The Cardiac Kids was the perfect moniker for the Braves teams of the mid '90s with their penchant for late inning antics and wins. And, Braves fans everywhere developed "Braves Fatigue Syndrome" and "tomahawk shoulder" from keeping the hours they did and cheering the chant.
Awesome comeback!! Wish I could find more Braves 90s stuff. I really wish the Pirates would go back to these uniforms!! They were sharp! The Mets and Indians uniforms of the 80s were sharp!!
I was always a die hard Yankee fan still am but,,, that braves team was so much fun to watch, g.maddux f.mcgriff d.justice t.glavine c.jones r.klesko tbs station had it going
We're too far out in the sticks to get cable, so early 95 was when we first got DirecTV on satellite. I watched almost every Braves game in 95. They had the starting rotation (Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Avery), the bullpen (McMichael, Pena, Wohlers, Stanton), the bomb squad (McGriff, Lopez, Justice, Klesko, Chipper), the guys who could hit for average and move runners over (Lemke, Grissom, Blauser), the bench (Mordecai, Smith, Devereux, O'Brien, Kelly). I don't think I went to bed early that whole summer except on off nights.
9:30 who else found it weird to see intentional walks like that?? I miss it when they were like that. So many crazy things could happen like pitcher make a wild pitch or leave it right down the middle for the batter.
So many players who had "Rock Star" moments only to slide back into obscurity. Just go to any Baseball Card Show- EVERY player has a "Moment Of Glory" to tell you about. Look at how many World Series games were won by players who may have only played 30-40 ML games that season! Just remember who sent the 1992 Braves to the World Series: Off the bench Francisco Cabrera! WHO?
The best Braves team of the 1990's, it's not this 95 team that won it all, it was the 1996 squad that lost to the Yanks in 6 the following year, after they took the first two in Queens going up 2-0 They got complacent, the Braves got cocky and the Bombers smoked em in the next 4 pulling off the then upset, which began the New York Yankees dynasty, who knows how differently things could have ended up in a historic type a way if the Braves ended up winning the World Series in 96,for both the New York Yankees & Atlanta Braves organizations
Shame that the bullpen sucked for most of their 14 division titles. Offense was t consistent either. Love Greg Maddox but winter of 93’ when braves signed Maddox instead of Barry bonds, who wanted to go to Atlanta, they solidified their dominant rotation , but what they really needed was a star hitter, like a Dale Murphy, to anchor that lineup. I think with that they win more than one title. Or if they sign both they win 7 titles. Ted it’s just money

Cameron Dawson yeah was nice when all those games were on the same channel everyday. Since I moved to the west coast I never get to see them play.
Cameron. I did the same thing with my father. Good times. They had a great team in the mid 90s.
It was great watching those Braves games on TBS when I was growing up with my DAD Man it was some good times
Crazy to think that because in Atlanta, TBS was free...TNT, Cartoon Network, and any other Turner channel was on cable
My dad and I loved watching chipper,Maddox, glavine, smoltz and even rocker
We became Braves fans because of TBS and games like this
Yes sir
