- I have produced well over one hundred videos covering some of the world's finest yachts, as well as asking the question whether it is better to rent or charter, and buy new or pre-owned.
This video takes a look at the best place to keep your yacht though, and specifically four of the worlds' most wonderful marina developments. From Port Vell in Barcelona to Limassol marina in Cyprus, Monaco, and the famous Porto Montenegro...her are some of the very best places to keep your yacht. Авто/Мото
It really pisses me off, I almost take it personally when people are so negative. I appreciate your content ALOT and I really hope they dont for one second discourage you. Your videos are nothing short of amazing. Keep it up!!!!
The bleeps of disappointment😂😂😂
It’s so refreshing to see people not take themselves so serious.
Your site brightens my day🙂
Impressive. Barcelona intrigues me. Thanks for the video. Well done, as usual.
Never thought of Barcelona! I went between there and Mallorca years ago but I love Spain.
Spain is on the “List” of dream places.... I intend to visit. Lucky you!
Hello David,
TY for this informative and luxury ladened video with GORGEOUS Scenery!!
Sounds like Barcelona is a MUST see very soon.
All the Very BEST from Vancouver, Canada!!
The very best solution must be to have one Yacht in each one..
Thank You for showing these beautiful places, to park these floating palaces..😁
Simply wow !
Absolutely wonderful!
I don't know why I am watching this. It's highly unlikely I will ever be rich enough to afford a yacht, but.. Great video! Thank you, David.
David great video again. You deal with all aspects of yachting. you are the best dealer and expert in yachting. I will definitely my yacht with you just to meet one day.
Great video's David as always. Thank you
Wonderful post. One can sense the joy and enthusiasm you express in your voice (ever so lightly:) during this video. And just know, its not work if you love what your doing:)
Thank you I'lI parky my yatch in Barcelona while I'm going to Saipan.
Another great video - thanks David
Always a pleasure watching your videos. I am interested in the American marinas, if they do end up getting back to you.
another brilliant video thank you
i don't get why people are so hateful... i'm pretty sure they can't even imagine themselves in a yacht. i feel like you provide great information that only someone who wants to own a yacht will find very relevant because those are the questions you find yourself asking the closer you get to the reality of actually buying one. otherwise the day dreamers tend to want to see the glossy stuff, no care for the information... and plus, gosh, you are literally giving this information for totally free on the viewer's end. this information, 10+ years back could have cost a looot of money! so in that regard, i'm personally thankful for the service. i've learnt a great deal and have built a certain amount of confidence to mingle with the futuristic minds of the world.
Another fantastic video
Beautiful marinas.
Quality content as always. Wish I could have this "problem" as where would the best harbour be for my expensive megayacht.
Great video! I would love to see more here about marinas (for the lifestyle inspiration), or do you recommend any other YT channels for that?
I'm a new subscriber here and this vlog was beyond my expectations, I think you did pretty good job sir!
can you do more vlogs for marinas outside the European
awesome impressions :)
Looking very nice.
Hello David,
Please visit Bodrum Yalıkavak Marina in south west of Turkey , maybe you may change your ranking. By the way great videos.
When I win the lotto this will be my problems
Wow great to know thank you
Hahaha.. Dont mind those negative comments David. All your videos are very informational. Oh, and, that sweaty guy walking the beach, he was pretty good looking.
Mr. Seal: It may be a bit off-topic but if you think it could be a good addition to your stellar content I would find perhaps a sort of mini-documentary on the workings of the kitchen and it's staff on a megayacht to be of great interest.
I recommend you looking up Super Yacht Captain. Its the channel of the Awol superyacht captain who vlogs the day to day life and procedures onboard a superyacht.
Thanks David, Barcelona it is then.
Definitely missed to feature Porto Mirabello in La Spezia, Italy which is a pretty wonderfull Port for Yacht berthing too.
Porto Montenegro is the best for me. Spent a whole week there over NYE. Better than anything Dubai can offer and having lived there for 6 years I can make a good comparison
Great video as always! What are your thoughts about Port Vauban in Antibes? Is it also amongst the best or has it some disadvantages compared to the 4 ports in your video?
Hi Thierry, Port Vauban is a wonderful place too. Certainly one of the biggest marinas in the Med and teh local town are spending a lot of money to improve the area.
Awesome videos! Keep them coming and forget about the trolls!
You are so right about Barcelona. Best meal of my life was had there. We just got back from Nice and the food in the whole region was a slight disappointment compared to Barcelona.
