    Tiger says its unique, patented ‘one-shot’ Cavity Wall Ties mean faster fixing, easier application, stronger grip and less room for error.
    The company hopes its cavity wall ties will transform professional & DIY building fixings forever.
    The secret is in Tiger’s patented wall-fixing system. Insert, twist and the fixing becomes its own plug. An E.D.P.M. sheath is compressed, swells a full 360° within the hole, also making it waterproof. Designed to be more effective than old fashioned fixings, and lateral strength (pulling out as opposed to supporting) is significantly improved too. Building a wall just got easier.
    Tiger Fixings can be repositioned right up to the last twist.
    Whether it’s Starter Ties, Cavity Wall Ties, Eye, Hook or L Bolts Tiger says you can say goodbye to conventional wall plugs. The only tool you need is a drill.
    - Build up to 3 storeys or 15 metres
    - Unique 360° grip
    - No wall plug needed
    - All stainless steel 304 to BS1554
    - Quick and easy to fit
    - Only tool required is a drill
    - Manufactured to British Standards
    - BBA Approved tie
    - For domestic & light commercial building
    Cavity Ties come with a capillary drip to prevent moisture creep when bridging wall cavities.
    This product can also be bespoke produced for coastal areas in 316 steel.
    Make the change and grasp the future of building fixings!

    Nice solution to my project. Recently I had to rush the outer skin due to weather issues, unfortunately the upper half of the outer skin has no ties.This tiger fellas came to the rescue . Thanks Roger!

    Good tutorial Roger. Good to see the cavity tray set in above the catnic over the window reveals. Those tiger screw ties are the mutts nuts. We don't have them in Leeds. Much better than our bluebird screw ties (with seperate plugs).
    Great comprehensive video about tieing new block work to original wall.

    Manufacturer’s instructions state you should drill into brick at an angle. Tie is then bent to horizontal along mortar joint.

    Good advice ,I use resin if I have to keep courses on existing and drill into mortar beds on existing builds .
    Just another bit of advice that may be beneficial to people ,resin capsules are best.

    Should these wall ties go on every course up the wall?

  • @Tonys_Podium
    @Tonys_Podium 6 лет назад +2

    Do you put them in every row of bricks or skip a few?

    • @SkillBuilder
      @SkillBuilder  6 лет назад +4

      Most people put them in every third course which works out the same as the blocks.

      Long length walls every 6 course of brick or 2 course of blockwork.
      Every 3 course of brick or 1 course of blockwork for short butts especially near doors and windows.

    • @KevinColt
      @KevinColt 6 лет назад

      3 courses reveals, 6 courses straight runs is plenty, .. unless theres some major engeneering aspect that needs you to reinforce the wall or something

      Tying in to keep courses with brickwork on existing no option other than using resin to secure a better tie in ,if mortar is weak and sandy .Give the man a break hes teaching you to do it right and doing people a good turn .
