I thought your use of the term "niche" came because of hunter tiers lists: hunters below the meta being used a lot less, but still being far more capable and powerful than the average if mastered (because that's what niche is, specialized yet not mainstream), like Galatea, Wax artist, Luchino, Alva, etc. I think it's really fitting, specially along the other terms you use to categorize them (tie guarantee, doable without full team vc, too many counters). But yeah, the term wouldn't make sense for a survivor tier list. "All-rounder" sounds way better here because we don't really have many great niche characters in the survivor faction.
If you are an opportunist, great. Play him. Use parcel first thing if a hunter is nearby, becore you need anything, or if the hunter is a distance away, pick the first chest you *pass,* and aim for gun or similar andvantage item and save the tool for later, when you just start getting chased. This way, you think in terms of ceetainties when playing him, not luck.

A couple of things I wanted to point out as a Fire Investigator player: 1. Teammates can actually deflate airbags themselves, its not exclusive to Fire Investigator. This means if a Fire Investigator accidentally blocks your route, you can just deflate the airbags and keep moving. I'm not sure how this isn't a known thing, so I want to let you know 2. Fire Investigator's airbags inflate slower if you just drop them down. If you just tap the button to drop an airbag, it takes a second for it to inflate itself, whereas tossing it will cause the airbags to inflate instantly. Because of this, you always want to toss your airbags and you always want to put some distance between you and the airbags, as to not get affected by the pushback. Typically, 6-8 meters is the sweet spot for when the airbags fully inflate and you will be able to reach them to bounce off of them. 3. The airbag size is something that can hurt you in certain cases, but it can also help you in others. There are certain spots where the airbags will allow survivors to squeeze through a gap, but the Hunter cannot. This forces the Hunter to pop the airbags while also giving you more distance. You can also just ignore the risk entirely and use airbags in open spaces. These airbags are still good because they're essentially elbow pads, but you dont need to be next to a wall to use. You also limit the risk of bumping into stuff with the airbags because you have more control of where you go. Airbags push is based on where your camera is facing, so it allows players to ease into the transition item, as opposed to elbow pads. 4. Contrary to their use cases, airbags are not just a kiting and support tool. They are also a really good rescue tool. They can be used to get closer to the chair much faster like Merc's elbow pad, only you can return to reclaim your items when you're done. The pushback effect doesn't cancel your rescue animation, so you can use it for extra protection whenever you're going for the rescue. Rescued survivors can then use those airbags to transition quickly to better areas, though that depends if they know how they work. Finally, they could potentially trap the Hunter on certain chairs or prevent them from easily hitting you. Ive been playing Florian since he was added and I genuinely believe he is the best pseudo rescuer in the game despite not even being a pseudo rescer. Florian can be a really hard survivor to play as because his airbags seem wonky at first. However, once you've mastered them, I feel he can be one of the most rewarding survivors in the game. Im really excited for his buff because it'll strengthen the one aspect of his kit I felt needed buffs, which is his support. Florian is a really underrated survivor from my experience and i do hope this comment will at least shine some light on certain aspects of his kit.
