm just using a single mask. I havent had the problem previously.... just trying to troubleshoot... when I switch over to matte view it looks like I only have the insides of my masks selected. But when I move back to image view it looks like my masks atent cutting out their exterior... any suggestions? I'm two weeks deep into this this one and I'd hate to have to scrap it
Hey Steve!!!! After editing a video or doing some VFX, what should I do? I have to render the whole video or save it like a simple video? Pleaseeeeeeee..... Tell me............!!!!!! I need ur advice..
Hi I would like to ask you a question
In my scene I added a green screen as image but the light of the subject in the green screen doesn’t not match with the light of the scene How can I avoid that ?????
I don’t understand why the video change when I add as plans in the scene it looks like Blurry........thanks Andrea
Thanks Steve
its a very very helpful video, thank you a looot
thanks bro
Why is it still necessary to export the footage (as individual images, no less) and then re-importing it? Surely there's a way to port the footage into the 3d scene from within the program - otherwise there's no reason for it all to be the same program...
"Beginner" tutorial? seemed very complicated. but... thanks... can be followed it is just still so complex.
Lots of info for beginners when it comes to shooting video and basic compositing. Even if the later steps (compositing over the city with motion) is a bit challenging for a complete beginner, I think this video should be really helpful for beginners in general to get started with VFX in Blender. :)
Hi CR, I am looking for a green screen particle effect that could possibly have been done on blender.
Is there a way that I can share a youtube link and you tell me if it can be done on blender? All the best, thank you.
fe fi fo fum play my guitar and strum So cool I cant wait to try it
Whatffffffff you get RTX 20 serious and two of them😱🤯
Anyone know where I can find free HD clips of green screen tracking scenes with an actor for practicing? Would love some of a character just walking down a camera or with some stable camera moves around the person.
Hi Bro, what's the name of the song in the begining? It sounds cool!
Thank you very much for the tutorial !! All clear.
In my case
the mask doesn't really work.
On "Compositing" masking works and the green screen disappears, but when I render I see "the green screen" but with gray color (like a chess board -gray and dark gray)
Can anybody help me?
TY in advance
Great tutorial, by the way what specs does your computer run?
If you move a lot in your shot and it messes with the greenscreen, couldn't you just add a keyframe with adjusted settings?
congrats to 1M
What PC case do you have there? Great video btw!
Steve you are so cool how do you know all these stuff
The audio of the video is lost with this method. How to retain it?
steve, steve, steve!!!!
what kind of guitar is that?
looks like a hamer or a kramer.
Hi there, i've been trying to get this wokred out over the last few days but im a bit stumped. do you have the time for a question please?
When I am rendering my video (after removing green mask and not adding any background) blender is automatically adding black background because of which when I import it as an image as plane all the black background is coming too nd it's messing up everything for me..... Can anyone help me?
Thank you for the tutorial! I have one quick question. At around 22:20 mark, your video blends perfectly with the other video but in my case, there's a transparency around the subject. I can't find a way to get rid of it. Anyone knows the solution?
I have the same problem.
Nice Logo animation. Can make video to
teach to make something
similar? I mean i can make simlar.. but i use probably wrong technics and it woun`t be so smooth..
Good video, BUT the render video has no audio, isn't???? because it is a bunch images inside a video, no a video inside another video.
I've been using this for a few projects but I have some questions... how can I manipulate the shape of the mask with keyframes?
Good tutorial! What if you want to do it with a picture and not a video clip
just add a picture unput node unstead of a video input node
Armel Cubizolles thank you so much dude!
It's really helpful ❤❤❤❤
How can I use the transparent video on the video editor?
My masking doesn't work -,- I mean I wanted to cut out like a banner and change it to something else but whatever I do it only renders the banner but the entire video is blank and I can't invert it in any way. PLS HHALPPPPP
how can i overlay this green screen footage over an allready existing video with movment?
Even on the newest version masks aren't showing up in the compositor for me. They scrub through just fine in tracking but just don't do anything v_v. Also multi-pass didn't make the clear bubble go away. I just wanna get this right >_
My viewer node is not updating the scene in the composite editor and for some reason when I sample my greens I'm getting blue and not a removed color overall
is there a way to remove green screen in the video editing page
W O O O O W 😍
Does the Import-Export: Images as Planes addon work with Eevee yet?
If I'm using a still background, what do I do after putting the background in?
I go put a shiny mesh in front of my video would it reflect the video
why cant i find the keying node in shading? i wanna do this but with textures.
how about video can we overlap mesh by video ?
Any way to put that clip onto a material or texture without having to render out to file(s) first?
I couldn’t download blender on my laptop. Can I get help pls? I’m watching all your videos but I don’t have access to blender
Could anyone please help/point me in the right direction. Course/another video/website, please!! When I render I have no sound. He stated at about the 17 min it's good to render with a still image in the background. When I do that I have no sound. I am just trying to do a simple green screen, me talking with picture or text behind me. Is there a sound node or am I missing something??
Great video...but someone know how match the image as plane with the size of the camera view?
when my scene renders its just black pls help me
I can't see the background image through the plane (yes I enabled transparent), it's just alpha squares covering it where it overlaps. And it still just renders what I had in the compositing tab, rather than what's in the 3D viewport... And before anyone says it, yes I also enabled Cycles, I did everything he said, it appears this tutorial is already outdated or my Blender install is bugged.
are you editing this videos in blender's vse?
Довольно много действий для такой "простой" операции. Непонятно как это будет еще работать для анимации. Это вариант разве что только для одного кадра.
Why is my transparent is still showing in the green screen footage??
You have the composite node linked to what?
Plz tell me how to export video to primer pro
And how to truck background green screen to a blender object ?
Wouldn't this be alot easier, in after effects?
18:56 into what folder? I can only save 1 png at a time once it's done rendering
You choose the folder in the output menu. And click render animation, not render image
Cold play-up and up
Is there a way to sync up the videos in the compositor? I have two videos that need to be synced, and the best way I can think of to do it, is to just render myself out with the alpha cut out, and overlay that in the video editor, but it would be nice to just have one already synced video clip
My question lives here as well;
