Very informative and interesting review, thank you. The truck looks good, I'd buy it tomorrow if I had the kind of money but it is definitely on my wish list.
Considering how the the economy is, we do need alternatives so that there is healthy competition, currently Toyota and Ford are too areogant with their pricing
great looking bakkie for what it is. i absolutely think the buyer is getting more than their monies worth, considering that the popular brands are now starting at R1mil. i think the proportions are great, it seems slightly smaller than the hilux and ranger body panel wise, which i actually find refreshing as i feel the newer bakkies are becoming too big for everyday use and especially for town driving.
Bro forgot 2 mention dat it has a polo enjine in and is Volkswagen has share in JAC . Its basically a cheaper Amarok . But very good im saving 2wards 1
I Don't Like Sunroofs, The Car or 4x4 Gets too Hot Inside, Sunroofs Can Get Smashed in a Hail Storm, Sunroofs Also Leak After a Few Years Later, Great 4x4, Thank you.
@sadikiesadiki7711 Because if you buy a Hilux or DMax, you'll sell it for more money than you paid for it after a few years of ownership. While the Chinese vehicles have very rough depreciation, and you'll loose lots of money. Lets not even talk about reliability and longevity, where the Chinese vehicles are substandard.
@@travelmates1 yes i agree if with you if the point is to sell it, but if the point is to keep it then you don't loose anything, you even have longer warranty like 10 years/ 1 million Km from Chery also remember the likes of Toyota are a high risk of being stolen but Chinese cars are not, they come with peace of mind. as for reliability lets give them chance to prove themselves, its too soon to assume they are not reliable, unless you have evidence of your claim
Sadly, that is irrelevant for our local market. We also can't guarantee the availability nor pricing of the model in the USA or any country other than South Africa.
I'm not so sure about these Chinese manufactured vehicles, the poor quality of the materials used, the poor build quality, the old tech in new wrapping paper. JAC partnered with with VW to build EVs, so no imput on their ICE, JAC partnered with Huawei but still give you a shit infotainment software. And then there's the biggest issue of all, RUST! One sniff of the ocean and these things rust to pieces. I've seen it with my own eyes too many times.
Haha really built quality. Have you seen how they look and feel inside way better than a brand new hilux. There is more plastic in a new ranger than in these new Chinese cars
On another review from another country: ruclips.net/video/77-LQAY__xQ/видео.htmlsi=zycf1aI5v-G1vYgU It was mentioned that the JAC T9 did not use Galvanized Metal... Is there a way for us to confirm this from JAC? Nice review by the way. 👍👍
This was posted on the JAC Australia instagram "The all-new JAC T9's cab and tub are made of galvanised steel, with a Zinc content of 40.9%. It also features leading internal wax injection technology, which effectively enhances the vehicle's rust and corrosion resistance." Best to contact a dealer and ask the question though.
@clintnaik chinese cummins is worse and very expensive. Had that experience with the foton 2.4 cummins engine . Disintegrated from heat . Hopefully Jac knows what they are doing but is never the case

The name is appropriate... It looks pretty Jac-t
aggressively beautiful, great review
Great review. Massive value for money compared to the usual "trio". Those nitpicks are nothing the average mzansian cant learn to live with
It feels like I came for a review and got blessed with an advert instead

Alternatives are good, but the segment leaders are still managing to move metal, so the pricing can't be that off the mark.

but, it is diesel? it has fanclutch or electric fan?

Correction the previous gen JAC had the 1.9VW engine. This new gen does not have a VW engine.
@robinbell2263 not Vw
Go to JAC website. It's a JAC engine they developed with Cummins.

The brain washed and the brand loyalist will not see any good from this car, sad
real
Bro did you fart at 3:25??😅😅😂
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Bro really had to elevate himself with a lil boost(farting)😭🔥🔥
Just hold your volume button in and just like that you can skip
"You would not want anything on the safety side" Really, what about lane keep assist? Autonomous braking?
😂
Nope, don't want either of those
those are for new drivers, im sure you dont really need that
Worth a look, but for R600k you could get a very good 2nd hand bakkie like Toyota or Isuzu. And what about resale value?!
why go for second hand while you can get a brand new car with 100% warranty and peace of mind?
Yeah Chinese vehicles tank hard on the resale value, for even cheaper you can get yourself the worst of the tin cans, the GWM P-series at around R400K

Don't underestimate momentum. Chinese cars are being adopted at a crazy rate / this will boost the secondhand (resale) value over time
That grill is really grinning 😬
😂😆
Kindly mention USD

which chines car do you own that hurt you that bad?
So true that, they just don't stand up to rust at all.
And Toyota😂

@sadikiesadiki7711 Wow, you are truly a fan of these B-grade Chinese knock-offs! You must have very bad taste when it comes to quality and class...
you need to FART out side before you get in the truck
Yes da oke did fart... an awkward and uncontrollable one... the exhalation missed the seat tho!

Hehehhe don’t say that u can change yes the songs 😂😂😂😂

I know JAC is part owned by Vw and previously used Vw engines; anyone know if this engine is of a Vw dna?
I think it's colab with Cummins.
@@salmonstone2358 gosh this is seriously good recipe of parts.
New engine is Cummins
@@samkelokeaganmordaunt2305 gosh. What a recipe. Thanks for the info.
@clintnaik chinese cummins is worse and very expensive. Had that experience with the foton 2.4 cummins engine . Disintegrated from heat . Hopefully Jac knows what they are doing but is never the case
The big expense comes when you want to trade in. Massive loss compared to a hilux or ranger
