Hey jack, that intro song was breathtaking, something that is rare for me to say when i listen to something new, saw you live at radar in 2023 and you blew me away, keep it up brother ❤
I am using a Rocktron All Access midi controller (15 presets per bank at my feet and dont have to step on the switches on the Nano. Just use the switches on the Nano for rotary selection.) All my amps and preamps with basic effects with or without IRs at my feet for on the fly switching. No more actual amps, cabs or racks. They are all at home and I can just take my pedalboard and midi controller. I love the Nano!
Loved the playing. Love the size. Love the price. Don't mind the minimal 'block' availability. I don't use that many presets - and minimal effects. But .........back when I had a Quad Cortex, the cloud connection was unreliable. I'd have to carry it to another part of my house to download presets. No such issues with any other devices I owned. I hope they addressed that in this unit. It looks like - without a cloud connection, you can't fine tune effects - just the *amount* of FX. If cloud connection is fixed now - great. Cool little unit.
Beautiful playing, loved your low gain lead section...I couldn't place the melody at first and it was killing me, but once I remembered it was so satisfying. Gonna have to go back and listen to some more Hiromi now. Great demo and playing as always!
...ive gone back to analog everything...makes a huge difference since i grew up on analog..something one has to experience i guess...my fractal now is used for quick jams with the local musicians, demo recording, and home or away from home practicing..this technology is amazing, but just not for a complete switch over....made my past gigs easy tho, but im happy to lug all the tube amps and pedals again...fills the band area better, feels like im playing music, ..im a guitarist, not a painter...aome are amazing painters, and thats their present, and future...ditto to all.
As much as I appreciate the effort put into making this video, I'm only here for the opening song and I think video game companies should start hiring Jack to make OST for their games especially Beat em up ones cos that song has a Double Dragon feel to it which I love to bits. Legend !
Love that and would love to hear the full version! Reminds me of Shawn lane, love the sound of the instruments accompanying you. Great taste and style!
Sylosis After Lifeless Years!!! Great video, I'm thinking to get one! I hope Neural would make an update to change the thing of fixed effects and other midi functionalities. Fantastic and inspirational playing as always man. Cheers!
Thank you for this very nice product demonstration, a multi effect but not really, no compressor and overdrive, the capture function is good but you have to have equipment to capture and this is not the case for the majority of guitarists interested in this product. It’s still expensive for a pedal. on the other hand it sounds very good.
I'm 6 days too late for the sale 😥 . I just discovered you a couple of days ago when you popped up on a Plini Radio Spotify playlist. Dude your style is super tasty!!!!
I'm trying to adjust the eq on a capture/preset I made and it's not saving. The way to I tested is to load a preset, change the TREBLE, etc, save, go to a different preset, then go back to the first preset and it sounds exactly the same as it did before changing the TREBLE. Is there some mode, etc I need to be in for these changes to be saved??
I honestly don’t get the hate. There are plenty of other products on the market sold as “amp in a box” for the same price range and no one hates on those. I have one of these on the way primarily to capture the amps that come through my studio for review but as a tiny amp in a box that I can use with my drive pedals, other effects pedals, etc, I think it’s really appealing. The other thing is that it gets you into the QC ecosystem of amps (which at this point is quite mature) so you can easily transition to the full size QC later on if you enjoy the nano. Where are the people hating on stuff like the Friedman IRD/X or the origin effects stuff? They’re in the same price range and much more limited in features but they get a pass because they’re not digital? Nah. I’ve owned all the digital units and spent a lot of time with my singers QC and for the money, I think this strikes a solid balance between a sound quality that the HX stomp simply doesn’t have (IMO). The stomp has more flexibility but no capture and lower quality amp sounds. I have yet to try the tone X but the workflow and capture process looks like a huge pain. I could be wrong but that how it appears. Kemper player not being able to capture (at their price point) was a huge swing and a miss. I predict they drop the price on that thing to compete with this nano.
I don’t get the hate either. The NC is purposely scaled back which is reflected in its price. I don’t care if it hasn’t a screen, plug in your tablet. No overdrive pedal, so what. Capture one. I also don’t care if the blocks are fixed and I don’t want a multitude of effects or flexibility. What it does, it does very well. Capturing. The tone x in comparison is a pain to use. The NC interface is intuitive and fast. Sounds better too. The cortex cloud has 1000s of free captures to explore. Jack will be there. Rabea’s there. The haters just don’t get it. It either doesn’t suit their needs or they don’t understand it’s purpose or what it does.
Jack, I am a bedroom player with a family of 4, a full time job, with little time to play guitar. I am a simpleton, running only a delay and reverb to my tube amp. I have been content with this rig for the most part. I am looking for something to take my sound to the next level though (besides lessons) , and this thing seems to fit the bill. It sounds amazing. I dont have time to spend hours tweaking a monster sound, nor do i want to capture. I want some geek nerd to do it for me, and for the benefit of mankind. Can this be the right pedal for me? I dont mind spending $600 for this if it contains the holy grail of sounds. Give me a pedal with a million effects/amps and i will usually only play with 5 of them. Would i be good in getting this unit? I think the QC is overkill for me and dont want to go cheap for inferior sounds either. Much respect 🙏
If they create an update that allows you to use the capture out / capture in as an effects loop, this will kill the ToneX / ToneX One. Until then, those are better options.
Great video and love your plane absolutely amazing . My question is if this unit can capture plugins So you don't really have to buy The neural DSP plugin like nolly , Rabia , Tim Henson etc.. Because you have the sound on the cloud as well am I missing something? Or I can have the full plugin saved in this unit for some of the plug-in saved in this unit that I purchased from neural DSP Appreciate any comment on that Thank you
If you're not using the capture option but want to use this with something like a line six power cab on its raw setting. Can I download IRS from the cloud and run it through something like that?
Wow, that intro track is one of the coolest songs I've heard from you! That retro video game, whistling synth in the backing track was so sick! Did Owane make that? Sounded a bit like something Dylan Reavey would make, which would make sense since he is on MusicBro.

