"For 3½ long hours on Jan. 29, the cellphone in 6-year-old Hind Rajab’s hands was the closest thing she had to a lifeline. Alone in the back seat of a car outside a Gaza City gas station, she was drifting in and out of consciousness, surrounded by bodies, as she told emergency dispatchers that Israeli tanks were rumbling closer.
From the operations room of the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), roughly 50 miles away in the city of Ramallah, the team on duty had done their best to save the child. Paramedics were on their way, the dispatchers kept telling her: Hold on."

People will find many different ways to tell you why you shouldn't care or who is really to blame or how this is war or blah, blah, blah. If someone is human this should be upsetting on a human level, regardless of politics or the realities of war.
I don't want to ever become so desensitized, that hearing a small child calling in fear for their life before being killed, doesn't bother me.
So many little girls and little boys suffered the same and have been murdered in front of our eyes.

25,000 German civilians were killed by the Allies just air bombing Germany, and 200.000 killed by the atomic bomb in Japan. Hamas started a war, they thought they could get away with, and now are playing victims. If you are the aggressor in a war, don't act like you didn't know there were going to be some civilian deaths.
