Yep, that's the Red Wedding. Do you remember a story Cersei told Margery in the last episode? About The Rains of Castamere - a house that rebelled against the Lannisters. This is why this episode is called The Rains of Castamere - they made the events of that massacre into a song and now it's the Lannister hymn. You heard it before and will hear it many more times in the show. The Freys played this song when they shut the doors, and that's why Kat got sus, because it's a Lannister song. So, basically, Filch is not a mastermind behind all this...Also, if we look back, we can see that the Red Wedding was prepared a while ago. Remember how Tywin was so eager to marry Sansa to a Lannister, and said "If something was to happen to Rob, Sansa is the key to the north". He was planning this sh*t this whole time.
All those letters Tywin was writing while Arya was his cupbearer was Tywin setting this up. So Sansa unwittingly helps Cersei plot Ned's demise, and Arya unwittingly helps Tywin plot Cat's demise.
Whenever I watch someone react to this, at that part I have to turn the volume down because the way it sounds when that wolf dies is just heartbreaking😢
For me, it’s not just Robb, Cat, or even the wolf. It was watching the the slaughter of the entire northern army, and given that Stannis was defeated last season, knowing that Joffrey and the Lannisters would not be punished for a really long time.
The show didn't emphasize this as much but Frey didn't just do that because he was slighted. He also did it because Robb's position wasn't as strong as season 1 and 2. He lost part of his army when he executed Karstark, the Lannisters and Tyrells (the 2 richest kingdoms with the largest armies) joined forces, and Robb has less potential allies (Renly dead and Stannis defeated at the Blackwater). Robb was a sinking ship and Frey wasn't willing to go down with him. Tywin threw him a life vest. The same goes for Roose Bolton.
Also Jayne westerling wasnt even present at the wedding because they didnt want to upset Walder also the westerling family was secretly in lannisters pockets.
It started to go wrong with Robb sending Theon, Robb not marrying a Frey, Cat freeing Jaime, Edmure going against Robbs wishes and then killing Karstark and losing the army. Unfortunately, Robb had so many people going against him with himself included.
Catelyn got sus because they started playing the Reins of Castamere, which is the famous Lannister song... So in her mind she's thinking, why are you playing the Lannister song when we're enemies.
@@stviz87 Jaime knew that Bolton was helping the Lannisters by letting him go back to Kingslanding, but he didn’t know they were conspiring to slaughter the Starks at the wedding.
Why did it happen? If you go down to the bare minimum, Rob was an Oathbreaker. Had he kept his oath and married a Frey girl, none of it would have gone down that way. The Rains of Castamere is a song about the broken oaths of House Reyne to House Lannister where they stopped paying their dues. Tywin Lannister than proceeded to wipe them out. This was the song they started playing after the door was closed and the name of the episode. And who are you, the proud lord said That I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat That's all the truth I know In a coat of gold or a coat of red A lion still has claws And mine are long and sharp, my lord As long and sharp as yours And so he spoke, and so he spoke That lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall With no one there to hear Yes, now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear And so he spoke, and so he spoke That lord of Castamere But now the rains weep o'er his hall With no one there to hear Yes, now the rains weep o'er his hall And not a soul to hear
Idk, Walder Frey is very untrustworthy. It’s possible that he would have done it anyway because Tywin was allowing him to take Riverrun as a reward. Now, Robb not marrying his daughter was definitely his que for it.
@@Blaskor314 He could have still killed Robb and his army if he had Tywin’s backing. He wouldn’t kill his daughter because she wasn’t part of the group Tywin wanted to have killed.

“Atleast robb got out of that Scott-free” you FOOL 😭😭
Remember all these scenes with Tywin writing letters while talking to Tyrion and Cersei? He was writing to Frey and Bolton and plotting the whole thing with them. As someone mentioned, this is also why he was so eager to marry Sansa to Tyrion. He knew Robb and his army were about to get annihilated.
37:38 “You’re a bunch of sadists”
ur guys intensity is insane. gj guys
I feel you guys, the first time i watched this i was raging mad!! especially at the end when that traitor Lord Bolton grabs Rob and says "The Lannisters send their regards" and then stabs him in the heart with a dagger!! I was absolutely gutted after this!!
Ned's death is the soft welcome and the Red wedding is truly the official welcome to G.O.T., Welcome Fellas or shall I say men of winter now! No other show will have your emotions on a constant emotional rollercoaster than this one.
both of y’all are a representation of how i watch tv and movies 😭
throughout the whole of this season letters are being written and sent that bring about the red wedding. its fascinating to watch it back when you know.
I was so hyped when this episode aired as a book reader, best tv moment and the reactions to this day have been amazing.
25:06 Oh boy, you guys are already starting to tear up right here (happy tears). Oh gawd...
I was really worried about you guys when I realized what episode was coming up next :(
Robb made a lot of mistakes that led him to that moment.
23:28 top 10 moments before disaster
Sweet summer children no more! You have survived the Red Wedding, the most infamous episode of the show.... Suddenly Ned's death seems a bit less traumatic. Anyway, buckle up! it's a wild (and of course wildling) ride from here on.
ye this was a tough one, stick it out tho! the series is a rollercoaster but worth it to keep watching. Also its Jamie that tells Lord Bolton to tell Rob that "the Lannisters send their regards" he says it to him as he leaves Harrenhal in episode 7.