@@reiko3963 One more tip I'll also throw in for you is that if you hold down the airbag button and not adjust the distance at all, you automatically set the airbag at the sweet spot thanks to the minimum distance nerf. Yo Kuro, haven't watch the whole video yet but heres some things i wanted to point out 1. Another reason why reason aeroplanist is strong in bo1 is because patient is weak when ivy isn't banned, due to patient hook being VERY easy to cancel 2. Cheerleader has a very high skill ceiling, naeu might have a bit different meta but the consensus amongst asia players is that Cheerleader is strong and has always been good 3. Puppeteer is the best counter to 单刀 , which is enough to make him have a high usage rate and justify him for high tier, always important is that his skill can be used before he gets stunned (ivy hermit gamekeeper etc) , i think you should've mentioned his healing weakness more thoroughly though, with his healing mechanic of half heals being quite annoying to use when tasked with healing rescuers against hunters with 0.5, an example being healing half health forward/gravekeeper/first officer meaning they still can't save gamekeeper 2nd chair. 4. Composer is probably better than you think, for most hunters without movement he is a pain to first chase, since he will always have at least 2 speed boosts off chair (chair boost and tune boost) making him slightly more difficult to eliminate quickly. also the main benefit of playing composer is that his "ability cycle" is WAY better than just having 2 speed boosts, his speedboost uptime makes even some mobility hunters have a difficult time (ex mary). also its slightly weird to have the main point against him be that its too "distracting" to decode, and that his decoding isnt consistent. about 30min of practice should be sufficent for hitting 80 on lvl3 consistently, (also idv rhythm game mechanics are quite forgiving) 5. There is simply no reason to pick minds eye in the current meta, everything she does, lawyer does better, (literally everything) , and games with minds eye usually end in a snowball victory or instant loss due to minds eye not having any 2nd/3rd kite (would personally suggest switching with embalmer 6. Novelist is probably a bit weaker than you think, he's very weak first kite, and most hunters can prevent him from having 2nd kite by pinching skill and turning around to not have him get more skill 7. Coordinator is actually quite good in current meta, having one of the few stuns that can actually hamper opera singer, same with wildling being stronger due to having infinite tool and being the hardest to chase 8. Cowboy and prisoner could possibly be a bit weaker due to being wildly inconsistent and having strict upgrades General tier list wise, i don't think "niche" should be the tier below antiquarian and friends, (suggesting another tier below anti and friends "generally strong") anti and friends should probably only have anti and the 3 hatted ones

this tierlist is perfect im an oldbie (played for 6 years) and if u guys wanna rank up easy try survivors in the antiquarian n friends tierlist and master them as they has a low percent of getting nerfed again (they already got too much nerf lol) and they fit with mostly any teamcomp or against any type of hunter niche tier is also amazing survivors but they're a bit weaker bonus- Journalist (alice) is also niche because she can resc and kite also support really great without giving the hunter pressence
Cheerleader is super op because she’s a support character (and the best one in the game imo) that can give you speed boosts, revive you repeatedly if given enough time, and can get rid of your cooldowns without even being nearby (postman cries while comparing their wifi abilities, same with psychologist). But ON TOP OF THAT, she has super high survivality and rebound kite capacity because she’s made like a containment character with her own speed boost item that *RECHARGES*, even if not the fastest currently.
Hope more ppl play and understand new survivors before giving opinions esp on fire investigator I've noticed the hate on his character in general and abilities and the idea that he isn't strong when 90% of the ppl who have this idea barely play him if not play him at all. He has 2 airbags that can be used to rescue support or kite. His kiting is more than 60s guaranteed. He can transitional and tight kite. If he places the ball in open space and uses it to dash, due to his passive skill he gets an INSANE speed boost that makes transitioning to other areas so easy without the risk of hunters hitting u. If they dont destroy the ball, u can loop back to the ball and get another 20s into ur kite. If they do, u wouldve already gained so much distance that the hunter either is forced to leave u or has to chase u and loses another 40s just from how far u can travel with the ball. Saying that its not helpful to other survivors because the boost is small is a flawed point. The fact that he has the ability to give ANY survivor a boost is more than enough and talking about what the boost couldve been is not a valid point when the boost can be used to assist in multiple scenarios. It doesnt make it any different from a cheerleader boost which last a few seconds but can save u from getting hit. His power to block off areas can be crazy and has helped me in almost every match. U can allow a survivor to transition/kite for an extra 20s by having smart ball placements late game. His kiting is very strong and his support is good enough to be able to save matches. He can also rescue very good against hunters like nightwatch and bloodyqueen who get hits from distance when someone is chaired and his decoding buff is a good positive too. People place fire investigator low only for points of what he could've been not acknowledging what he actually is. He is a strong kiter, support, rescuer. He can transition and tight kite which is essential in this meta where hunters r getting good at doing both. He is amazing for solo rank as he is a great rescuer and kiter and if yk how to use him u dont need to rely on anyone else. I've seen way too many ppl judging him and ranking him low despite not understanding his character and the immense hate for his character only pushes the view that his abilities r bad when they genuinely cannot possibly be bad. He has 2 merc guantlets that can be used to support and rescue. If u dont know how to use him his support can be seen as niche but his kiting is still extremely strong. No hate of course, i just hope anyone who is reading this decides to analyze and play new survivors instead of hating on them because ive noticed a new trend which is hating on new survivors and not understanding their abilities, labeling them as bad before even trying them out or before theyve even been out for more than a few months.
