- This is my first time ever reacting to DPR IAN (Saint, Don't Go Insane, Limbo, Skins).
I literally had to check my pulse at some point, and I also cried, so... yay! (?)

Mito is Ians second Personality (in Lore AND in Reallife.) The song Skins was completely writen, produced and filmed by Mito. Ian didn't know about this at all. In the End, where it says "DPR Visuals + Ian", you can see in the reflection that there is "DPR Visuals + Mito" standing.

Where did ian talk about it is it his live streams ?
Mito and Ian's heartbreak are individually emotional, but put them together and it's devastating. They've been through a lot and hearing him saying "I never asked to be like this" breaks me. The more you know about his alters, the more you'll recognize them in both his MVs and his music since they each have their own flavor of music.
I love watching people discover Ian! Makes my heart so happy. Dpr Ian is a true artist, and an incredibly cinematic story telling genius.

Dpr Ian aka Christian Yu is a Korean-Australian singer, musician, producer, editor, director etc
He is an incredible artist who makes all of his music and music videos! He edits them all!❤ he’s really one of a kind. He also directs and edits for other artists.
Ian has Bipolar and DID (dissociative identity disorder). His music and videos explore those subjects, they also include his “alters”. “Alters” are basically other personalities that live in one person (they have different memories, attitudes, habits, tones etc). Ian blacks out when he switches.
He is very open about his mental health he felt comfortable enough to share more about his diagnosis’s over the years. He’s so inspiring.
The alters/personalities he has included in his work so far and their psychical appearances in mvs:
MITO
He takes over during Ian’s manic lows. He is destructive but also Ian’s protector. He holds Ian’s trauma and keeps it all locked away.
In music videos he can be seen wearing dark clothes, an eye ring on his finger, he has one white eye, and his voice is made very deep. Whenever you hear a deep voice talking or deeper singing, that’s Mito. Sometimes his scenes are in black and white but not always! Just look out for the eye👀
You watched SKINS and that is all Mito. Ian came out of an episode to a completed music video and demo❤
MR INSANITY
he takes over during Ian’s manic highs. He is very chaotic and lacks care for his own safety. Mito hates him bc of those things.
He can be seen in music videos with blonde hair, clown-like makeup, fireflies surrounding him, his eyes sometimes flash pink and green.
THE HYBRID
it is a combination of the worst parts of Mito and Mr Insanity. Eye colours seem to be either blue or gold. Ian has called it an “abomination” and “entity”. Ian has not referred to it as a certain gender either, where as Mito and Mr Insanity go by he/him.
The hybrid does have a name but Ian has said on his live that only about 6 people in his life know it. He might share the name soon as his upcoming album is mainly focused on The Hybrid.
It’s appearance in music videos is a mix of Mito and Mr Insanity.

@@BaiWuxiangsWorshiper Ian has mentioned the gold eyes being linked to Hybrid I think around Limbo release? but in the latest Instagram live he said the character with gold eyes was Ian in the process of turning into Insanity. I didn’t really know where to add the info so I just added it with the Hybrid😅
When we know more and the Hybrid album comes out I’m sure I’ll be able to describe the appearance more accurately 👍❤️
Skins is so raw and vulnerable. The fact that you were crying even without context is a testament to that. It got me too.
I could listen to it for days, uninterrupted, and it would still give me goosebumps

Skins is literally MITO. Ian did not consciously created the demo thus shooted the MV - it was all MITO. Ian was in an episode during those times. After that, he decided to leave the demo as raw as possible.
You should react to So Beautiful as well. Ian switched to MITO during the shoot. There were scenes he could not remember shooting. Specifically the black and white scenes in the MV are MITO.
You need to look up how Ian wants you to watch it, some are prequels. He is a precious human being, taking all of his, what others would call challenges, in stride and he refers to it as his gift. Once you know his story it all makes sense and you will want to protect him from the world.

