Kdots body of work shows his skill in multiple aspect of rapping while kanyes is more about the production songwriting and creativity

People underrate how many fun, memorable, quotable, iconic lines Kanye has when doing these match ups. It's so common nowadays to dunk on Kanye's rapping skills, but then why does everyone remember so many Kanye lyrics?
Being iconic doesn't equate to skill. Ed Sheeran has a bunch of lyrics people remember, so does Mariah Carey, so does Drake. No one is putting any of those three in a top lyricists of all time list. Kanye's lyrics are great for his style, but if we're talking pure technical skill, then he's not the best
@@user295. But we're not talking pure technical skill, we're talking best rapper. It gets into a whole argument about what's the point of rapping. Kanye is certainly able to affect and move people through his lyrics, and he doesn't require the streaming numbers that Ed Sheeran or Drake have to make an impact. There's a difference between memorable and repeated to the point everyone remembers it.

Doggystyle one of my favorite albums but Snoop shouldnt have even made it past LL Cool J. At least he had multiple great albums, which Snoop didn't. Mama Said Knock You Out and Radio are two of the most influential albums in hip hop history too

Unless the topic is specifically "rapping skill", Kanye will always get my vote. Nothing is more impressive than being the total package. Kanye is is one of the greatest producers ever, a damn good lyricist and songwriter at his peak, has one of the best discographies of any artist in any genre, he has amazing live shows, countless hit songs, and is one of the most influential artists of this generation.
The mans Personnal life aside, not a lot of artists(let alone rappers) can attest to having basically 6 albums(CD, LR, Graduation, 808s, MBDTF and KSG) that are 10/10 classics.

I was going to say that Ye’s first 5 albums are considered masterpieces/classics, which is something that not many artists can say.
