@@Marly88 Believe it's a strategic choice. He is gonna save his maximum strength for Sheffield, where the winner is decided on relative increase of the WR in that class. He owns the 74 class, so no reason to set the bar higher than he did.
His squat was definitely rpe 10, but he had lbs left in him for bench and deadlift. Enough to at least push over 845kg to beat jurin, but Jurins also still had more in his tank. The extra weight would definitely allow austin to increase his strength, so I agree he'd win.
@@Morris.Andrew if park weighed closer to like 73.9 he would have probably been a lil stronger, he weighed in pretty light I think like 72.75 or somethin
@@saetjsspeaking on experience that weighing 1.25kg less or more isn't enough to really do anything for your strength. So I'm gonna just have to disagree that he could have been stronger, not saying he wouldn't, but it's highly unlikely since that's only pushing a 3lb weigh in difference which isn't a lot.
@@almost5198 they are very strict about it. Bro could be a top 3 in the 83kg class as a 74kg lifter. Insane. Sheffield is next.
Is it just me or was this like 15 kg lower then his record total?

@StevenStamkos91 He could've won 83s at 72 if he didn't sandbag all 3 lifts to keep the WR low for Sheffield. He had well over 845 in him that day.
World games will be 74’s and 83’s in the same weightclass so we will see the battle of austin against the 83’s
@@jukkapimiahis squat was basically maxed, bench had a bit of room, deadlift had room. Not really a 20 kills jump room.
Casually opening with Russel’s third attempt bench💀
Fr 😂😂😂😂
Fr 😂😂😂 weighing 20 kg lighter too 😭🤯
Austin’s final bench attempt is a typo, it’s 200kg/440.9lbs not 200kg/485lbs. No judgment tho, amazing video, keep it up!!
Insane how his best total in a comp ever is more than the 83kg world champ this yesr
If he took everything to Rpe 9-10, he could have won in the 83s. 9 kilos off from Jurins who totaled 845 today. Crazy
absolutely nuts

bro EASILY could've slapped on 15 more pounds on his squat. IS ANYONE even CLOSE at 74kg to his total? He's absolutely on another level.
He already squatted 700 pounds at nationals
@@Shvabicu I know LOL. I'm saying for this instance internationally he hasn't; the announcers even said it too.

The greatest powerlifter in history.!!! Over 11 times his body weight in total.
Perk doing what perk does best!
Austin Perkins IS THE MAAAN! AMAZING NUMBERS
Wowwww you guys make such good media!!! So impressive.
Unbelievable how fast you get these up 😅
Couldn't have put it better myself gamer
Beautiful everything, the performance & interview & approach, Austin Perkins is the King for now
it's crazy how he posts a total that would still be insane in the 83kg class, I wonder if he will bulk up and compete in a higher weight class!
Maybe one day, but I feel he hasn't reached his peak yet at this weight.
It is Austin Perkins who is the PFP lifter in the world and the history...amazing...
C’est terrifiant de voir un mec aussi fort
Opening the meet with a WR is vicious
we witnessed for sure the performance of 2024
Where's the 66's video can't wait 👀🔥
Perfect song choice.
Wish you had done normal speed for the lifts themselves. Other than that I really like the videos you put out
No change in speed for any lifting footage 😄
Austin is just an explosive monster lol
Sound name?
Can anyone explain why does he wear his weight belt so high up?
can you make a ¨kjell vs austin video?
want to see his anti doping control!
I cant believe this is real
what deadlift shoes are those

@@kainguyen3786 thanks!
i love the coach yelling "championship technique", wtf that even mean
We knew if Austin got even 1 red that a lift could potentially be taken from him. So we made sure that wouldn’t happen

EGOmaniac! I swear lol.
Well I’m impressed. Let’s see where he progresses from here.

C'mon, you should drug test him better.
Great athlete but his on steroids that's for sure
Respectfully if he was, the work he has put in shows his results. Not everyone using roids becomes this strong, especially at this body weight.
Mans has the longest powerlifting resume. Russ looks like he's on steroids, but barely stronger while being 9kg heavier.
Go AUSTIN!
aren't these competitions strict about steroid use? :0 i thought it was all natural since its a world championship or am i being too naive lul
