Like most seven seat SUVs, it feels bumpier out in the third row on the move. The lack of aircon isn't a terrible deal breaker, but the weather was generally cloudy when we drove it, so on really hot days it may get uncomfortable, but that's just our guess.
Road noise is a deal-breaker.. even if it's an entry level Merc they should still do a good job of sound insulation. After all their bigger SUVs are all pretty well insulated.
@@CarBuyerComSg It is not popular here yet. There are more GLA and GLC to be seen on the roads in Bangkok. Mercedes-Benz Thailand did not market the GLB as well as they should have. When it was first introduced in Q3 of 2020, Mercedes Benz Thailand only imported around 100+ units. So, it was sold out by December 2020 due to low supply. So, if anyone else who want to order one of this will have to wait 6 months until July 2021.
Nice review. Looks like a GLC with additional seats. But what a waste.. no aircon in the rear? Not even the 2nd row?? Moreover, never been a fan of a DCT transmission. Better off with a GLC.
Unfortunately C&C robs away some of the essential items like central row AC, full parktronic, etc. for the around the same price, PI offers the full spec GLB200 AMG premium plus version with all the bells and whistles. So it might be worth to take a look for those prospective buyer.

Crv 2015 quite boxy at the back also
You can turn off the MBUX assistant and make it to where you just use the button on the steering wheel. Much nicer and don't have to yell at her.
Very useful tip, thanks James. Could never find the right menu to shut it off in the system itself!
More importantly, how does it feels in the 3rd row when the car is in motion? Aircon, bump etc

Why not GLB250? It has 2.0L 4WD
GLB200 PI one better with 2nd row ac vent.
Actually there’s also the Land Rover Disco Sport that’s slightly dearer but you get 2.0L turbocharged engine with AWD 😍
That's true, shamefully we forgot about the Land Rover! Although the Disco Sport is quite a bit more expensive at S$220k with COE upwards.

Most luxury cars below a certain price actually aren't particularly refined - eg this one!
Polar White?
did you say 135045 USD for GLB200 in Singapore?
At current exchange rates, yes, SGD180k = USD136k. Horrific, ain't it? :D
This car cost around SGD 121k in Thailand with 6 months wait period.
Woah, it's that popular? And we thought people love them here in Singapore...

In Brunei cost below 75K
Think VW Touran has better space for 7 to seat comfortably even for long journeys.
They're about equal on space. At this size, seven-seaters aren't really comfy in the third row, you need something like a Sharan or Odyssey for that
Good review. 👍 For that 3 point star, 7 seater set up, it’s ok to buy for that price.
Thanks Happiness for the uh, happiness :D Yep, there's no doubt the GLB is going to be a popular choice in Singapore!

The GLC is more refined and nicer to drive for sure, but for a lot of people the main draw is seven seats
With the whole 7 seater fill up with passengers does the 1.3L able to perform??
We tested it with five people (couldn't find seven, and too afraid to) and it felt decent. Luckily it's a turbo so torque isn't a huge issue.
How will 1.3 litre engine on GLB 200 will do with full load and driving up a hill?
Hmm...the torque is not bad from the 1.3. It'll do the job, but you can realistically expect it to struggle a little.

We heard that the parallel import has more equipment, but as usual we've only tested the authorised dealer edition here
i cannot find your review on the mazda CX-8

Love to hear Tiguan fans chime in, underrated car for sure
Do you experienced citroen c5 Aircross. How is it to ride?.

Are they using the shitty 1.3 litre engine from Peugeot for this car?
1.33 turbo co-developed with Renault. Not the smoothest engine, but it does the job
Renault Dacia Duster engine in the 3 pointed star brand? who are you fooling Mercedes? Horrific price for this cheap engine.