0:24 love that you Use the same comment 2 times XD
Quottrup1998 I noticed as well
Hello David, When it comes to berthing your yacht, you buy or rent a slip, but what happens to your space while you're away and how do you arrange a berth for a port call in a different port? Does a side or stern mooring affect the price?
Just out of curiosity, what is the 2019 cost for a gallon of diesel at each location? Is there a limit as to how much you can purchase at any one time?
I would like to hear your insights on Florida USA , and it’s nautical bearings. F
Curious how much it costs to keep Dilbar moored like that... seems to be taking up quite a bit of real-estate
after seeing Dilbar in person in Antibes last week (my wife though it was a cruise ship in port), I don't think the owner really cares what the marina fees are. The 80 drew members probably wonder though :)
A 15M Berth is about £18K per annum......
@Brisdad53 The statement above mine mentioned Antibes and I said per annum, so I didn't reference a season, I said per annum. Please read properly before you criticise someones response.
The Dilbar owner bought his own marina just for Dilbar
I think you should have discussed pricing as well, as this is a major expense for any yacht owner. Other than that, a very enjoyable video.
Well' maybe anchor 7 star hotel in Monaco ,this looses ends for the head hunters is just a percentage .building on line targeted in interior, exterior and the additionally of toys Etc.question?can it pay ?
More great and interesting info. Mega Yacht owners require mega marina's and the standard they provide. And that's probably the reason you didn't hear from USA mainland marinas. There is literally nothing on shores of the Atlantic or Pacific Coasts that can compare the these 4 marinas. You've been to Ft Lauderdale (for the boat shows), what;s your take?. They are almost slums in comparison. I'm heading to Spain in 3 weeks and will be sure to train over to Barcelona and see that marina in person. I'm sure my 18ft yacht could find a home there :)
Chet Meyerson I don’t think there are any yacht marinas in the us anyway
When I hit that lottery jackpot tonight, I will be sending you an email to get me hooked up with the perfect yacht.
Do you need a deck hand?
@@chandlerbingbong sadly, and surprisingly, I did not win the lottery., When I do, I'll keep you in mind.
Did u win the lotto brother???
@@johnnytheirishman3387 I just can't understand why I haven't won yet. The odds of winning $937 million can't be more than...what...1 in 100 or so?
@@HugoHugunin maybe 1 in a 1000🤣
How do you feel about Singapore marinas? Are typhoons too much of a risk? There seem to be many compelling destinations that are not too far from Singapore.
there are also typhoon in american marinas (miami or really anywhere in florida):) so dont know but i think a marina would keep your yacht save
Hi I need advice, what is the average berth size for harbours world wide ? Or is that a stupid question ? I have heard that a 45 ft cat is about as big as one can go for locks as they have wide beams, ? And most locks cannot accommodate any bigger width wise ,,For harbours are most able to accommodate a 100 ft ? Or 80 ft? Am I asking how long a piece of string is ?
Seems i missed this entry well better late than never
The most financially sensible option, of course, is to keep your yacht inside your head 👍
@ Yachts for Sale.....Name your least favorite 5 yachts and builders? And what can make them better to the yachting community. 2) Are there deals to be made in purchasing an out dated yacht and have them refitted to a prospective New owner taste? Who can do the work and minimal costs to the extravagant yet still saving money. Lastly what type of Rolex Submariner are you wearing? Just wondering...
Hi I'm looking to travel around during the winter months as it's impossible to work in the UK.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me please? I specialise in grp structural and cosmetic repairs.
Marina rent is very expensive. I have a new boat. It's pretty big. Second owner. Just sold it because I can't keep it in my backyard. Very upset for it won't fit
*My imaginary yacht is so big I have to anchor it off shore*
Cool bro!
How much does it cost do keep it in these places?
Richard Ball that sounds cheap?
What about Dubai marina? Sir. I m from Asian country. thanks
As an American, why am I not surprised that no one had gotten back to you in a timely manner?
Excellent Video... Such an important subject... Thanks for the run-down. Shame about the American Marinas.
To be fair, I didn’t give them much time to get back to me before filming....having said that, I STILL haven’t heard from them!
How about marinas in south east asia? Don't know where to berth my imaginary amels 272! :D
Simple question,
How much is it to berth at Monaco ?
John Rhodes ports-monaco.com/docs/tarifs-hercule.pdf
Jordan Waugh
I actually thought it would be a lot more expensive.
But I suppose to get a berth in the first place would be the hardest.
Are there any worth it Portugal or the Caribbean?
