    I agree on the cards! I especially don't love that there's just one of activities that I might want to put in multiple routines (like brushing teeth, washing hands, going potty).

    Great review. I also did not like the routine cards, and in fact, have no idea where they have run off too. My son, however, love love loves the sink. He is a short guy and even with our learning tower, not able to reach the kitchen sink. Also, I like the Eco side of not waisting water, considering my son will play with it for hours if we let him. He also has been able to grasp lots of pouring techniques, learning when items are too full they will overflow.

    Your Lovevery reviews are awesome!
    I've been waiting to see if the Toddler boxes click with a child. Sounds like the sink makes more cleaning work for Mom!
    I appreciate hearing your disappointments, good to know there is room for improvement!

      Awe thank you!! Yeah I think if they make changes to this kit it will be more positively perceived than the 1-2 year old kit changes (at least I hope!). Again, given the cost of dupes I'm not mad about the current offerings, but I hope future subscribers get even better items!

    I just set up the play sink for my son on our kitchen counter yesterday (just turned 25 mos)…he stood at his helper tower for 45 minutes totally focused on the sink. He begged me to move it to his weaning table so he could sit and continue playing, and was so disappointed when I had to decline because it was bedtime.
    Like your daughter he’s had plenty of opportunity to participate in practical life activities involving the sink (in kitchen and bathroom) + water play while swimming and at his water/sand table+ Montessori water pouring activities. But he still really loved that sink!
    Things he did with the sink:
    -filled up one cup then poured it into the other cup over and over again
    -practiced vocabulary/using two word phrases (he has a speech delay and is in speech therapy) “one, two” “pour water” “cup full” “wet elbow” “more water”
    -explored turning the faucet on and off
    -Squeezing water from the sponge (I cut a tiny one for him to play with)
    I would think the sink was redundant given all his other water play opportunities but he absolutely loves it and engages with it in different ways.
    Also we are in a severe drought where we live so can’t allow him to play with running water. The play sink uses such little water, and when we’re done it goes to the plants.
    I hope you try setting it up for your daughter, she might end up loving it too.
    Also I love your idea w/the flowers/cut paper towel rolls, will definitely borrow! 💐 thanks ❤️

      I find your comment so helpful! I am also deeply concern for water waste, so we're really looking forward to have the sink! Can I ask, is it still functioning properly after all this time? Did you ever have any issues with the batteries or the pump? I read these often show problems in other sinks (non lovevery)...

    • @bassfayce7740
      @bassfayce7740 2 года назад

      @@sandrabustelo1084 sink is still going strong! I only replaced the batteries for the first time last month, although my son didn’t play with the item every day, since I would rotate it in and out for a few days each month to keep it fresh and fun. No issues at all with the pump, it’s a very well made plaything. I hope your little enjoys! 🙂

    With you about the play sink. Fantastic concept. But we made a functioning sink, with a plug and an actual drain on the IKEA kitchen and my child isn’t even 2 yet. I guess the difference is, we use it to wash her hands after meals and it’s not recycled water for that reason (we can easily recycle it though. If we want her to play with it we’d just point both the drain and the pump towards the same reservoir! So I’m not sure what we’d do with the play sink. Maybe she’d appreciate having a sink upstairs? 😂 that said I think we might cannibalize the drying rack it comes with for her little kitchen.

    Nice balanced review - especially with the cue cards - thank you - personally I've find that Lovevery is good value for money (less quantity but more quality)

    I said the same thing when I saw the routine cards. I’d like a pouch for them
    I think I’ll be buying one
    I knew my former daycare kids would just run over the top of them and disorganize them and it would defeat the point of them.

    Hey! I love your videos! You should try the little feminist book club subscription box!! Its only 22 dollars a month, they send you 2-3 books that fit your child’s age range and aim to diversify your child’s bookshelf which i think is an amazing goal! Even if you don’t plan on keeping up with the subscription, 22$ is not much to add a couple new books to your child’s library!! If you try it, definitely do a review on it to spread the word! My 1 year old daughter and also my 3 year old niece receive the box every month and both love it!

    • @marysmith3336

      Actually since your daughter is in the 2-4 age range you’d most likely get 1 picture book or occasionally 2 board books.. and they also give you an activity and discussion cards (both having to do with the book) Definitely worth checking out the website to see if its something you’re interested in!!

    I know this is an older video but I follow your channel and love it. My son is younger than your daughter so I’m just now looking at reviews of the lovevery kits. What age did you get this one for your daughter? My son is 23 months and up until the box before this one the boxes were pretty much right on his development level. But for the 22, 23 and 24 month he mastered everything in a day and I think he would have benefited from it a few months earlier. I feel like this kit is the same way. I know you mentioned in one of your videos about getting some of the boxes early so just trying to get another opinion before ordering it. Thanks so much!!!!

    • @confidentlymom

      Awe thank you! I generally start introducing them 6 months earlier. I don't push them on the child, I just set it out and play with it myself.
      I think this one can definitely be introduced earlier! You just want to keep an eye out for any moments of them getting frustrated/giving up which can make them not want to try new things and have you do everything, in that case definitely put something away for later.
      With that said, I think once kids get past 18 months most of the items can be introduced whenever as it seems more based on interests as they build a skill anyway.

    • @leahcadek9617
      @leahcadek9617 2 года назад

      @@confidentlymom thanks you so much. That has been my observation that after the 18 month most of the activities are less about a skill to master. I appreciate your response and I’m glad I looked at your video because he shows a huge interest in the Amazon dupe of the sink at his Montessori school and I was tempted to buy it. Now I think I’ll just order the kit early.

    Lol my toddler didn’t get a play sink until 3 but she loves it so much! So does my 9 month old, especially for outside water play. Thanks for some Amazon ideas, I’m not sure if we can afford lovevery as I’d rather give my daughter swimming lessons and find equivalent type toys thrifted.

    • @confidentlymom
      @confidentlymom  3 года назад

      Of course! You can DIY some of their items! like the coin drop in this kit you could get some circle stickers from the dollar store, then just use match crayons or markers to draw different circle patterns and have them stick the stickers in accordingly! And especially with this play kit and the next one (enthusiast), the best items definitely have some affordable alternatives!
      I've heard of people DIYing an object permanence box for their 9 month olds using old amazon boxes too!

      Really? Because the 8 month babies I’ve worked with I don’t do water play with. I don’t find it safe unless they’re at an instructed swim lesson. And it seemed young to me to play pretend
