- I have used a shutter from a Sony Nex-5t camera. Exactly the same shutter is also used in many other cameras.

Hi, big thanks for this video- it saved my butt! When I was disassembling the camera nex-5r I couldn’t find that one hidden screw that was under the sticker next to shutter flex cable/board. Accidentally i took the shutter mechanism apart and all the springs came loose and things popped out - i new it will be a disaster. I couldn’t find any instructions how to put it back nor how this works. Obviously it didn’t work after assembling together and there was too many things to assemble back to check each possibility. When you showed how it works at least i was able to test it without putting everything back every single time! Now my camera works again! Actually it wasn’t even mine it was a friend of mine and I didn’t do it for profit so again big thanks mate!
Thanks for the info. 👍
Thank you for the explaination! That helped me a lot to fix my shutter!
A very useful videos as I had to take out the mechanical shutter of my Sony NEX-6 because it kept causing errors.
I have opened the shutter mechanism to see what's inside but can't put it back together.
Would be nice to see assembly of a working shutter mechanism to see how parts are put together.
Great job!
very useful videos,
thanks
Wow awesome video
good video .. kip uploading
thank you for the video, so which mechanism to open the upper curtain, is it still the same motor but in reverse?
How many voltage required to check motor
Спасибо, Марек.
How many volts are supplied to electromagnets?
How to adjust the tension of the springs that hold the lower and upper curtains?
Thank you so much for this video!
I have a problem with my a6000! the shutter is stuck with the error message " turn the power off then on" when i turn on the camera there is a very loud noise! the sound come out of the shutter drive motor i think, and the shutter still close.
is this the shutter or the motor drive problem?
I don'n know, maybe the problem is in the gear between the motor and the shutter
great video! what tool do you use to give it the 3 volts voltage, i also took mine out as my sony a6000 kept saying turn off camera. Long story short i bought a new whole replacement piece, and it worked until I touched a hot wire from the camera with a metal tweezer then a mini electro pop happened.. after that it didnt turn on. What do you think i fried? or should i let the inner battery die out before tempting to charge it and hopefully it turns on?
So what does the motor do in the shutter unit? Does the curtains move using the motor or do they have electro magnetic movements?
Do you know if the resistence of the 2 magnets must be the same? I have Sony A65v and it has stuck closed shutter. Motor is working. One magnet shows something like 60 kohms and the other 15. is the 15 one problem?
I don't know
What tool are you using?
I have the camera shutter closed the whole time. I believe it is the one you show at this moment 0:19 since it is similar.
Can I fix it without opening the camera?
I tried moving it with hand and it moves all the way to fully opened, then if I release it, it fully closes again.
Not sure where the problem is. Maybe you can help?
So when shooting video, the shutter is opening and closing around 24 times a second for the 24fps? and 60 times for the 60fps. More developed cams 120 times closing and opening per second for a video of 120fps? am I right?
Most cameras just use an electronic shutter in that case.
Ok this is shutter for Sony alpha?
It is a shutter for Sony NEX-5T. Maybe a Sony alpha has the same, but I don't know.
hi. do you mid if i use this video in my videos?
Yes, you can use it.
@ thankss!
