    She’s not using a pedal. It’s her bending technique. She’s literally that good.

  • @brettsteele7386
    @brettsteele7386 8 месяцев назад +10

    That sound was not from conflicting strings it was from her hitting the whammy bar backward.

    • @user-bo2vz1up1l

      Correct, whammy set into backwards position so that tapping it gently bends stings up.

    Tina's skills at harmonics, timing in the wammy bar are impeccable. This is why at age 15 she was already considered one of the best in the world and was also spokeswoman four Frances largest guitar

    Excellent reaction, Tina's talent is breathtaking.
    She did a lesser known cover of "Altitudes" (Jason Becker) which is also worth a look 😉

    Those conficting frequencys you are hearing are simply her slapping the tremolo and it's vibrating.

  • @oktopuce6760
    @oktopuce6760 Год назад +13

    there is no pedal, bending and tremolo barre only

    thank you again for the awesome reaction. I just wanted to add a little piece of information regarding the part of the "conflicting sound", because I think you did not exactly see what she was doing with her right hand at the moment. maybe take another look at that part and watch what she does with the tremolo bar at that moment. It is all the way open and she flicks it going backward... with that cat like sound being the result.

      yes correct, aka "The Pussycat purr" :-)

    • @YNGWIE998
      @YNGWIE998 Год назад +1

      Yes, I agree, it is hard to put into words what she actually does, but Steve Vai regularly does this effect. Essentially, when the trem bar is behind the bridge, the player 'strokes, or brushes' the bar to create the 'wobble' effect that is heard.

    • @Biomirth
      @Biomirth Год назад

      I think he got it but was trying to describe the actual musical effect of the dissonance produced. He's right that when you bend a note into another note there are points of extreme dissonance if you're playing both at once. The bar brush produces this dissonance in a way but I think his overall point is that there's a kind of satisfying discomfort in the scope of these particular bends. Like, exactly the opposite of when you hear a singer warming up and they bend 'to' the notes. These chordal bends bent into one of the many 'in between' spaces out of harmony, yet still harmonious.
      That will make sense to some but will sound ludicrous to others I know.

  • @raatroc
    @raatroc 11 месяцев назад +4

    Imho she does not use a pedal to change the sound during playing, it's all in her technique... And what you call the conflicting sounds she makes these by tapping on the whammy bar. You can clearly see that she prepares this by putting the whammy bar backwards for this some bars before. And let's not forget that the guitar she plays, Vigier, is one of the most underrated guitars in the world.

    Conflicting sounds you’re hearing is that tramolo. Watch her hit it when she’s swinging her arm back and barely touching it. It has springs in it and that’s what makes the sound affect.

    Tina S has made songs that I did not like into real art. I appreciate her videos and those that do reactions to her videos, I learn so much more listening to reaction videos. Just Jen has a couple great reaction videos to Tina S along with Herman Lee’s

    At 7:55 she was actually bumping/stroking the tremelo to make that sound. It's called something along the lines of a "cats meow."

    I think Herman Li said it was auto wah that was pick sensitive when she covered the Dragon Force song, might not apply here..however she did it it’s still incredible top tier playing. I’d like to see Vai react to it like Herman did when she covered his song.

      @@YBPlaysMusic No, I'm nor kidding, look at the video from a viewer standpoint. I couldn't finish it. It's too rude.

    • @YBPlaysMusic
      @YBPlaysMusic  Год назад +2

      @rickkemp1 ok, this is making me kinda mad... First of all, imo you are making too much of a deal out of this, like I didn't pay attention to the video.
      Also, don't judge so quickly if you don't have any context about it. If I was on the road all day and had to hurry home to start the livestream at 10pm, then a little snack is not a sin.
      And btw, do you also think that it is rude to eat popcorn and other snacks during a movie in theaters? Cause that's basically the same thing.
      I'm at home, watching some fun suggested videos and have a fun time with my subscribers in the chat, a snack is not wrong i think.

      Btw, Steve Vai posted her video on his Twitter and sent her his congratulations to which she responded that she was honored. Jason Becker also replied to her video of his song Altitudes. The guitarist from Dragonforce also reacted to her cover of they’re song and reached out to her for a collaboration, his reaction is on RUclips. So for you to comment that she didn’t play well is so cringe, ignorant and futile. Genius recognizes genius. Nice try tho lol.
