My main issue is some armors that I can't get. I started recently and whenever I go to collections I just feel pain when I find the perfect helmet that fits my aesthetic and everything.
This is one of the biggest problems with transmog. New lights have not much to transmog. Even I returned after some time and I've missed a lot of stuff. Transmog came at the wrong time.Most of the sets are vaulted. Goes for some of the shaders as well.
Yeah, I’m sad that I missed out on all of the tangled shore armor (prodigal and stuff). The helmets for hunter and titan are really nice

Same here. I really want the solstice 2020 armor, the sunbreak armor, and the braytech armor for my Spartan build, but I’m a new light and can’t get any of it, except for the sunbreak armor which costs like 1000 silver

There should be a vendor that sells vaulted armor pieces for the crash bandicoot crystals, theres no reason we should be fomo'd on fashion of all things
the best tip i can give in designing your guardian is just give them a backstory/qualities and translate them into their armor
This is what I did for my Titan and Warlock. They are built to resemble designs from my KH fanfiction (spun out of control and now devoid of all things KH, sry Riku fans), the former is a Knight a member of totalitarian Order, the latter has two sets the first being a Grigori/Watcher in red, the other being a sub-division of that totalitarian Order. I haven't been able to come up with something good for my Hunter.

Yeah, my titan is a failed fallen, and my warlock is the new queen of the taken (amour journey not completed yet). My hunter is a hive guardian who rebeled against Savathūn then escaped her throne world

the problem is when u use an exotic you get limited, basically when i use wormhusk or stompees cant choose anything else to make it look better
By using exotics I mean picking the exotic you use most and then going from there. For example in that first video I showed off I wanted to make a build for antaeus wards so I built around them. Fashion and function. Or the Siva Titan. I use nothing but synthoceps in PvE so I made something around those.

I've been into Fashion since Warframe and the Original Destiny. So these tips helped a lot for both Warframe and D2.
Also recommendation for people wanting to mix and match their sets:
DO IT IN THE TRANSMOG MENU. If you Mix and match there then click the grey button at the top left.
You can see a full view of what your character will look like. Helps a lot when you're trying to come up with a new set!
Style is something that is subjective. Having a style that is "you" can vary heavily, from having pieces from different sets, or just a simple full sets of armor. If the player likes what they wear, that'll be enough for them. Personally speaking, for example, I have multiple looks that are made of various pieces, but I also have a look or two that are simply one full armor set, as the shaders I chose for them make the full set look great.
I just love the Iron Truage sets the most. The Iron Lord aesthetic was my favorite thing about Destiny and Im really missing old iron lord sets from D1...
With tip number 5 bungie said "too hell with that!" And for there fashion contest picked stuff like an all black warlock
I gravitate towards the browns and earthy colors. Like brass or a matte metallic. Vex chrome is one of my favorites. Main motif I strive for is adventurers and space exploration, like an expeditionary party.
Man right as I think of starting a d2 fashion channel I find someone already did it lmao. Consider my subscription earned

Warlock here. I tend to go for a simplistic style with simple shaders. I mainly use monochromatic shader on every peice of my warlock just because I think simple = better. But I do wanna start using a better fashon style though. Great tips.
A warlock robe I really like is the Deep Stone chest as the “dress” portion is minimal and allows you to see whatever legs you have on
Seen some sick combos out there. Seen one dude looked like Bane, the bounty hunter from Clone wars another one was dressed like a Skrull from marvel comics. Dope creativity out there i can only imagine having the mind to create.

Not gonna lie its nice knowing i wasnt the only one who tried the celestial plate with contender gauntlets, it has the same look for females just thinner and i dont like my titan to have much bulk so. (Atm i dont use the armour i just mentioned, i kinda just went crazy and used the watchers shade shader from gifting two subs on twitch with a bunch of stuff i transmogged and yh idk looks like i could eat it soooo)

Near the beginning of this season I went with an ancient titan style (with the vex descendant shader) and right now I'm doing an arctic explorer titan.
i made a mix with substitutional alloy armor, vault of glass armor, and any other vex themed armor i could find and used descendant vex chrome on all 3 characters and they all turned out nice
My style is In memory of Cayde, Ace of Spades and Hunter Vanguard outfit
I have certain armor designs depending on the class and exotic armor piece I use.
My Arc Hunter uses the original Destiny 2 Red War damaged armor with Liars Handshake. It’s so cool because Liars Handshake is damaged so it fits PERFECTLY.