Great! Now i have to watch "how to get money" video
All right, just park your yacht in my swimming pool in my back garden.
Wait, I don't have a swimming pool.
And no back garden either.
Why have all my bosses sold their boats and are renting this Summer?
I keep my yacht in my backyard. LOL, just kidding, although I could in theory fit a 90 foot boat in my back pond and something over 300 feet long in my front pond, that would get the neighbors talking.
dont care about them :) just go for that Lürssen:P
can the yacht go back to the ocean though?
@@tartagliathewigsplitter3880 Anything is possible with enough money. LOL. I have actually toyed with the idea of putting a small boat in it, no one has raised any objections to it either when I have brought it up in jest, which is actually surprising.
I need a US list
Great advice ....... however, these are NOT yachts, they are Motor Boats (Gin Palaces) mostly for loto winners lol
Mylor Harbour in Cornwall is the best
For years its difficult to get any email replies, in Asia its worse, Cebu or Manila will never reply, in the UK not just marinas but any UK company that answers will be like winning the lottery.
My superyacht would have to have a submarine or I`d find it difficult to get to my undersea palace.
Love your channel David although if I may be so bold as to suggest that you shave your remaining hair off. You will look younger, fresher & more legit as a luxury yacht broker. Do it dude!
Montecarlo is not so expansive, it's right. There are a lot of marinas in France and Italy (for example) far less famous / glamorous with almost the same prices
Marina Ibiza is excellent ruclips.net/video/OEGfYEFKSk0/видео.html
So much improved than the older facilities there a few years ago. I had long wanted to go to Capri Marina Grande and got the chance last year on board a Clients 35m yacht, bit of a let down if I'm honest!
Rich people have such bad taste. It is Just one of The ironies of life. Pay an interior decorator, to decorate a house, with nothing in particular, the more sparse, the better. (I am an interior decorator, ghost tree’s, are my theme, this Christmas season ;)
I am a Yank and we don't have glamours ports of call, we really don't do glamour.
I am interested in TATIANA mostly
Where should I keep my Yak?
1:28 kinda sad how they most likely spend millions on their property and every house looks like the next out of a prefab kit. otherwise stunning pictures.
The Americans may have been asleep when you sent your e-mail out. Pesky time zones. ;)
@CAM Possibly. But it's also possible after receiving answers within 20 minutes from the Med area, he didn't want to keep waiting six more hours for Florida to catch up. He never mentioned the time, so if he emailed out at 8 - 9 am his time, he'd have to wait six more hours for the US marinas to see the email(s). We can only guess (and as such, since he's outside his business, I'd hazard a guess that he filmed the same day he sent the emails).
Easy question: Palma de Mallorca if you're not nouveau riche
None in the US.
Do not forget that the inhabitants of Barcelona prefer Muslims to tourists!
Yes. I'm going to repeat that: SHAME on you, marinas in 'Mericuh!
thegreatmonster there aren’t any yacht marinas in the us, and don’t say that, it’s not a place.
@@KanyeTheGayFish69 I think you're trying to hide 'em marinas over them 'Mericuh, just like a french would do.
thegreatmonster mericuh isn’t a place
@@KanyeTheGayFish69 Yeah yeah, got it. I've heard of them saying that 'Mericuh is an idea, which is perfectly fine with me.
thegreatmonster quit using made up words
I had to mute to give my ears a break. Sooooo, do you listen to this "music" as you go for a leisurely drive or perhaps listen to it during dinner? Or do you just try to torment as many people as possible because you can?
Sorry, but this is so eurocentric it feels quite arrogant. Barcelona was what you describe between 1990 and 2010. It is getting trashier, touristy, dirtier, unsafer. It's becoming the San Francisco of Europe. Not to mention that it was affected big time by covid. The marina in Limassol impressed me indeed, as I saw in the shots the only place in Europe that matches the American level of comfort, mansions, swimming pools, the one that you would find in Miami or Naples, Fort Lauderdale or Newport Beach. But Limassol is kind of in the middle of nowhere and far from the places that most rich people care about.
this video reminds me how many money launderers you must know
How dare you sweat in a hot and humid environment while in the bright sun! WTF is wrong with people?
Glossy nonsense. We need to know details of security, waste disposal, communications, victualling, port rules, use of showers, hairdressing and barbering, medical, bureau de change, meteorological services, the rest is for gawking grockles.
Porto ha there is nothing to do there all BS
your target audience does not watch youtube.
All right for millionaires I guess 🤣😂😂 what a stupid article !