One of the most if not the most genuine GOT reactions I’ve ever seen. You guys are great, keep it going!
Y’all are officially in the fandom now!!
Awww guys. Sending big hugs 💜
This is the best reaction channel I’ve ever seen
Oh my precious dudes... this has been a long time coming. As an alleged crybaby myself, I knew what was coming for Aaron because I sob EVERY time. Love you both and congrats on making it this far ❤
We love you !! Thanks so much :]
I was crying snd laughing at the same time with the beautiful emotional man on the right. I need some anti depressants after that
Intentionally clicked on a RUclips channel I’ve never seen simply to watch the emotional destruction 😂😅
My poor boys. This is a hard one to get through. Side note- I’ve watched a lot of reactors with this show and you are the only ones I support on Patreon. We all should sign up!
Thanks Kerry we appreciate you :)
When this aired, I was so stunned that I sat through the entire end credits just staring at the screen, mouth open and unable to speak. Literally. Stunned.
I can't believe you guys are barely watching! But it's great, really! I hope you can continue to avoid spoilers and I look forward to checking out other reactions as well as future ones. New sub! 😉👍
everyone was lowkey excitedf for this in a sick way lmaooo
SICK is right!!! Lmaooo!!
Channel 9 News:
"This morning, local police found a young red-headed man, lying in a gutter on Main Street, covered in his own urine & other unidentified feces, rocking side to side, crying hysterically, & muttering 'they're dead.....they're all dead......why? Even the wolf is dead....I can't do this....I can't....why....no' - followed by incomprehensible muttering. He was taken to an area hospital for observation. No word yet on his condition."
😂OMG As I am watching your incredible reaction of pure sincerity I couldn't help but feel my own emotions resurfacing.
This Episode has to be one of the worst.
We all had to take days some even months to recoup.
Again, Season 4 and 6 are favorites for more reasons than you know.
Your humor and love for the other characters in this show will see you though...at least that's what got me though it all. Yes Mike's insight was spot on about the Lannesters as he mentioned.
Keep Safe my friends and much 💕
Somebody should really do a compilation of just people tearfully exclaiming "I'M NEVER WATCHING THIS SHOW AGAIN" after this episode lmao I bet it would go on for an hour.
Aaron I feel you man…..I feel you…
Literally the best reaction of all time
before this episode begins.... Mike. Aaron. Hugs guys
Rip Ned... again.
So much emotion in these guys reaction.
Great job boys
"Give me more sadness."
"At least Rob got out of that scot free."
me: 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
"argus filch just killed all the Starks" lol
Bless you two, after I watched the red wedding I swore off GOT for 5 months I was so wounded, but then I got curious about Tyrion, Arya and Jon, and when season 4 rolled around the following year I decided to watch and I was SO GLAD I DID! You gentlemen did well. 💜 Welcome to GOT. Remember no one is safe...but winter is coming.... 😏
That was the Red Wedding 😢
Yes, you just witnessed the Red Wedding.
Hey guys, keep watching! The show moves on without Robb, who fucked up, and the story continues to flesh out until the REAL players are revealed! It's like a highway that turns into an expressway and then a Main St. Shit will get focused but you have to endure some things, guys👍. Worth it! Plus, this episode is one of the main reasons REACTION videos exist today!
So sorry guys. I knew this one would be hard on you. We all feel your pain.😢Never watch GOT without Kleenex handy.
Yes rewatch, is worst.. hahaha first time I've watched I didn't cry but now I cry everytime
Yes is this the red wedding
I’ve binged your reactions in 2 days…..sad I now have to wait….you are no longer sweet summer children. Love watching you both
lol...I knew this would be awesome...
Yesssssssssssssssss...feed us Aaron's tears so that we may live forever to taste more of the tears of the uninitiated...I love being a GOT reactor audience vampire...yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
The wolf yelping...I always cover my dogs ears when it happens.
I firmly admit to being an emotional sadist, cos I bawled and got angry and incoherent, when I first watched this, But Im still watching reactors, go thru it, and enjoying your reactions:) It is a rite of passage for GOT fans, and as others have said, you are no more summer children, that was your initiation :) and you passed beautifully.
I’m very new to your channel so I’m catching up on these past episodes. I cried after this episode and swore I would never watch it again. I’m so happy I broke that promise I made to myself. I love y’alls channel. Keep up the great work!
WHAT I WOULD DO TO EXPERiENCE THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN
Watching this soooo late, but for me the worst part of Cat's death was that not only had she lost her husband, watched her son, DIL and unborn grandchild die, she then died thinking all of her other children were dead or captive....
They did the Rob's wolf dirty. In the books he got released by the kennel master, he tore through countless men and took a whole quiver of arrows to put him down.
Yeah the show differs more an more from the books after each season.
With face comes the gift to take on their voice and the way they look. It's magical.
This probably is the episode that started all the reaction channels.
Let’s go!! I was hoping we got 2 in a week!!
This episode, and specilly this last sequence is a fu...ing master piece of how make perfection... everything just comes together to make one of the best (if not the best) sequences in Tv and Cinema History!!!!!
Rob knew it was done as his mother pleaded for his life. He just said "Mother" right before they plunged a knife in his heart. Brutal.
