But can someone do llm in international business and the same time pay for extra five courses in the same university to be taught the remaining nca courses please

Hello, I have a doubt. If I complete an LL.M program in Canadian Common Law which fulfils the NCA requirements, does that mean that I won't have to write the NCA Exams, and I can directly proceed further after LLM in (Common Law) without giving NCA exams? Or, I would still need to write NCA exams even after taking NCA courses in my LLM program? So basically, does completing an LLM program in Common Law exempt you from giving NCA exams and provide you the NCA (Certificate of Qualification) without having to write its exam. Please help me with this :)

NCA is not LLM. Correct your basics. NCA is an exam given by people who pursue bachelors in law outside Canada and to make this degree equivalent to their Juris Degree, people need to give this exam.
I took both. No regrets, apart from the money I spent

hi Rabeea, came across you video, glad you could share all the infromation with so much ease..... i have a specific query.... what i wanted to ask was after giving the NCA exams and while enrolling for Ryerson LPP programme, how likely/unlikely is it for an overseas lawyer to get a Work-study visa. as I sceptical as to why would immigration grant visa for an overseas lawyer to study something which helps the student to give bar exmas or helps them in landing a job when the said person doesnt have any immigration status while applying for the said programme.
In simpler words wont the Immigration deny the Visa even after an internation lawyer passes the NCA exam and gets enrolled in the LPP programme because he/she doesnt have legal immigtration status while applying ?? and secondly if its goes thru does the said person get any Post Study WOrk Visa to secure a job or not ?

Hello, thank you so much for this and I’d really like to follow this pathway into getting licensed in Canada cause I’m also interested in mastering in international law and I don’t want to lose that opportunity because of the nca exams, I just wanted to know if I decide to take the nca courses and maybe take out a few months to finish that up before applying for the llm, how do I go about it, are there classes I can go to or do I just have to just get a tutor, with this, am I coming into Canada with a study permit or a visitor’s visa, I’m trying to do as much research before I fully move to Canada(Edmonton). Great questions Esther! You can study for the NCA exams on your own and purchase study material online. In my opinion, you can study on your own if you have good study material.

How long does it take to complete the ‘becoming a lawyer’ process through NCA?
Depends on which path you take. But I would say atleast 3 years provided you don't get any training exemption.
I have a question- Are there courses that can eliminate the NCA exam? for example, I am thinking about taking the Canadian constitutional principles elective in my LLB program in England. Would this eliminate one of the exams? Also should I even take that elective if my route is to go to an LLM which will cover the course?
After which course i can get high paying job there?
Thanks for this video. So - if someone does the normal/ specialized LL.M (without taking any NCA course), do they get to still write 5 NCA exams, or will they be eligible to write less? Also, I infer they must also still go through writing bar exams as well, in addition to the NCA exams?
Everyone's assessment varies depending on their background. Generally speaking, if you complete the specialized LLM and don't take any NCA courses as part of the LL.M you will have to write the NCA exams separately. You also have to write the bar exams after you complete your NCA credentials.

If some foreign lawyer enter Canada at the age of 31 and pass NCA and bar exam ,after this process if hos points would not have enough to get PR .just on the basis of canadian bar licence would he can practice law in canada without having status of PR?

I am planning to take the NCA exam and i have completed my bachelors in law in may 2020 . I wanted to know is it necessary to have the bar license in order to apply for the NCA Exam and is there any effect on my NCA assessment if I don’t have the license?

Do I have to get myself registered with Bar council of India to give the NCA exams or I could give them after my completion of law degree?
Nope! You only need a qualifying law degree to apply for an NCA assessment.

If you complete all required NCA courses as part of your LLM in Canadian Common Law, you don't need to take NCA exams.

You don't need LSAT for LLM

Yes you can if you are able to manage studying for NCA courses while doing a Masters programme. Some my friends actually did this and were successful.

Have you done articling and done pass the provincial bar exam of the area your in. No other bars required. Each province has its own bar Registry and enrolment process
What I know is that I cannot practice law in Canada, unless I do the NCA to take the bar exam.
Can I take the bar exam with LLM in Canada, whether full time or part time?
Nope. You can only take the licensing bar exams once you finish your NCA required courses and receive a NCA certificate of qualification (whether you do it as part of the LLM or writing exams separately)

Depends on the courses you take. You can take NCA courses as part of your LLM in Canadian Common Law.

I moved as a PR and I did my LLM from INDIA and then did send my transcripts from INDIA to NCA for assessment and after that they did tell me required exams to be given which hence bring equivalency to canadian law foe Foreign trained or educated lawyers and after that I will go ahead for articling.

@@salakhadoos3544 I stated my question incorrectly. I was informed that they're were two types of masters that can be taken, the one with the foundations of law is the masters that allows you to skip the NCA's
