    My beautiful darling..
I remember in secondary school how we used to be the best in English & Government.
How we were classmates for years.
How we both bear the same name.
How we lived in the same place growing up.
How we both got married to level headed men in the same sector..
How we both worked in the bank.
How marriage made us move from Lagos to Port-harcourt .
How we started RUclips same month together.
And how we have both relocated same year!😊
    God is good.
I always say that GRACE lies in a person not necessarily a place.
The grace you carry goes with you!
So be ANXIOUS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING darling! & embrace this blessing with POSITIVITY, JOY and SMILES confident that your life & destiny is crafted by God who loves u so much!
    No Shaking at all!
    All the very best❤

UK is a good place and from what I can see, your husband has a top notch job. Any company paying for your relocation na better company I beg so that shows the pay is definitely top notch! Regarding Naija food. Ahn-ahn, nor worry na. If not that I’m certain you’re already in the UK, I for tell you to make sure you pack the essentials like ha
Gari, stock fish, crayfish, dried fish, Naija maggi, tons of local spices, egusi, etc. I have three freezers in my garage! One is filled with all of the above cause some of those items are smelly., so I keep them separate. In short I never run out! After one week of eating oyinbo food, you will realize you be Naija girl! The craving will be real. The good news is the UK seems to have plenty shops where they sell Naija food items.

Welcome to the UK, my dear. I'm in Dartford, Kent. It's easier to tell people "London" because that's all they know. Though London is literally 5 mins away from me, so I'm within my rights 😂😂😂.
Norwich is about 2 hours away from London. I don't know if they have large African stores. However, if you run out and need to do a big shop, we have ADES Cash & Carry branches in Thamesmead and Woolwich, both in London. You'll get all the food stuff you need, down to coolers, pots, meat, chicken, fish etc.
Come down maybe once a month or do a big shop, then you won't need to come down that often. But carry as much as you can of your food things, spices etc. You can store them well here. They can be a bit expensive to buy here, but you'll still see them so do not worry.
Ades also sell golden morn etc. So you'll find those here, but bring as much as you can carry or are allowed.
Clothes - bring as much as you can carry, even the traditional ones. If you're into groups, best believe that you'll find Igbo groups here. Can't wait to see you at the annual IFAC (Igbo festival of arts and culture) if that's your thing. My mum always makes me go, but it's still enjoyable. My kids and I dress in my mum's groups uniform.
Also, sewing native in this country is EXPENSIVE! Over 100 pounds they charge, so be aware and get yours done back home and bring with you. My mother has someone in Lagos who sews it for her and ships them here via courier, so that's another option.
If you want more info, I know I'll avail myself to answer any questions, and I know my fellow UK residents will lend a hand as well.
All the best with the move, remain blessed, always and forever ♥️

@@loveblaize4297 Every western country encourages complete schooling education and don't allow for skipping. In Nigeria alot of kids begin school early plus they skip primary 6 and sometimes primary 5&6, high school junior year 3 and senior year 3 as well. Although skipping results to underdevelopment in tertiary institutions but Nigeria don't care.

Happy for you and your family Adaeze! Wishing you all the best as you make this significant transition. Thanks so much for sharing with us. This is so helpful and not just for people who are relocating or in diaspora, but even generally for people who are having to deal with major transitions in life and being able to navigate all the parts; the anxiety, the acceptance, the 'just-getting- on-with-it', the 'taking-it-one- step-at-a-time" 😂. God bless you. 🙏🏾

Congratulations, aww, you coming to the neck of my woods. Norwich is nice and quiet, it’s the county of Suffolk. Still commutable London. You’ll settle ok. Bring enough Naija food, yes bring your clothes ( naive wear too) plenty.
