  • The true story of the official Inquiry into the Titanic disaster. Was a ship called The Californian close enough to have saved them?
As the Titanic sank frantic passengers spotted lights that appeared to come from a nearby ship. But it did not come to their rescue. What was the ship? Why did it do nothing? Titanic Inquiry is the sensational true story of the SS Californian. Was it the ship seen from the deck of the Titanic? Did it stand idly by and watch as the Titanic sank and hundreds died?
The Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New Your City. There were 1,514 people that drowned in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. "The Unsinkable Titanic" sunk and today the story lives on in fans of those who love this great ship and it's history.

Captain Lord, is the Captain of his Ship, and did not make the proper requests of waking the wireless operator, or even took action to verify for himself. The atmosphere on the Californian was hostile, and given by the way this movie exposes the lack of discipline, and order, it stands to reason since 1912, the incompentent nature of Captain Lord and the way things were handled, resulted in Leyland Lines to suffer economic failure, that Glory went to Cunard, and RMS Carpathia that heard the C.Q.D. and S.O.S. and survived buying out, White Star, to current times. Had Captain Lord and Californian DID attempt and succeed in rescuing the Titanic history would have changed. Yet the Californian and Captain Stanley Lord will be the villians of this horrific tragedy.. Loss of the Scrap Log Book, fabrication of locations, and truthful officers that came forward to tell the truth, had better outcomes and careers, than those that tried to cover up the crime of 1912.. Mr Groves told the truth, and risked his career at the time.

I must say that I really enjoyed watching it. I have always been interested in the Titanic. One of my favorite movies is A Night To Remember. Deep down I feel that Captain Lord is a coward for not saving the Titanic.

As sad as the “Californian problem” and the tale of Stanley Lord after the inquiry is, I prefer to focus on the story of the Carpathia and Captain Arthur Rostron, it really is inspirational how he and his crew got an aging 1 stacker almost 3 knots over her rated top speed and maintained that speed for hours in darkness amongst dense field ice and made it to the very spot the boats were circled in spite of having the wrong coordinates for the Titanic’s last position. I’d love to see a movie or a full length documentary done on that, maybe there is one already out there? If so, can anybody point me in the right direction?

While there was focus on life boats and tonnage during the inquiries, there was no deficiencies according to the regulations at the time, so this reenactment is making the same mistake a lot of people do in their criticisms of the ship. The number of lifeboats wouldn't have legal weight against any ship, thus I highly doubt they used it as such. Rather, the inquiry asked these questions to judge the regulations themselves.

Paul McGann is perhaps best known for playing the Eighth Incarnation of The Doctor. He played the title role in the Doctor Who TV movie of the 1990s and a mini-episode made during Matt Smith's run. The mini-sode showed his Doctor regenerating into the War Doctor played by the late John Hurt.

I would love to see a full reactment of the US Inquiry without any altercations to the transcripts. It would be long but still pretty interesting. Especially surrounding the survivors with opportunities and privileges to witness key events occurring.

Another superb video from you. I don't do so-called conspiracy theories, but the idea that the sinking of the Titanic was a UK government insurance scheme remains conspicuously compelling. That the collision of the Olympic under Captain Edward Smith with the HMS Hawke, a ship designed for such collisions, was an intentional test collision to test the lines resiliency and physical response to collisions on the open sea, and that the captain of the Olympic during this test knew of this and was made sure to be placed in the command of the Titanic during the pre-rehearsed North Atlantic collision with the iceberg and escaped the Titanic under an assumed identity as an insurance scam might be carried out. His subsequent escape was as rehearsed as the collision, unlike the similar more conspiratorial idea that the Olympic and Titanic were switched before the disaster. The captain would survive the disaster and continue to live under his new life, like a bank robber escaping the authorities. Two vital crew member associates of Smith survived, the nurse and the stoker. It's hard to ignore that there would be more than ample real reasons at that time to carry out such heinous criminal actions but it is also a difficult possibility, and deft probability, to ignore. This argument is not being called a conspiracy theory, it is being called a criminal investigation. How does this argument by sound knowledgeable people of this kind of criminal act sound to others who research the Titanic disaster and the fate of her sister ships? People who are setting this idea forth are not describing a conspiracy theory but a criminal investigation perhaps even with a wartime initiative. Perhaps, like the fake cities built during the World War to fool the enemy. You wouldn't believe it until you find out it was true. What are your thoughts on this kind of talk? I find it interesting and more so than the conspiracy theories but it takes those with a deep vested interest in this subject to survey deeper into this fold.
