The storyline is what he's experiencing in real life it's pretty complex but its based on his bipolar and DID which means: Dissociative identity disorder... What's crazy is that he's not acting those characters he knows when he's going to switch they are real personalities in Ian's body Mito is one of his personality and as you can see towards the end he has a different view on music he's more into the dark and strong beats
He said he doesn’t have DID he only has bipolar disorder and all his characters reflect his different emotions not his “personalities”

The joker personality is Mr Insanity, and the one chasing them is Mito(Ian's other personality that is usually dark & depressing). Ian has been struggling with bipolar and DID, so my interpretation of the MV is that Mr Insanity is trying to find the "key" to Ian's consciousness. So Mito is trying to stop him cause as we can see, Mr Insanity is another side of Ian that is destructive and insane (hence the joker personality).
I could be completely wrong, but it's just how I perceived the story!

@@ren4118 He revealed in a recent Instagram live that he has DID, and he said he felt embarrassed abt it. And he said "the whole general based concept of my artistry is based on my DID"