I don't disagree that Lucky Guy is unreliable, but I think a lot of people underestimate the power of a guaranteed wand. It's definitely not as good as the other items, but it can save you a lot. I'm a Magician main, but before him I used to play Lucky Guy and I noticed how great the wand actually is and it doesn't even require you to gamble. However, of course, if you're going for a wand, you can just play Magician (which is what I did lol). The problem with Lucky Guy is simply the waste of time to get items, instead of him being Lucky. If he started with two parcels, instead of one, I think he'd already be WAY more consistent (and I think it'd be broken, but it's just a hypothetical). I'd still put him on unreliable ofc, but I really disagree on the take of requiring luck and instead it's just the waste of time. Ideally, if you're not first chase, you'll do exactly what you mentioned about chest areas, you'll be in a chest-heavy area, get an item (it wastes a bit of time, but not as much as it seems) and get enough for you to possibly work as a second rescuer. The lack of debuffs make that spending a bit of time like that is not really a hassle.
Something I have noticed in particular with many tier lists Ive seen is how differently hunters and survivors pick. Hunter mains usually have Puppeteer as S tier while survivor mains usually have him as F. I guess it’s just different perspectives. Still will like the video though 🙏🏽 : ). Edit: Scabula Tier List In order S Tiers Antiquarian Priestess Mercenary First Officer Seer A Tiers Acrobat Psychologist Patient Aeroplanist Toy Merchant Coordinator Gardener Cheerleader Lawyer Forward Entomologist Female Dancer Thief B Tiers Cowboy Prospector Novelist Batter Embalmer Grave Keeper Magician Barmaid C Tiers Wildling Painter Perfumer "Faro Lady" Explorer Weeping Clown Composer Fire Investigator Journalist "Prisoner" D Tiers Puppeteer Professor Postman Enchantress Lucky Guy F Tiers Little Girl The Mind's Eye Doctor Mechanic
Must be accurate cuz I look at that tier list like "Nah tf is this" and I've probably played more duo hunters games as survivor than normal games as survivor lol. On that 99% hunter playrate
As a person who has been maining puppeteer for some time now I must say he is a very good character once you know how to use him properly. His only downside is being unable to get healed (but if you bring barmaid for Dovlin or psychologist it's not a Biggie). Another thing is the healing speed of other survs but you can adjust it with lil bit of healer persona to make it work well
@@myscabula i also think the opposite is true as well. "Im bad against x character so they're OP" As well as potentially "Im not good with x so they're bad" Its generally likely to let your own biases get in the way without knowing.

Fire Investigator must be the most underwhelming character in this game ever, like at best his design (that smile baits you so much) and title are kinda interesting to look at, but once you know both his game mechanics and backstory you realize he's below mid. Yeah the "teammates can't pick balls up" isn't real but that doesn't take away that at best he could be a team comp dependentant character, because he can't do much by his own and most people who play him do so casually or shaping their entire team towards him to make it work (such as having 2 florians at the same time, which you can't do in a rank match)
I wish they would have given him a hose with water so he could shoot water to the hunter or even fly. That concept alone would have carried him so far that he could be the new composer (all about style and enjoyment, nothing about reliability).
