I enjoy Kripp's RUclips videos more then his streams. The chat on stream is to out of control and spammy to actually hold a convo and watch at the same time. Plus, his videos provide more insight into cards.
I took your tip from a previous Tavern Brawl vid to use the brawl event to get dailies done. I have earned a lot of gold so thanks for that. Last week's was the 10 mana job, I struggled a bit with this at first, small minion decks do not work well with it. My usual hunter deck just didn't work. So I tried the previous week's strategy and picked Paladin, but I didn't have enough large minions available. In the end, I made some changes to Hunter, mainly by including the core hounds, a lot of large taunts and cards that create taunts. I did very well toward the end and my last 10 matches were all wins. This week, I thought it was more like the summoner's brawl than web spinners. If you go first, you can play a portal straight away. If you go 2nd, you have to wait a turn and the player that goes first can get 2 turns worth of cards onto the board before you get any on there. So I like to go first, but in saying that, I have won a lot of games from 2nd. I used the other classes for a bit to try and get dailies done, I seemed to have a lot of bad luck with Warrior and the quests took a while. After that though, I went back to hunter and started winning again. 40 odd wins in a few hours, really liking this brawl event. As with the summoner's challenge, you can still play the best possible turn for your cards every turn and lose, but the portals seems a bit more forgiving. Its also a lot more unpredictable which makes it a lot more fun. So far, I've enjoyed every event. I've always been able to find a way to win more than lose. I was annoyed to miss the first one, as Blizz fucked up my account and I couldn't play for 8 days starting from patch day, but from what I hear, it was the worst one so far. Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here!
MY first brawl this week i drew from portals in order: 1. 0\3 totem 2. wisp 3. lightwell 4. dragon egg 5. nat pagle 6. parrot AND besides that I drew a class spell from my deck. Moonfire and Claw...
I had the luckiest first match ever. So picture this, he gets the coin, turn 1 felguard from portal in play, turn 2 I get faceless manipulator from my portal, he only has 1 mana crystal so no portal for him XD, turn 3 I get troggzor the urinater, he plays another dead portal turn, turn 4 I play said troggzor, he has another portal turn, turn 5 I play all my portals in my hand (I get kel thuzaad and alekestraza) he plays an ancient of war in rooted form (5/10 with taunt) , the following turn I faceless manipulated the ancient and... he immediately conceded. I think troggzor is the best card you can get from a portal in that game mode since he summons another trogg each time unstable portal is used, whats your opinion?
I would like to see a brawl where the card text in your deck is shuffled around. so maybe DR.Boom's text winds up on alextraza, or perhaps deathwing's text winds up on a wisp. Seems like a wacky design!
At around 11 minutes in Kripp reminded me of how on turn one as a Druid I did coin, portal, innervate, portal, played a robo cub and got a 12-12 Vancleef. Needless to say I won that game.
Had one of the most ridiculous RNG earlier: First game against Mage (Muck Fages!) my turn 2 Portal gave me Dr. Boom which I coined out on turn 3. The mage conceded shortly after. Next game, same opponent, I was still giggling inside and was looking up card sounds on the web. (Hobgoblin actually says "Goblins and Gnomes" - the more you know) I was looking up Dr. Boom's sound, thinking "well another one would be fun"... You can already guess what happened. Turn 2 Portal --> Dr. Boom as wished --> coined out on turn 3. Opponent ragequit and I couldn't believe my luck ^^
Haven't seen comment about dis in 3 pages so.... 17:30 mage mistake kripp had 9, which means he'd get at most 1 portal, which at the time(considering # of portal kripp already have) better for the mage than whatever other kripp might pull(it might be a portal anyway) so giving him portal to burn the draw is good. In addition to that, there is free coins. So he should not have traded until he used all the portal he wants, and with coins that might be all of them. PS: edit: rogue can pull out a 134/134 vancleef turn 1 by using all cards in deck and then some trickery while observing field limitation(of 7 creatures), hand size and 7 skill/23 portal composition. I'm willing to guess it can get bigger but too lazy to figure out further.
There should be a tavern brawl called "no limit" you can have more that 10 mana crystals, More than 10 cards in your hand, more than 7 creatures on your side of the board, and other things.
This gives me a great idea! Stable Portal: 2 mana Mage common spell. Put an Antonidas in your hand and make him cost 0. Any flamewakers on the board are turned into Antonidaseses and any Unstable Portals in your hand are turned into Stable Portals. Your Hero becomes Antonidas, with 57 max HP, and a hero power that fills your hand with fireballs.

I was so confused with the title of this video since I was fully convinced I was in for 4 days of the Nef vs Rag, but I thought he was talking about times Nef got an unstable portal and a good drop with a 23 minute video explaining that? Then. I found I was trolled by blizzard and theres a supposed really cool brawl week. damn tavern brawl.
Most insane brawl I've had so far: Opponent gets Malganis. Opponent also gets Master of Disguise. Opponent stealths Malganis and does nothing, waiting for fatigue to kill me as I have literally no way of killing the opponents Malganis. On my final portal I get Ragnaros. Ragnaros whiffs, hitting face for zero damage. Opponent floods the board with everything he hasn't been playing in an effort to protect his Malganis. I manage to clear the board of everything but the Malganis and another stealth creature. Rag hits the not-Malganis. Opponent refills board. I clear it again. Rag FINALLY hits Malganis. Opponent concedes.
Tavern Brawl where all creatures AND single target spells have a 50% chance to hit any character including friendly targets sort of like misdirect and ogre passives combined.

This might be nothing, but I play on mobile (I know i'm a casual whatever), but I had just finished a ranked game of grim patron warrior, and i exited out of the app for a second to check my texts, and i went back to it and it was at the custom classes, but they were all blank, so were the default classes when i switched to them, and I couldn't press any buttons, but the most interesting thing was that at the top of the screen where it usually says "Play" it said "GLUE_TOURNAMENT." I have no idea what it means if anything but i just thought it was odd

I got a troggzor and trade prince gallywix from the portals. Played them both on turn 7 when he had no kill potential. Got some troggs and more usntable portals :)
dude some random warlock drew king crush and double power overwhelmed it for exact lethal. that was a preeeeeeetty unlucky game. oh yeah + that dude who had gahzrilla on board, played hellfire and demonwrath, clearing my taunts and smacking my face for 24.
I got double troggzor earthinatored in this brawl. I managed to kill first one because I had minions on the board and then he drops second one and I have a hand full of portals .
The only issue I had with this Tavern Brawl was the amount of time of games. Literally lost multiple 15-17 minute games. If that doesn't piss everybody off I don't know what does.

The first card I got from the portals in this brawl was Hemet, I destroyed a silverback Patriarch, Hemet Value Boys!
The only issue I had with this Tavern Brawl was the amount of time of games. Literally lost multiple 15-17 minute games. If that doesn't piss everybody off I don't know what does.
I think they should do a legendary only week because legendary only is pretty hard but if both players have legendary it might be really funny
