Hello!! My name is Margaret Armen. I am twenty-something and I live in the very fun (definitely underrated) Pittsburgh, PA! I left my job in advertising to go back to school for nursing. I just graduated from my accelerated BSN program!! Next stop, NCLEX, and then a job in labor and delivery! I love bingeing a good TV show, listening to a murder podcast, and snuggling my little pup. Hi Margaret, I wish you all the best of luck with the nclex. I recently started following you. I am starting to take my prerequisites for a couple of programs that I want to apply to in August. Do you have any tips for getting accepted to a program? In terms of the required essay and recommendations? I hear they are highly competitive. I am in New York and will be applying in state. Hi! Thank you so much! So exciting and I wish you the best of luck with everything! I think my best advice for the essays would be as authentic and original as possible. For example, everyone is going to write about how they want to be a nurse to help people, and that’s okay, but maybe take a more personal angle and show the reader truly who you are and why you’ll make a great nurse. Just be yourself and let your passion shine through. I have no doubt you’ll end up exactly where you’re supposed to be. Good luck! I hope this helps :)