Personally I'm not much of a fashion guy for Destiny, but I personally have a favorite Titan look, I have the Iron Remembrance set for most of it with the Sovereign helm and Lion's Pride mark and in my opinion most shaders look pretty decent with it especially the new monarchy shaders themselves, and my favorite shader so far with this specific look is descendent vex chrome as it makes your armor look old and rusted much like that classic Iron Banner look

I am currently using gambit steel for my warlock with melchizeldek bramble. And the new ritualism shader
I’ve heard the Warlock tip before of not having the helmet or the robes be from the same set, so I had to spend forever finding another robe I liked, since I loved both the Pathfinder Helmet, and the Pathfinder Robes. I decided to keep the helmet because I feel like it could fit on my Exo’s head, as she has the fins for ears. I also liked the glow on the helmet.
A really good shader combo to me is Maroon Moon and Nessus Pursuit. Maroon Moon on hard armor, Nessus Pursuit on soft armor.
Edit: MuffinBandit is being a bit hypocritical when saying "not" to use reds, blacks, and whites, yet when I look at him he is wearing those exact colors.

For my Knitan (Knight/Titan)™, jk, I use Helm of St-14 and Shelter In Place arms, the chest and legs are usually easy enough to match. I like the latest Marks. The shaders are all Dawning Brilliance. St-14 is a Void Helm but that doesn't fit my theme, so I usually do Striker. I call her Alpha Centauri/AC.
For a while, I was rocking Khepri's Horn with Technoscarab and Midnight Exigent armor.
For a minute, I also did Wormgod's caress with Karek Type 2 plate and Terra Concord Mark. The head and legs didn't really matter. All were colored either Falvedo or Malachite Gold.

The best shader I found for all black titans is atmospheric glow (heads up it works on a majority of the armors but not all of them) I’m using a white and purple faceless hunter it doesn’t look great but I enjoy it

As a guardian who unconsciously worries about how he looks before looking at stats I'm so happy that we can do ornaments for all of our armor to make it look like whatever we want now
I found mine on accident, I just like smooth and rounded armor, so I've gotten a neat looking set. My current style tho has changed from my old Playing card based color scheme to the new orange and white color scheme. I think it's a unique scheme not seen very often, even if I look like a Whataburger employee
I had my perfect look sorted in D1 but in D2 I just go for a all white clean look, also wearing either DSC or VOG armour. I kinda wish I had my old look back but they would need to bring back glowing shaders like queens web as that was my all time favorite. (Hunter main)
I always try my best to make rusted and busted sets. Looking like a junker/ scavanger.
Personally, I got Skullfort from one of my season rewards, proceeded to cop the Luxe set and haven't looked back. I look like the guy from Ruiner lol.
Now I just use the vest bit with either the DSC or VOG arms, gives me some of the titan bulk back while still being slim.
I'm new light so don't really have the stuff to pull off the "space knight" look so I'll stick to dude in a jacket lmao

