I've just realised that all the scenes that he shot were the locations that he and CL used for her song 5 Star. So in her video they were together but in his, he's clearly gone through a break-up.
I noticed there were some same locations/sets in So Beautiful and 5 Star, that connect both MVs. The lake, the forest, the bed room, the living room where CL and Ian were chilling on the sofa and the painting/picture that's hanging on the wall above the sofa, that's the same picture in the beginning of So Beautiful MV. And, yes at the end of 5 Star MV, CL is alone, it means they broke up, and she was reminiscing their relationship and memories together. 5 Star is like the story before So Beautiful.

So imagine this video is part of the side of a coin lol (this is the only way i can think to explain this so bare with me people) CL and DPR kinda did like a...mini swap with the story of a relationship and they broke up? So CL's 5star i like to think is her reminicising over the loving parts of their relationship, showing the small argument, but always bringing it back together, at the end when she looks up she kind of looks lost and sad ish. Where as DPR's video is kinda like his POV after their break up, i think it's safe to assume he did something to himself hence his eye, and also hence CL's sad look in at the end of her video (he dead...maybe). It's like puzzle pieces LOL

This song is a masterpiece one of the best songs and mvs I've seen in awhile Christian even directed it 👏 the way I see it the song and mv is about human nature, how many sides you have to yourself and how deep do you know each side...in the end the chaos that forms each of us is beautiful...
