    Donny is looking great. The wonderful thing about a black horse is the shine you can get. ❤

      @@sarahcooper3378 yes it’s much easier with a dark horse but we might do a Finley glow up soon 😄

    Really enjoyed the vlog and he looks beautiful. Funny, don't laugh but with bathing it reminds me of properly washing cars. It's not just soapy water & a hose. Need to do my vehicles after the snow but it's too icy. Tip with bathing dogs is to do it way in advance as after washing they blow coat.

    What an enjoyable vlog, having a shire yearling my grooming trimming is slightly different but love the hot oil look now he’s out of the soap up look I’ll definitely be oiling him - he’s jet black with white legs ❤

    Donny looks great. So for the hot oil, you leave it on after you do it? You don’t wash or brush it off? And you look adorable! 😊❤❤❤

      @@jeniferrinehart1107 so the oil essentially removes grease and dust from the coat and replaces with an oil which nourishes the skin. So yes you leave in in the coat. Patch test your horse before using xx

    How many days before should I hot oil? My horse is clipped fully. This was super helpful thanks so much! I have a showing show on Sunday 😅❤

      @@algeebo I would hot oil the day before a show and once a week on the build up to your show. You can oil on the day but it can sometimes look smeary if they don’t dry fully in the cold weather 😃

    What a great vlog, really helpful, do you have any recommendations for thin manes? Thanks for sharing.

    • @misscooper-showponies1220
      @misscooper-showponies1220  12 дней назад +1

      For a thin mane I would use megatek mane rebuilder and probably a snuggly hood rather than a neck rug as it’s more breathable. If stabled at night I would keep the neck rug off and avoid brushing it regularly x
