I believe Gunslinger hasn’t had too many issues with the ragdolls lately. In all honesty, I think the pro behind it is just taking care of personal things. I’m still interested to see how things play out if engineer gamer comes back.
Gunslinger has perfected the style honestly. The other creators animate too smoothly and the quality is too high. Gunslinger is the perfect pretend amateur gmod youtuber. There is a sense of uncanny unlike the other creators.
Pioneered the sub-genre to be exact. Classic GM Videos was the true pioneer even if their horror came from the shadow figure trope (although it wasn't a trope when Classic GM started)

One little detail to that soldier walker clip I don’t see many people talk about is right at the end of the clip. Right when he pulls into frame, he stops on the railroad crossing as the lights nexts the gates start flashing, or maybe end flashing. I think he was trying to get an easy way out from seeing his mates get butchered and beaten, of course he ironically missed that train.
Also I did think that “LAST ONE ALIVE, LOCK THE DOOR” was a warning to anyone out there. It might have meant something like “Anyone out there, lock your doors and hide” or something along those lines.
Gunslingerpro strikes me as a person who doesn’t upload much during the year, and views his channel as a fun little hobby. When he does upload though, it’ll be a banger.
I guess it's because Gunslinger doesn't want the viewers to know the ragdolls are sentient, and heavy speaking an moving freely must've angered him because that would expose his mistreatment of the ragdolls.
Even with the lack of videos, I still prefer Gunslinger over badwater. Both are good but the subtlety and atmosphere of Gunslinger is better horror to me
I feel that while the genre has grown substantially with new content creators that can provide engaging horror content, none have really achieved the sense of uncanniness and dread that I felt while watching gunslinger's videos. I might be biased, but I genuinely believe that gunslinger set the standard for this genre, and it would be a shame if we never got to see them return to their work.
I'm assuming two things about Gunslingerpro2009, specifically the sled video: 1. He might be trying to tell some kind of story of a younger kid who gets bullied and tries venting out his frustrations about it in Garry's Mod, hence the violent responses to otherwise friendly gestures, compliments, etc. Him killing the Heavy ragdoll is likely the end result of some kind of emotional outburst, or not understanding affection. 2. It could be someone in the pre-stages of becoming a serial killer. Torturing dolls (Rag dolls, in this case) is sometimes considered a factor that someone might become a serial killer in the future, and the violent response to Heavy's compliment is meant to be some kind of sign of growing sadism, like what was mentioned. He sees that the ragdolls he torments are alive, but doesn't see an issue in continuing with what he's doing.
I personally find the first one more interesting,i doubt someone who's becoming a serial killer would waste his time playing GMOD in the first place. Although i wonder if Gunslinger does actually have no friends at least online since in the sled build video he doesn't seem to have any real friends to play with so he might be using the ragdolls as his twisted replacement of "friends".

I think we're all just forgetting that, you know, people just get burnt out of projects? I love this guy, I love his work, but as an artist, there is a point where it doesn't matter how many and how much they love your stuff, because if it's not fun to do, than you just don't want to do it. It's also easier to just fade away then to say goodbye. So I really hope he's doing well outside of this project, and I also hope this isn't the only thing he's remembered for.
He uploads like once a year so I think it's just how he makes his videos, I doubt it's burnout or anything more then him just having a hobby he comes back to every once in a while

I remember someone pointing this out on the sled video. The red Engineer can be seen standing by the sled when Gunslinger is showing it off. Then when he gets on and looks back, the Engineer disappears, which the player doesn’t seem to mind. So either the player didn’t notice or the Engineer seems to be the only class that is capable of moving around without punishment. This would make sense because the Engineer is probably GunslingerPro2009’s favorite class
I sure hope he hasn’t stopped posting because he thinks there is an oversaturation. If he does think that, and if he somehow reads this, I want him to know that he by far makes the best Gmod ARGs out there (yes, even over Badwater in my opinion). The feeling of his videos are just so casually chilling. It’s not overly violent; just makes you feel a sense of tremendous dread. I hope he hasn’t given up on posting because he thinks there are too many creators now, because I don’t think anybody else can mimic their videos to be quite as chilling as him. You rock, Gunslinger.

Personally, I think the creator behind Gunslingerpro2009 might just be dealing with college as, from experience, it can take up a lot of your time so much so that you aren't able to fully zero in on whatever passion projects you may have. I have faith that once this fall semester is over (which should be next week for me), then there's a chance that Gunslingerpro2009 may return. Edit: To add onto this, I think it's wrong to believe that RUclips content creators are always working on RUclips videos. I too consider myself a creator, even though uploads only come every several months. To me, making videos is more of just a fun hobby, and so having to always push out content isn't a priority to me, and my viewers can wait. Considering how there was like a 3-5 year gap between his first upload and his third upload, I think it's safe to assume that Gunslingerpro2009 most likely shares the same sentiments.

