    What an amazing start up sound on this VERY BIG FAN. I've watched it multiple times simply because I love the start up sound. Great fan for sure

    Usually the startup sound is just a standard 60 HZ buzz but that fan has a beautiful start

    Nice old condensing unit fan!
    With a motor like that I'd say its a run cap that it needs. motor looks the same as the one in my 16Kw Alcair. that needed a 5mfd run.

    Love the sound of these old condenser fans. I used to maintain trane chillers that had eight of these fans on each.

    yeah, sorta like an old American updraft unit.
    I saw a similar one on a Lennox heatpump a while back.

    LOL, looks exactly like and sounds exactly like the fan from the condenser unit for the AC at my house, the only difference would be that mine is running on 240 volts 60hz rather than the 50hz you're using.

    I don't have one just remember them from the farm as a kid and see them for sale all the time. They are about the same size as yours and run about 5-8hp

    i cant get to the back one and the front one it is under covers. its a out door fan. i only use it 2 times a year. one day i will pull it down and get new bearings.

    very scary start up sound being the frequency is 50 HZ here in the states the voltages and frequency is different with electrical power here as its mainly 60 HZ or cycles per second. and the motor type is a PSC permanent Split Capacitor type motor meaning you need a run capacitor my guess these condenser fans use a 5MFD cap im sure where u live u need a higher peak voltage run cap like a 440 Volt or thereabouts. as in the US with 60 Hz the motors tend to run a bit faster.

      looks like 240 volt and 50 hz of 50 cycles as the frequency is much different in other countries than North America which is 60 hz or 60 cycles
