Your suggestion worked perfectly. The “grind” setting revealed the pump weakness. Replaced the pump for $35, instead of DeLonghi wanting $250 plus shipping and waiting. Thanks again

Great video. Does one need to take the side/top panels off in order to replace the small O-rings in the Generator?
I just picked up the same machine used and the espresso temp for a single shot is around 165 coming out of the machine (prior to hitting the cup. This seems low. The water temp coming out of the steam wand is 179. Is this low for the machine?
Does it take a long time to heat up after switching on?

I think that with this model a higher temperature is not possible. Preheating the cups is the only way.

Świetne video. Czy masz pomysł, gdzie szukać usterki, gdy ekspres (ESAM 3200) szumi/syczy przy włączeniu? Czy to początek końca bloku grzewczego? Przy okazji czyszczenia prawie całego ekspresu wymieniłem uszczelki w tłoku i module od spieniania mleka, ale to nie tam jest problem.
Skoro szumi to obstawiam, że para ucieka?
Na pewno jest tak, jak to opisałeś. Wystarczy wymienić uszczelki w górnym tłoku zaparzacza i wszystko powinno znów działać poprawnie.
Hey, thanks for that great Video! Mine has water leaking out of the water tank and dripping past the drip tray, but only if its in the machine. Already replaced the sealing ring of the tank, because I thought that was the problem, but its not. Any idea what might be the problem? Will a new tank help?
As a rule, everything should be tight again after the seal has been changed. It is important that the water tank is pushed in correctly as far as it will go.

How is the grinder set correctly again?

Electronics are difficult to repair. Maybe the humidity is the problem. Try to disassemble, dry, and reassemble the control panel.
Is there sort of screw thread for the grinder knob for this ESAM 3000, I find mines was very hard to remove, unlike my ECAM 22.110, all I have to do just pull the knob out very ease.
Hello, you can carefully take off the white ring, it is clipped in in three places. To do this, you have to remove the grinder. Pay attention to the left/right thread on the large screw! LG
@@yt.myworks It was my fault, what I should've describe it as adjusting knob, that plastic with grind setting number on it, and I found out that there was a screw in it, and the cap in the middle of this knob has to be remove first, but really thanks you a lot, I have watched your videos a lot and very helpful, BIG thank U:)
Hi, i have a used delonghi magnifica that I cleaned etc., but when it turns on the display is "heating up" for 5 minutes, then it is "GENERAL ALARM" and nothing else happens. The machine seems okay with electric power on, and most things seem functional with initial motor check ( transmission moves and works okay, brew group is correct position etc) and it senses okay things like "door open" and "fill water tank." Could it be a boiler or thermofuse problem? Do you have a video that shows these kinds of issues/repair, please?

Hello, with ESAM model often the heater breaks. Of course, you also need to check the thermal fuse as well as the temperature sensor.

Trying to find o ring kit that contains sizes required in the United States? Buying them individually as Oem parts adds up quickly and I can replace entire thermoblock for 80$ I would like to just rebuild the generator vs replacing it. Thanks. Do any “kits” contain all the sizes?
@travelingmike In Europe there are matching sets with all O-rings to buy on ebay or amazon. If you can't find any seals in the US, I recommend buying a new generator.

I use warm water, washing soda and a brush. You can also use puly caff powder.

There is no general answer to that, but I would first disassemble the milk froth, clean it thoroughly and check all the O-rings.
when I make coffee with my Delonghi Magnifica, a lot of coffee goes in the tray and not my cup; weak pump? Any ideas?
set the degree of grinding a little coarser and if it gets better then the water pump is too weak.

Thanks for the video. I have a problem with the grinder. I choose a little amount off coffee, i put 10 grammes of beans but the grinder take all beans and continues to turn with no beans (25 seconds!!).

I don't know this problem. Try doing a reset, maybe that will help. It could be that the power board is broken.
Hi this is great! I need to clean my machine out (same as this one) but the the centre piece with the red side parts that you squeeze in to remove won't come out. It's stuck so I can't get past the first step!

Try moving the brew group up and down while pushing and pulling the two red buttons at the same time. If that doesn't work, then there is a small lever below the brew group that needs to be unlocked.
Turn the machine off by the button, not pull the plug ot
Hi OP. I hope you see this. I got the same machine recently. The previous owner said it was working fine until it won't turn on. Where do you think I should look first for troubleshooting? The mainboard?
I think so, if the machine doesn't turn on at all then the fault is probably on the mainboard.
@@yt.myworks Looks like it's the mainboard. I used a working mainboard from another machine to troubleshoot. I'm pretty sure the mainboard can be repaired. Just have to replace a few components. Thanks for your reply and help!

Скопление небольшого количества воды в большой плоской чаше является нормальным явлением. Напротив, в контейнере для жмыха не должно быть воды.

Which kind of cleaning or descaling stuff did you use in this video?
I used washing soda from the drugstore. But you can also take Cafiza, I've had good experience with it amzn.to/48gDbz8. Here are the descaling tablets I used amzn.to/48EB5sH
you cleaned the coffee machine beautifully and thanks for the great video. I did a similar service for my express, but after turning it on I have alarm number 7: LEDs flash in sequence: water -> tray -> exclamation mark -> descaling and so on]
the brewer is installed, the door is closed, the door sensor is checked, the coffee machine is cleaned inside. What else could be causing this error?

