I personally prefer the original jubilee bracelet. So much more comfortable, and I think it actually looks better in my opinion as well. I tried those bracelets myself, and I do admit they are well made. but I always go back to the original Seiko jubilee because of comfort and looks.
Love the construction of the MilTat bracelets, but like many, I feel like they add too much heft and weight, especially around the clasp. Had one for my first 013, and one for my SARB033 and find it detracts from the elegance of the OEM bracelets. My opinion is that if you’re using your SKX007 or 013 as your everyday watch, the MilTat may be a good choice, but if you rotate your watches daily or every other day, the MilTat isn’t worth the cost. Just my $0.02. Either way, great content and you’ve gained a subscriber!
Will the 20mm miltat bracelet fit a “sub” case? Trying to look for a jubilee to fit my Seiko sub mod Im putting together with a Pagani 1661 case. The skx013 is a 38mm case 20mm lug width and Pagani 1661 is 40mm case 20mm lug wdith
A straight end Jubilee bracelet will probably fit. The other bracelets are specifically made for specific watches. Thus won’t probably fit on any other case.
You'll lose some character of the watch if you ditch the original. Each to his own--but the original seiko jubilee is superior. It's lighter, looks better, sufficient micro adjust, folds better at the top hinge, and of course it's seiko oem. I have both, but I'd highly recommend not wasting your money on the miltat. Seiko nailed and perfected the original bracelet. More "heavy duty" doesn't mean better.
Thank you for the review. I think you misspoke when you said that the Miltat/Strapcode bracelet removeable link pins were held in place by phillips head screws. I believe that these are standard slotted screws. If you would, please call out the size of screwdriver that you used to size these bracelets.
My apologies if I used the wrong term! I am not an expert om screws. I used a precision screwdriver set by a brand called Meister. To seize the MiLTAT bracelet for the SKX013 I used a piece that is flat ( - ) and it’s written 1.5. Hope this helps you!
Clasp shouldn't ever be so humongous and who the FUG needs 6 micro adjustments, 4 max is fine, and it adds bulk unnecessarily to it and there's no features to this clasp so the premium it has over the super o is BULL I hate strapcode they keep discontinuing female end link bracelets too and using male ones more and the whole watch community vocally hates those wtf, and that clasp again Is BIGGER THAN THE WATCH ITSELF if they got rid of that one and made their adjustable divers clasp style one the norm it'd be fine

Thanks for writing! Fair points! I have both so I can go back and forth. So far I like the MiLTAT a bit more 😆
Agree. The miltat bracelet is too thick and bulky
I just purchased mine for $280 in nearly new condition. Love it, it's a timeless piece.

Thanks for sharing your insights. In my opinion the original is more comfortable due to the weight.
@@GadgetsforGentlemen True. I think Miltat is good too. Obviously it's more robust and fits well. Thanks for your comparison.
Thanks for your feedback!
Nice!
Thank you