I think the sniper is the same sniper in "Sniper is sentring" and "sniper is book" 1. In "Sniper is sentring" the head is missing 2. We only see the head of the sniper
Its also important to note that gunslingerpro's videos pretty much inspired the new main genre of gmod args. The main trope used to be "mysterious figure and black room on construct" but now, the gmod arg meta has changed to "sentient ragdolls", and thats what EVERYONE is doing now. In combination with bad water using his idea and becoming more successful, I can completely see everyone pigging backing off your idea and jumping on the band wagon can be demoralizing and make you feel ripped off in a way. Badwater made a much more digestable, normie friendly, linear story with frequent uploads that got way more popular, and after badwater, a bajillion channels popping up using the sentient ragdoll trope. Seeing your own idea and unique concept that youve had for years at this point, getting dumbed down and getting copied over and over, simply because its the newest trend, can be very mood killing. Im personally tired of the sentient ragdoll trope, and gmod args in general, as they are becoming cookie cutter, dime a dozen, and the initial magic lost. Hell, what made gunslinger's videos special and unique has pretty much died since badwater came about. Not to shit on badwater, as his shit clearly has effort put into it, and alot of love, but I would be lieing if I said badwater didnt (accidentally) turn the "sentient ragdolls" trope into a trope. All of the sentient ragdoll args to come after badwater are purely leaches riding on badwater's (and to a lesser extent gunslinger's) success. Sooner or later, someone will come with a new, innovative, unique idea for gmod args, and then they will get ripped off, copied over and over, and become the new gmod arg meta

I think the "Engineer is credit to team" is actually heavy stating that the player (gunslingerpro2009) had left the Engineer behind. As seen here 2:38. It is seen that there is an Engineer next to the sled. But here 2:43 the player turns around realizes the Engi is gone. And looks at the Heavy implying he knows that Heavy is going to be upset about it. When his speculation is correct he takes out his anger on the poor Heavy. Earlier it is also seen that another sled is headed down the hill and the player is seemingly shocked but i dont know what to say about that.
2:54 If you notice Heavy's Minigun, it's using the c_models version, the c_models system was never added until at least 2011 while the video looks like it was uploaded in 2009.
I mean, plenty of projects have had long breaks or take a long time between uploads to make sure everything is right, (Sword Art Online Abridged comes to mind) or to deal with life problems, etc. Hell, Lasagna Cat had a break of 9 years between arcs. I personally believe it's nothing to be worried about, I'm sure that if the project were to be cancelled, we'd have known by now.

I'm not sure if anyone else has said this, but when Gunslingerpro's sled almost flips for the first time there is a cut before he can be seen going down the same section again, but this time the sled that was keeping up with his is seen torn apart and not moving after his sled recovers from almost flipping the second time
Also notice that in the walker tutorial gun is pointing a remover tool at the soldier as he sends his message which makes me think that the soldier is being forced to walk like that , he even stops before he nods no , so he's being forced as well
Hello Richter overtime.I know you may not want to do it,but i have a suggestion for a new arg video.the channel is called superscout 1139.it has a ton of uploads,though the first video seems way too similar to what gunslinger was setting up in one of his videos.i just think its a bit interesting.
Gunslinger usually has massive gaps between uploads, it keeps viewers waiting in anticipation. It wouldn't surprise me if we have to wait a long while before we see anything new from the channel
My theory is all ragdolls can move freely, soldier didn't run from Gunslinger because he was stuck to the ragdoll walker. Sure he could try to wheel himself away but the player has both a physgun and control over the ragdoll walker so it is a pointless attempt.

I was not prepared to see this video again in an ARG video.
Great video overall, that one moment just got a chuckle out of me.
Personally, I think the creator behind Gunslingerpro2009 might just be dealing with college as, from experience, it can take up a lot of your time so much so that you aren't able to fully zero in on whatever passion projects you may have. I have faith that once this fall semester is over (which should be next week for me), then there's a chance that Gunslingerpro2009 may return.
Edit: To add onto this, I think it's wrong to believe that RUclips content creators are always working on RUclips videos. I too consider myself a creator, even though uploads only come every several months. To me, making videos is more of just a fun hobby, and so having to always push out content isn't a priority to me, and my viewers can wait. Considering how there was like a 3-5 year gap between his first upload and his third upload, I think it's safe to assume that Gunslingerpro2009 most likely shares the same sentiments.
Clearly, he redirected his attention to his secondary channel, Badwater, after receiving good feedback.