as a First explorer in NA/Eu I dont think getting 2 pages is priority is more on giving the 50 page to someone has 50 cipher progress and then get the second page

tbh its way to survivor sided now especially flywheel its so broken bruh like every match i play as hunter everyone use it than tide.. and believed me when i say this as a hunter.. i pray they pick tide instead of flywheel all the way its just to broken... its like u used blink and counter it with flywheel my blood pressure is rising of flywheel
@@sera48gI honestly don’t think she’s THAT bad for a kiter. Her tap-tap ability lets her see the hunter location at all times if they’re within heartbeat radius, so it’s really useful especially if the hunter mindgames with their red light
@@f.r.y5031 it's really depends on the situation and very contextual, using tme might tie guarantee if you don't get chased first since your decoding buff is insane even if your teamate doesn't kite long, there's still higher chances to tie compared using other characters, but it's better to not use her in higher rank since it's risky since hunters are smarter
Im not lg main, but I really hoping ne will buff lg soon. Decrease her cooldown pls. Or give a slow 35% for 2.5s after the pushback and if the hunter stuck w/objects they will get 1.5s stun instead of slow/pushback
Like, 60s for only pushback, no stun, or slow. Is really not worth it lmao. 60s with stun/slow is good, or just bring back her old size page and her antistun.
Yes she's very annoying and a GOOD support (not that annoying, but can make a decent distance). But solo containment is really really bad I would say. That's why she really need buff
I'm confused about the ranking... you talked about high and low niche but is it higher on the right and lower niche the more left on the tier or am i just over analyzing it?
2:15:28 if you bring windows and use the best out of the speed boost from pallet and windows along with the full passive that means you basically have to kite for 18 seconds every 40 seconds 😭 (16.66 +3+3=22, 40-22=18)
Off- related question but where are you from? Your accent sounds a bit Australian but is still really peculiar with unique elements. I'm genuinely curious 😁
For me postman is a bit like Lucky Guy (but support version) in the sense that he tries to be a multi-use character but doesn't really excel at anything and becomes quite useless when being the one getting chased
yes youre right but LG is like a high-risk *REALLY* high-reward while postman gives highr-eward with no risk lg needs at least 1-2 succed chest to be good while postman has letters and dog that can be used again
@@hongtaowo Yeah in that sense he can have it easier if you manage to not be the one kiting. But you could also argue a Lucky Guy who’s not kiting will 100% get his necessary items to become useful in the match as well, because it doesn’t take that much time to get a chest open as him and you also have his parcel. 1 secured item and an extra
yes lg can be good im actually a LG main since the game came out and he can use items combined to be effective i still thinks that he needs a buff because he struggles a bit too much in a meta where hunters can find him easily and wont let him get an easy advantage
Niche on Google meant a good position in life so I thought that was the only meaning to Niche xD. I’ve changed it for the hunter tierlist coming out soon! But Niche in this case means Versatile or Good Overall!
The word niche would literally mean that there are very few limited scenarios where a character is viable. Why would u name your second best tier that? It makes no sense
Yeah I agree, to me niche is more like team comp dependant whereby they excel in very specific situations (team comp/specific hunter faced). I think a good replacement would be "current meta" but versatile works too! :)
Fiona is really map dependent, and outside of ET and Chinatown she can only excel in very specific areas, she’s also pretty communication dependent as well. Her Ultra Long portal is really powerful but has an extremely long cd and can be removed easily, especially if the hunter has mobility to counter it.

niche tier is also amazing survivors but they're a bit weaker
bonus- Journalist (alice) is also niche because she can resc and kite also support really great without giving the hunter pressence
Oh wow didn’t expect a tierlist let’s go. Buckling up for 2 hours
Agree! Many people underestimate puppeteer but his ability to take 4 hits is just insane!