that intro track was ridiculous, jack. like a modern version of late 80's gambale. what a chad.
Makes my day to read this man! Gambale is one of my absolute heroes! Full song and new music are coming late 2024/early 2025! 💙🙏
I had the same feeling when I heard it! Gambale lives!!! BTW, I want to listen to the full version of it, Jack!
Your playing is game changer, good sir.
Way too kind man! 🤣💙
That's so true... the nano is another hardware that already exists with way to bad marketing... that playing though...
We need the full version of that intro. You are such a melodic and creative player. Such an inspiration.
The demo cured my depression.
Lol.
Love it.

Great video !
Awh man - massive thanks! 💙🙏 Appreciate the kind words!
Yes we need that full track. Absolutely insane 🙏🏼
Killer intro! My Nano arrives tomorrow and I'm building a new gig and recording rig around it (modern country). Great stuff, subscribed!
Cord Progression Main Lead Tone-a Blast from 20:45-22:33🥰thnx 🙋🏽♂️🚀💥🔥
Yes, more Jack Gardiner music is always welcome along with that fantastic guitar tone!
Thanks man! Coming later this year/early 2025! 👀💙
@@JackGardiner Ok maybe now that's the best news I've heard all day...and this Nano Cortex is pretty cool! Thanks, Jack!
It's your playing what makes its sounding good!
Unfortunately playing well doesn't pay the bills so he has to BS for cash
@@michael1 I won’t use bs for a hardworking man! Borderline toxic comment. Would you use those lines in your own field of work?
Totally in ❤ with the Nano Cortex
It does the job without breaking the bank !! Im definitely getting one
Amazing! Best overview of the nano I've seen anywhere and now I am a new fan/subscriber of your playing! Very impressive.
Yes! I would love to hear the full version.
Thanks man! Maybe it’ll be part of a full release coming soon! 👀💙
Awesome intro Jack! Hot playing as always.
Jack - you are a fantastic musician covering the whole emotional palette ... I love it!
Was going to buy the qc but opted for this and your video helped me in the thought process... that and i bought another guitar. Thanks Jack
I love your half smile when looking at the cam 😇 well done, intro has something very fresh
The intro track is insane. NEED a full version!

Well I sure can't play like that but, it sold me on getting one :) Thanks Jack for the presets can't wait to try them.

I have not once been fooled in person, once you sit in the room with an amp it’s very hard to not want to experience that again.
WOW man! I have never heard of this channel before, but that opening song was so incredible horse leather, I must subscribe and follow.
Sounds amazing, but you’d sound good through almost any gear 🤘🔥🔥🔥

That intro has a vibe. 🤘🤘 Need a full version for sure.
That was stinging..my goodness gracious..extremely smooth and captivating..extremely impressive transitions..very very nice..
Such a beautiful demo at the beginning of the video… 🔥🔥🔥
Way to go! you are another guitarist reaching new heights👌
Outstandingly beautiful playing mate! Cheers!
Thanks so much Jens! Hope all is well and hope to see you again very soon man! 💙🙏
That track at the song really brightened my day! What an absolute joy to listen to!
Thanks Adam! 🙏💙
Is it possible to connect an expression pedal to Nano? To control wah/volume pedal in the Nano.
Love that and would love to hear the full version! Reminds me of Shawn lane, love the sound of the instruments accompanying you. Great taste and style!
1:49 It would be mind blowing to hear Jack Gardiner telling horror stories.
20:28 and on speaks to my soul
The song is called Place To Be by Hiromi, a female jazz pianist from Japan
Absolutely want to hear the entire track! Its lit
OMG Hiromi's "Place to be" at 20:28!
Looks and sounds great. Lovely playing 👏👏
Please release the full version of the intro. It was so fun to listen 👍

Intro song sounds like Lee Ritenour All Stars, Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, all the 80s greats...nice

bro whats the signal chain of this Bass tone!? would you be willing to share?
I mean can I use this in place or my guitar amp? Like just go full minimalist and plug this into house to a speaker and call it a day?
Can you do a full version of the intro song and show how to play it PLEASE!!! That thing got me hard as a rock....
Jack I would like to hear a full of that intro, its huge? Do you have a backing track to play along. A real sick track 🎉🎉❤❤❤.
What play does it change?
Master playing btw
Came out of curiosity about the product, stuck around for the OUTRAGEOUS licks 🤘🏻🔥

Well, that was a hell of an intro 🤯
Can you please release another album...? PLEASE?
Yes! I've been thinking about putting together a portable practice rig lately, and this ticks a lot of boxes.
They better cheaper options
Did the sampling rate just drop at 16:07 or what were these digital artifacts? All effects engaged is already too much for this device?
If they create an update that allows you to use the capture out / capture in as an effects loop, this will kill the ToneX / ToneX One. Until then, those are better options.