This might be a bit of a stretch, but what if gunslinger is scared of the rag-dolls, and they’re scared of him sense he has god like powers, and gunslinger figured out that they are more scared of him then he is to them, and that’s why he gets mad when the heavy tries to communicate with him, because gunslinger feels unsettled, and gunslinger uses the fear of the rag dolls to create content, because he can’t get rid of the rag dolls, because no matter what rag doll he spawns, they are always alive

Its also important to note that gunslingerpro's videos pretty much inspired the new main genre of gmod args. The main trope used to be "mysterious figure and black room on construct" but now, the gmod arg meta has changed to "sentient ragdolls", and thats what EVERYONE is doing now. In combination with bad water using his idea and becoming more successful, I can completely see everyone pigging backing off your idea and jumping on the band wagon can be demoralizing and make you feel ripped off in a way. Badwater made a much more digestable, normie friendly, linear story with frequent uploads that got way more popular, and after badwater, a bajillion channels popping up using the sentient ragdoll trope. Seeing your own idea and unique concept that youve had for years at this point, getting dumbed down and getting copied over and over, simply because its the newest trend, can be very mood killing.
Im personally tired of the sentient ragdoll trope, and gmod args in general, as they are becoming cookie cutter, dime a dozen, and the initial magic lost. Hell, what made gunslinger's videos special and unique has pretty much died since badwater came about. Not to shit on badwater, as his shit clearly has effort put into it, and alot of love, but I would be lieing if I said badwater didnt (accidentally) turn the "sentient ragdolls" trope into a trope. All of the sentient ragdoll args to come after badwater are purely leaches riding on badwater's (and to a lesser extent gunslinger's) success. Sooner or later, someone will come with a new, innovative, unique idea for gmod args, and then they will get ripped off, copied over and over, and become the new gmod arg meta
...and there is nothing we can do about it.

@@edwinve4112 That kinda reinforces my point of anything. Gunslinger and classic gm videos both had unique concepts, uninfluenced by eachother, and got popular on their own for their uniqueness. Then, a million other args popped up to capitalize on the trend.

I think the "Engineer is credit to team" is actually heavy stating that the player (gunslingerpro2009) had left the Engineer behind. As seen here 2:38. It is seen that there is an Engineer next to the sled. But here 2:43 the player turns around realizes the Engi is gone. And looks at the Heavy implying he knows that Heavy is going to be upset about it. When his speculation is correct he takes out his anger on the poor Heavy.
Earlier it is also seen that another sled is headed down the hill and the player is seemingly shocked but i dont know what to say about that.

2:54 If you notice Heavy's Minigun, it's using the c_models version, the c_models system was never added until at least 2011 while the video looks like it was uploaded in 2009.
I mean, plenty of projects have had long breaks or take a long time between uploads to make sure everything is right, (Sword Art Online Abridged comes to mind) or to deal with life problems, etc. Hell, Lasagna Cat had a break of 9 years between arcs. I personally believe it's nothing to be worried about, I'm sure that if the project were to be cancelled, we'd have known by now.
Who knows if he became one with his lore...
Personally, i always prefered Gunslinger over Badwater since its legues above badwater on eerieness i really hope the videos didnt stop because of badwater

I'm not sure if anyone else has said this, but when Gunslingerpro's sled almost flips for the first time there is a cut before he can be seen going down the same section again, but this time the sled that was keeping up with his is seen torn apart and not moving after his sled recovers from almost flipping the second time

Also notice that in the walker tutorial gun is pointing a remover tool at the soldier as he sends his message which makes me think that the soldier is being forced to walk like that , he even stops before he nods no , so he's being forced as well

Hello Richter overtime.I know you may not want to do it,but i have a suggestion for a new arg video.the channel is called superscout 1139.it has a ton of uploads,though the first video seems way too similar to what gunslinger was setting up in one of his videos.i just think its a bit interesting.
Gunslinger usually has massive gaps between uploads, it keeps viewers waiting in anticipation.
It wouldn't surprise me if we have to wait a long while before we see anything new from the channel
My theory is all ragdolls can move freely, soldier didn't run from Gunslinger because he was stuck to the ragdoll walker. Sure he could try to wheel himself away but the player has both a physgun and control over the ragdoll walker so it is a pointless attempt.