I just got back to idv after like a 3 new character got released this is so help thank you
Finna listen to this whole
I can't tell whether you're Irish or not...if you are it's nice to see a fellow Irish idv player
Yes Hi I am Irish xD
@@KuroshiroGaming hell yeah!! So nice to see other Irish ppl playing :)
Something I have noticed in particular with many tier lists Ive seen is how differently hunters and survivors pick. Hunter mains usually have Puppeteer as S tier while survivor mains usually have him as F. I guess it’s just different perspectives. Still will like the video though 🙏🏽 : ).

Another thing is the healing speed of other survs but you can adjust it with lil bit of healer persona to make it work well
I think often times people are confusing themselves being op at a character as opposed to the character being good.
This tier list is full of shit
@@myscabula i also think the opposite is true as well. "Im bad against x character so they're OP"
As well as potentially "Im not good with x so they're bad"
Its generally likely to let your own biases get in the way without knowing.
For me hunter's charge attack shouldn't destroy an airbag, but only let down them and Florian could still pick up them.
That would be absolutely ridiculous
@@pajonkmapper2481 no that would be overpowered I think they should just give him 3 instead of 2
HIIII YUU I REMEMBER WATCHING YOU WHEN BEFORE YOU GOT UR SCULPTOR S BADGE ❤❤❤ I HAVENT WATCHED U IN FOREVER IM GLAD TO SEE U POST STILL (I also remember staying up just for ur face reveal 😭)
Doctor at second last has me TWEAKIN BRO 😭😭😂
Agree with faro lady shes good with solo ranking
Please make video of best survivor in each maps!
That concept alone would have carried him so far that he could be the new composer (all about style and enjoyment, nothing about reliability).
from ALL the clips of willding you could have choosen you decided to do him dirty lmao
Everytime i meet TME they die so fast, they should be in team dependent or unreliable tbh :/
Composer also often kite better than her
am i gonna watch a two-hour video of someone calling all my mains except lily shit?? dumb question ofc i am
lmao-
This is me except I also just prefer playing weak characters so I take it as reassurance
as a First explorer in NA/Eu I dont think getting 2 pages is priority is more on giving the 50 page to someone has 50 cipher progress and then get the second page
ANTİQUARİAN AND FRIENDS GOT ME XDDDDDD
just picked up this game like 3 days ago and antiquarian stood out as cool to me i didnt realize she was that much better than other characters lol guess i got good luck
update im a naiad main now and if im a survivor ill go doctor or maybe cheerleader, sometimes play soul weaver too but mostly just naiad
Sorry for asking but can you also do a hunter tierlist if possible?
Yupp Ill try get it out next weekend, but if not it should be b4 season reset!
@@KuroshiroGaming do you think hell ember goes up a tier because of his new buff?
@@dureem123 Hell Ember is still pretty bad and only for skilled players because of hes chasing abilitys are so bad and unreliable unless in low ranks
Lmao i never play hunter i only play survivor
Can you make all survivor abilities explain with tips pls❤
THE THREE HOOD AND THE KONGFU WOMAN
tbh its way to survivor sided now especially flywheel its so broken bruh like every match i play as hunter everyone use it than tide.. and believed me when i say this as a hunter.. i pray they pick tide instead of flywheel all the way its just to broken... its like u used blink and counter it with flywheel my blood pressure is rising of flywheel
Gonna go buy roach so i have the full colletion of antis friends
my heart is broken as a comp and fire investigator main
Tme… tie guarantee… more like lose guarantee. (Sorry tme mains - I’m just speaking from exp in rank.
No you're right she's a trash kiter (i main tme)
@@sera48gI honestly don’t think she’s THAT bad for a kiter. Her tap-tap ability lets her see the hunter location at all times if they’re within heartbeat radius, so it’s really useful especially if the hunter mindgames with their red light
@@f.r.y5031 it's really depends on the situation and very contextual, using tme might tie guarantee if you don't get chased first since your decoding buff is insane even if your teamate doesn't kite long, there's still higher chances to tie compared using other characters, but it's better to not use her in higher rank since it's risky since hunters are smarter
florian is meta/used in tourneys now godbless
Niche doesnt mean all around good. Niche would technically mean the same thing as solo ranker or team comp depending
I don't get the niche rank. Doesn't niche mean limited or good in only very specific situations? Or is there something I don't get?