Great videos... I'm have trouble identifying the hardness of the O rings. I bought 70° hardness but they are definatly too hard.

Hello, the seal rings with hardness 70 are okay. You can install them without any worries.

Turn on the machine without a brewing group, after which the transmission will move to the correct position. Now the brewing group should snap into place
Hi man, I have Delonghi ESAM 3300, when I push the button to make a coffee it is just driping in the cup and does not leak like before. I have replaced o rings on the infuser, brew unit and cleaned everything but nothing changed it still just drips. Do you know what I should do next in order to fix it? It seems like it is clogged somewhere. Also there is no biscuit created after making coffee, but everything is crushed.

Hello, does the water pump become quieter? If so, the machine may be clogged and calcified. In this case, you must try to descale the machine by adding a good descaler to the water and pressing the rinse button repeatedly. Maybe the water pipes will become permeable again.

Is it an ESAM or ECAM model? With an ESAM you can remove the rear cover and try to bring the transmission to the basic position manually. You have to turn the white gear in the right direction.

Yes, the door has a slightly different shape, but the function is the same.

@@hatkeinen3937 Du kannst ein Stückchen Klebeband dran machen damit die Feder an der Stelle bleibt.
Also das Finish beeindruckt mich jetzt aber - das gelingt uns mit Ultraschallbad nicht einmal? Wurden die Teile einfach in Waschsodawasser eingelegt? Sonst nichts?

Today low voltage to my home and machine went slow but all ok,,,, Later the voltage went back to normal and no power showing. Taken back cover off and power is going to the power board...Any ideas why not switching on and no lights, is there a reset button etc ESAM 03 Model
Unfortunately I don't know much about electronics :-( There is a reset function on this model but I don't think it helps. You have to search for it on the internet.
Question for the experts...I have the Magnifica. It will pull single shot but not double. Pump sounds normal at start and quickly gets quiet with nothing coming out. I replaced pump with oem after 3 complete descaling procedures made no difference. Hot water and steam works good. Water comes out of espresso nozzles at startup and shutdown. I fully cleaned and lubricated the plunger assembly (even that plug and tiny hole below screen). No signs in tubing of scale buildup. I am at a loss. Any suggestions? Thanks!
@David K: What level is the grinder set to? See my other video (ruclips.net/video/Dk8_id4x7E4/видео.html). The grinder must not be set too finely.

Sounds like you have a blockage.
Maybe in the brew unit screw (pretty accessible).

I have a magnifica. I turned it on and opened the machine to empty the waste bin. This has faulted the machine. The front lights flash in turn and the resets don’t work. Any advice please ?

@@yt.myworks is there a manual reset process, like winding the dispenser to one of the limit switches, it’s very clean inside.

Take out the brew group and close the service door. Press 1 and 2 cup buttons simultaneously and wait until all 4 lights are off. Put the brew group back in place.

To są dedykowane o-ringi czy uniwersalne? Mogą się w jakimś stopniu różnić? Np. Grubość 2 zamiast 1.78?
Polecam uszczelki w jakości EPDM lub VMQ. Rozmiar 1,78 mm to w DeLonghi standard który należy zachować. Średnica natomiast może minimalnie się różnić. Podane tutaj rozmiary są mocno zbliżone do oryginalnych.
Ktoś bardzo nie dbał, u mnie wygląda to o wiele lepiej, wiadomo części bez dostępny nie są idealne, ale kto nie smaruje ten nie pije kawy 😁
A co dokladnie smarowac oprocz zaparzacza ?
Zalecam przesmarować śrubę przekładni. Do tego nadają się smary które dedykowane są do urządzeń kuchennych.

Do you offer maintenance service? My machine needs service. It has began to leak water underneath the machine. It still makes coffee but I don’t want to buy a new one. Please advise.
Mine was leaking water underneath - turns out the boiler was leaking inside and left many calcium deposits inside the machine [hard water] which eventually created corrosion and a failure ... I think the boilers have a flaw in these machines.

Not sure if my reply is too late for you, but I have the ESAM2800 Caffe Corso machine (slight cosmetic difference, but the same inside). had the same issue - leaking water inside when making a coffee. My issue seems to have been with item 64 generator in the exploded view (see link above). Tube L-190 (item 40) was completely clogged up with coffee remnants. I disconnected that and cleaned it out, re-assembled and it is now working correctly with no leaks.

Hello. Is there a way to get rid of the plasticy clang sound when the brew unit moves along the shaft? I thought that my machine is old and makes this noise but I can hear it on your video too (10:47, 11:06). I added grease to the shaft but it did not help. Without the brew unit in place, there is no clang.
Hi, this clacking noise is normal and can always be heard. The noise comes from the brewing group, from the white plastic part that is mounted on a steel spring.

A dab of food safe grease on the white spring loaded latch pieces substantially quiets that sound.

This is a food-grade silicone lubricant, you can get for little money on Amazon or eBay.

Hi - I replaced my pump on the Delonghi Magnifica because it was not delivering water anywhere - the steamer now works but the coffee part is not delivering any liquid - any suggestions ? - I’m an amateur but I’m willing to try ! @@yt.myworks when I try to brew coffee no water/coffee is delivered - the machine makes a grind noise like it is should but then the fill water light comes on and nothing happens - but there is water in the tank … I know the pump is working because the steamer water works when I turn the dial - Thank you
I think it's clogged somewhere. If the machine notices that no water is coming through then the error message lights up.
