    I'm 55 y/o and have seen Slayer several times in the 80"s; I still have the scars. Most violent pit in my days.

      55 years old too. Same story here.
      First time they played in Denmark was in 1985. In an old porn theater, and I was there. Last concert in Denmark was in 2018. And I was there.
      We're never gonna see the likes of them again.

      @@michaelmichael1001 Remember the great warm up bands? One bill was like Slayer, Motorhead, and Danzig. Another was like Megadeth, Overkill, and Suicidal Tendencies. I was sweating so bad I didn't even realize I busted my eyebrow wide open. Still wear that scar with pride. Rock on man.

    One of the Slayer shows I attended when they played this they pretty much lit the entire stage on fire with flamethrowers behind the drummer launching fire in all directions in the air. Between that and the sound of this song it felt like the Gates of Hell actually opened up that day. It was f*cking awesome!

    First of all, GREAT reaction video as always dudes.
    Second, as a TRUE Metal-er (the FIRST two Metal songs I ever heard were Haunting The Chapel by Slayer and Ride The Lightning by Metallica when I was in Junior High in the mid-80's), I'm glad that all of you 'Yutes' who for some reason call yourselves 'Metal-heads' are hearing Heavy Metal from the early to mid-80's to mid-90's back when Heavy Metal was in its HEIGHT.
    Third, I HAVE to point out one thing that you guys got COMPLETELY WRONG: when you said that Metal from this time-period was "sloppy" and "wasn't about precision". That's 100% COMPLETELY WRONG. Like SO many of the Yutes who call themselves 'Metal-heads', you can't understand that EVERY note is actually DELIBERATE. Meaning that the guitarists from these early Metal bands were SO skilled and technically efficient that they played in such a PRECISE way that most of the so-called 'Metal-heads' nowadays WRONGLY ASSUME that the guitarists were "sloppy".
    Just wanted to point that out
    But regardless, my opinion aside, again GREAT reaction video as always dudes.
    Definitely looking forward to your next one.

    can't believe that not a single reaction channel is celebrating the first Pantera show in over 20 years. i mean, most epic moment in the metal scene happened 2 days ago when they hit the stage for the first time since august 2001. nothing is more important in music than this at the moment. a shame that no reaction channel realizes and celebrates this...

    • @butchvito
      @butchvito Год назад +3

      Fans will mark out about anything. They put a "PanterA" logo on the tour posters and some fans really want to believe it's Pantera. It's 2/4 of Pantera with two other well known musicians. Phil and Rex have performed Pantera songs together several times over the years. Once "New Level" with Rex and Phil's solo band at Download, and "I'm Broken" performed by Phil, Rex, Zakk & BLS on tour in TX. I know this tribute tour is way different than performing a few songs here and there. To me it doesn't matter if Phil & Rex play with Zakk and Charlie, or a couple guys in cover bands from the bar down the street. There's no replicating Dimebag and Vinnie either way.

  • @nudegamer6496
    @nudegamer6496 5 месяцев назад

    Ok, several things.
    First, I honestly like your reaction videos dude.
    Secondly - that being said however, with all due respect you're making the EXACT same mistake as all the other Yutes who weren't even born yet when Slayer debuted by first using the term 'hardcore' in reference to the Genre of Heavy Metal in general (implying that there's a subcategory of Heavy Metal known as 'hardcore'); and then secondly by referring to the guitars of early Slayer (in particular the leads) as being "sloppy" or that precision "wasn't important".
    As a TRUE Metal-er who first heard Heavy Metal back in the mid-80's when I was in Junior High (and any TRUE Metal-er would tell you the same thing) I can honestly tell you that the leads from early Slayer songs would be essentially classified as "Controlled Chaos", meaning that Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman were SO skilled that they could play leads with such PRECISION that they actually COULD play that fast and yet remain ON-KEY all the time.
    Just a Metal-er trying to impart some Heavy Metal knowledge to a couple totally cool-seeming 'metalhead' Yutes.
    My ranting as a Metal-er aside however, again great reaction video as always dudes.
    Definitely looking forward to more.