Wish destiny would open up all the armor in the game and shaders i don't always play the game so i have missed a ton of stuff so im very limited on my options
My main issue is I feel I missed out. They shouldn’t just remove armor. At least turn it into universal ornaments and stick em in eververse. Make us pay 2,000+ silver for old raid armour, and 1,500 for Crimson Days.
i just use vanguard nightbeam on everything, it just works on pretty much everything i throw it on and it's been my favourite since it came out in season 9. the only thing from there is mixing armour to make the colours from the shader flow properly. do i want orange and white gloves on my warlock, just orange, just white, just dark blue? I've been able to get good armour to mix on all 3 characters and imo they all look good. for example, my hunter uses the white in vanguard nightbeam as little as possible, making a sort of vanguard stealth kinda look. the body (without breastplate) is black, the arms are black and orange, the legs are black with a small hint of navy blue, the airhead cloak works very well with nightbeam, and the 2021 gg hunter mask has a black visor with a pale white eye.
I know that using the same shader/style on all 3 of ones characters can be considered boring, but each to their own. my own personal headcanon is that each of my characters are, in essence, the same. just different iterations of each other, so for me it makes sense that what are essentially the same people would have the same fashion sense, but that's just me. i might post some pics of my guardians on the discord so if anyone reading gets this far, you might be able to see what i'm talking about
I have a dark Egyptian looking warlock with the original trials helmet and the scorned baron robes with the lunar gloom shader and the light kin bond
Might wanna add: Chitin Slate gives some armor a good leather look
My Hunter looks like a scrapper with the Season of the splicer chest ornament, Neo Thonis Breather, Icarus Drifter arms, Wild Hunt or Scavenger cloak, and I forget the legs I use. But I use the Descendant Vex Chrome on all of it for a rusted look
My hunter is my least played class, and yet it’s the only one I really have a style for.
Honestly for me being a warlock main, for a long time what I would do is slap on calamity robes, plus the stag exotic helm, simple-esk gauntlets and generic non noticable pants really but have the bond be of a glowing type and I would describe myself as a grim reaper
My guys a warlock, and when I use arc I use Crown of Tempests with Heiro Camo chestplate, it looks sick with a dark blue shader, especially on Europa
A few seconds ago my hunter was a sad little man with no friends. That hasn't changed, but man do I look good doing it.

I got a nice set on my hunter that uses a mix of iron banner shaders
I always struggle to make my hunter look like hes using a void subclass, i primarily go for Melchizedek bramble on all pieces. Working on the changes as i type this
Personally I run the SotP Raid armor on my warlock and the whole black armory is basically my aesthetic and since the armor had the sunset limit removed I can keep it forever 👌

I know once I get the season chest ornament I'm going to try and mix it up with geo mag ornament. The only piece I'm still trying to figure out is the helmet. Arms and bond I already have.

What I do is find one or two parts of armour I like Wich is helment and clock the rest I go with what fits
I have not very good armour but I do have a lot of legendary shaders and they look amazing
I did vog with a guy who had the most over the top helmet, chest, and arms, and the legs were literal jeans
What I do is paint my armor grey or in just one colour to find the perfect shape easier. Then add the colours.
I'm a Titan Main. I have two main styles that I love going for. The casual citizen who ended up with powers and in the middle of a space war. The other is the knight who have been chosen and acts upon their own morals and beliefs against those who oppose them.
Imo the transmog menu needs an environment changer for the background (for seeing our contrast, cool photos, etc), but also to see how our armor acts in the lighting instead of always loading new zones and waiting. Kind of like Horizon Forbidden West's GAIA Dome
Well here’s my problem: I have 2 styles, 1 is busy with lots of spikes and special shapes, and the other 1 is clean with not too much going on. So I’m a jack of all trades in fashion basically

Bit late but they sold last years armor this year so they will most likely bring both back for purchase alongside the new set.

I know a shader that makes things mostly black, it’s called dead orbits fate. I’m not sure if you can still get it, but it usually works if you want a mostly black esthetic.
Cant get that shader anymore Its from the faction rallys we had way back when they also had catalysts in them as rewards.

My style is whatever I think looks cool as well as nice on my characters. I honestly don't care what anyone else thinks cause it's my style that I like. For instance all my Hunter's armor shader is the new age black armory. My Titan's armor shader is one of the calus's shaders

I'm not gonna lie, but every fashion I make is pretty good. I've always had people standing around me looking at my armor sets. I go by what exotic I'm using and build a theme around that.
What would you recommend to make a Titian that almost look like it on fire or make a Titian look like it made out of lava?

My only problem with this system is that you have no way to get old armor pieces that you didn’t acquire. I took a long break from destiny and have almost no customization options.
My fashion style is mainly the dirty rust scrapper. dirty shaders armor pieces that look damage or put together with junk.

When i customize my hunter, i can chose a style, but i change it at the 2 weeks. I just cant stop changing the style, everytime i imagine a new one or find a new one. I just go straight to it. Griding the gear, the shaders, ETC.
I like more the 100% classic Black Style
Or a medieval like Iron Banner or New Monarchy style.
AND A Green camuflage, like a Soldier. Or a Metal Gear character (im dreaming to be able to do an Ocelot from MGS3)