its meant to be good overall like very versatile mbmb
LETS GO EDGAR!🎉
Im not lg main, but I really hoping ne will buff lg soon. Decrease her cooldown pls. Or give a slow 35% for 2.5s after the pushback and if the hunter stuck w/objects they will get 1.5s stun instead of slow/pushback
Between reducing the cooldown or the slow/stun. I think she'll be niche tier
For the cooldown from 60s>40s is ok
Like, 60s for only pushback, no stun, or slow. Is really not worth it lmao. 60s with stun/slow is good, or just bring back her old size page and her antistun.
Yes she's very annoying and a GOOD support (not that annoying, but can make a decent distance). But solo containment is really really bad I would say. That's why she really need buff
Wilding is underrated, people just dunno how to use him
I remember watching a video of where this person talk about how composers is being pick more in tournament, is that true?
Last season you said Pupeteer Mathias was meta
nah man i'm sticking to luchino he's the best
Cowboy better harasser than forward especially after his nerf 😂 ridiculous
I'm confused about the ranking...
you talked about high and low niche but is it higher on the right and lower niche the more left on the tier or am i just over analyzing it?
yes higher on left lower on right!
In between is kinda like they the same
@@KuroshiroGaming so left side is not as good as the right side?
@@dureem123 in a sense yes, but the more right it is the worse the character imo but that shouldnt be an indicator
2:15:28 if you bring windows and use the best out of the speed boost from pallet and windows along with the full passive that means you basically have to kite for 18 seconds every 40 seconds 😭 (16.66 +3+3=22, 40-22=18)
Ento is kinda meta too
I have survivor anxiety 😓 ahhhhhhhh
I think the time stamp/chaoter thing for Fire Investigator isn't working
Hey there! Thanks for telling me I just fixed it!
Off- related question but where are you from? Your accent sounds a bit Australian but is still really peculiar with unique elements. I'm genuinely curious 😁
Im from Ireland
For me postman is a bit like Lucky Guy (but support version) in the sense that he tries to be a multi-use character but doesn't really excel at anything and becomes quite useless when being the one getting chased
yes youre right
but LG is like a high-risk *REALLY* high-reward while postman gives highr-eward with no risk
lg needs at least 1-2 succed chest to be good while postman has letters and dog that can be used again
1 secured item and an extra
yes lg can be good
im actually a LG main since the game came out and he can use items combined to be effective
i still thinks that he needs a buff because he struggles a bit too much in a meta where hunters can find him easily and wont let him get an easy advantage
@@hongtaowo Yeah, I guess one needs to be *lucky*

2:15:11 who is that with the tail? LOL Idc about what is good or bad, I see a tail I might play that character :D

Lunatic tier list
the way ur using the word niche is like the opposite of its definition is it not?
Niche on Google meant a good position in life so I thought that was the only meaning to Niche xD. I’ve changed it for the hunter tierlist coming out soon!
But Niche in this case means Versatile or Good Overall!
@@KuroshiroGaming ohh I see, thank you!
The word niche would literally mean that there are very few limited scenarios where a character is viable. Why would u name your second best tier that? It makes no sense
hummm i will think about one for next season, probably versatile sounds better?
Yeah that fits a lot better @KuroshiroGaming
Yeah I agree, to me niche is more like team comp dependant whereby they excel in very specific situations (team comp/specific hunter faced). I think a good replacement would be "current meta" but versatile works too! :)
Im surprised fiona haven't receive any nerfs yet but opera and ivy kept getting nerfs
Fiona is really map dependent, and outside of ET and Chinatown she can only excel in very specific areas, she’s also pretty communication dependent as well.
Her Ultra Long portal is really powerful but has an extremely long cd and can be removed easily, especially if the hunter has mobility to counter it.
merc over journalist🤔
memroy is meta