So I do think it’s fine to watch them out of order. It will confuse you about his life story. Because that’s basically what he’s doing. He’s showing us what he goes through. Some spoil alert but it helps you to understand if your freaked has not said this. But Ian has bipolar 1 I believe and he also has DID. Which means he has multiple personalities. Mito represents his lows and darker times but he’s also Ian protector if he’s stressed out or anything or feels threatened then Mito appears. This is shown in the no blueberries mv. I’m telling you that so when you do so beautiful and no blueberries which I hope you do it does show a switch. I just won’t tell you where haha. So for the most part it looks like you did a mix of videos of his personalities. The original don’t go insane is Mr insanity and you will see with Mr insanity there will be Mr green. He’s the one that will look more like a clown type. Mito was in the Mito don’t go insane. Ian can’t get his voice that low only Mito can do that. And im saying this Incase people say it’s not true or whatever but he has said these things in lives and instagram lives. So it is out there somewhere of him saying. Limbo confused me. I don’t know what personality that is. It looks like a dark Mr insanity. So I’m not sure about limbo. I feel like that could be the hybrid also or a peek of the hybrid which some say we haven’t seen yet. But I have heard that Ian did say the hybrid will have blue eyes and in the beginning he had blue eyes in saint. So when it comes to hybrid I have no idea it’s just all theories for me. Also you should react to his short documentaries also. That helps you understand things also. And yes Ian does everything 😂 he writes songs dances produced his own stuff directed his own stuff. All of it is his vision. He is one of the owners of DPR which is his label. I believe him and DPR live both own it and I believe they were the first DPR. Also you should react to his thirst tweets 😂😂😂 and the Mito movie part 1. Okay sorry that was long. I may have forgotten some info so please forgive me. And if any dreamers (DPR fans) think I got any info wrong please correct me.

@@alleinkdrama you are so very welcome :) his life story is very complex but once you see all sides you get the hang of it. And if you see him live I’m so jealous. Please document it. I think the closest to me he will be is Washington here in the states. So I don’t know if I will be able to see him. But if you have an opportunity to girl take it and go.
Ian explained in an instagram live that 'Limbo' basically means 'being stuck between heaven and hell'. What we see in the mv is 'the hybrid'. You can clearly tell by the make up and the stars on is cheeks, as well as the colorful contact lenses, that these are the characteristics of mr insanity. But at the same time, he's wearing black with a little bit of red and in one scene he has these black wings. These are clear indication for mito.

As a fellow Bipolar sufferer, I can really relate to his songs. The different characters in the videos portray the different mood swings/personalities he copes with. MITO stands for "Moodswings Into Order"

He is in fact the goofiest cutest and the softest personbwho happened to be struggling with such hard mental disorders that made him decide to turn this sorrow into pure gold ( literally like what he said in don't go insane ) i adore him for what he's doing with his artistry.
Ik the lore is cofusing and complicated af because clearly it is sth very personal and real to him & that is why he explains lots of things in his lives, the timeline isn't in order as well which makes it more like puzzle to solve and he's such a detailed person you really need to watch his mvs frame by frame if you want to get into your compelet theorizer mode over his lore but dw you'll definitely get the whole situation the more you know about him .Im also so excited for you since you got a no skip discography to listen to you'll be amazed how diverse ian's music is and im sure you gonna enjoy it very very much

I really enjoy watching people discovring Ian but i just get the happiest when it's those people who GETS it ,like you eventhough you were going in compeletly blind i could tell you were so touched and that is all Ian wants he keeps saying he wants to make others feel again and i beleive he's doing an amazing job with that .i respect this man a lot he pours his soul into his artistry which is not an easy thing to do he puts himslef out there in his most vulnarable states just so there might be people out there who can relate to it and feel more comfortable in their skin, the community that he has made is absolutely admirable.
tbh I could literally write a whole essay about why i love this man so much and why his art means the world to me and believe me i used to be a causal listener thinking his songs are so good and he is such a handsome guy but when i heard him talk and got to know him deeper there was no turning back AT ALL.genuinely one of the most precious human beings i truely wish life could treat him better cause he deserves nothing but love and happiness .🥺
