This is similar to my build, but I went for more of a "Force Multiplier" build. Like you I maxed out critical hit very early. My main gun was the EBR Enforcer which allowed me to completely ignore the Aim stat. And I didn't even add any points into handling until very late game because I never really felt like reloading took too long until I tried using the miniguns. But by that point I was also quick on the way to getting the EBR Enforcer which already has an insanely fast .6 second reload which made handling a virtually pointless stat to invest in.
For Armor, I went heavy as I never felt like it restricted my movement enough to worry about it and I never really had to use cover as a result. I do recommend investing points in evade, but for me, I didn't need to until considerably later game. Most of the game (world map), 0 points in evade (ie 2 jumps before delay) was usually more than enough for most situations.
The stats I invested heavily in were "Critical Hit Rate", "Vital Signs", "Body Battery" and "Tactical Sense" (although tactical sense was later down the line). The last stat I maxed out was "Evade" and that was only after I maxed out tactical sense. I was min/maxing quite a bit, but it proved really effective.
For my Tactical I used the Turret. For my Augment Modules, I used the Vitasign Booster and the Tactical Charge. For my Augments, I used "Overclock" and "Spiderbots".
This is where the force multiplier came in. I never need to use cover. From the start of the fight, I fire and easily hit my targets for great damage with the EBR Enforcer. With overclock boosting my stats and (if not hit for 3 seconds) quickly replenishing my health in a fight, I no longer need to worry about health drops. As long as I keep moving and dodging, I can soak up a ton of damage and heal it back up extremely quickly. If I get swarmed or get an extremely tough enemy, I drop Spiderbots and watch everybody melt. With a 40 Cybernetics stat very few enemies can tank a full Spiderbot drop. But also between my high tactical sense and tactical charge, EBR damage and Spiderbots, I can drop turrets like crazy. Often in the biggest fights I can drop as many as 3-5 turrets on the field before the first one times out. That's a ton of firepower on the field that easily renders the pocket mech virtually pointless. And because those turrets distract enemies really easily, that's enemy firepower that's not on me giving Overclock even more opportunities to replenish my health.
By the time I was using this build, I virtually cake walked the end of the game. It was only the final boss "Swarm" fight that pushed me to my limit, but even that I completed successfully on the first try. Even when they would get a lucky few hits tanking my health down, I never really feel worried because I know it'll replenish in no time if I just keep dropping turrets and keep evading. And even with Spiderbots having a fairly long cooldown, it was often enough to give me exactly what I needed when I needed it. I even found the Spiderbots far more useful than any of the "Mono" bot augments.
This build has ended up being so effective at keeping me alive while still being able to lay down a lot of firepower, I've actually been considering ditching the Vitasign booster module altogether to experiment with a different one, because I just don't feel like I really need it anymore. Maybe I'll try out that zigzag dash module or something.
Give it a try and see what you think. Maybe you'll like it.

Little tip: At 3:35 - That guy you're shooting at that wont take damage because of that drone. You can hack that thing. So instead of worrying about trying to shoot it, just hack it and it will stop buffing that enemy allowing you to kill him really easily. There's even an achievement for it. I found this by accident in a fight when I accidentally hit the hack button next to him. From then on, I didn't have to worry about shooting that little drone in order to take that enemy out.

EBR Enforcer is also my favorite gun and I also have max crit. Good choice there. However, I'm not a fan of the 20 points in weapon handling and tactical sense. The weapon already reloads super fast and grenades just suck against high level enemies. Might as well put more points in biometrics and rely less on cover. Augments of choice are Hyper Focus/Propulsion Leap and Spiderbots.

I found a place in the main missions to farm Basic and Advanced... superior components are limited and I've only found 2 so far. In the mission Reboot the AGI at the end just prior to rebooting the AGI and facing all those guards there was a spider robot. When you kill it either one basic and one advanced weapon component would drop, or two advanced ones would drop sometimes. After killing it I would quit to the main menu, and resume my game, the spider robot respawns and you can rinse and repeat to get as many of the basic and advanced components as you'd like. The whole process takes just a little over 1 minute... so in under 12 minutes you can farm 10 of each, basic and advanced components. I did this for a little over an hour tonight to get over 60 of each. It should help let me upgrade more of the guns to at least MK8 so I can see which ones I like the best.

press the same way on both sticks. master this, changing directions quickly. also you want to learn to shoot and move backwards. this game has cover as well though, cover will trivialise a lot of situations, and you can actually build yourself so tanky you can just stand out in the open, too. honestly cover is going to save you more than anything in this game though. it's very easy to get shot, even with the javelin dodge thingy.
I tend to only kill the stunties in the open as you have to, and the mele, ranged stragglers etc or if I can flank someone.
I do a lot of fighting from cover, when facing head on a lot of ranged enemies.
switching up the gameplay though is key in this game as you have to keep adapting the gameplay styles.

I wanna see this build survive the last couple encounters in the game lol

      why wouldn't it, low health?

    • @Twentyand1
      @Twentyand1 3 года назад +1

@@D00M3R-SK8 Yeah, low health AND low energy for abilities. If you arent gonna take health I think youll definitely want some extra energy. The last couple encounters in the game are a massive spike in difficulty and either make or break whatever build you're running and I see this one being pretty tough on survivability.

I ended up respec'ing anyway and putting points in health, and I avoided the grenade one as I never remember to use my nades anyway.
I just have dodge at 8 and health at 15 currently.
I have 5 points at the minute as well, but not sure whether to max health or use it for body battery.

It's a good vid except for recommending the bots especially the ranger because you said at higher levels it does a ton of damage and in the video it never did any damage at all it was only a distraction

Is the game even long enough to worry about a build?, Its looked like a simple story based game.

Im level 25. Regardless of length of the game time wise, youre gonna be around level 20 by the time you get to where i am. I have not beaten the game yet, but im doing every side quest too.
Being that high of a level means youre gonna develop a build during that time.

It's definitely not a simple story based game, but it isn't like 50hrs either pluss there will be more content apparently

Informative video but the narrator speak really fast with his monotonous tone makes this video (and all from him) very unpleasant to watch.

You should rename this the most boring build in the game. I hate gears of war duck and cover just makes me cringe I’d much rather just vault around like a demon hunter in Diablo 3
