Hi, friends! This is NOT the Crab Stitch but something completely different. Someone left a comment sharing this technique on my hack video about flat tapestry crochet and I'm grateful. This is such a great option when you want the front of your stitches to stay on the same side. Let me know if this is something you'll try! xx
I don't know if I will try it. You do it very well. It is messing with my brain. I think I would just have a bunch of loops and knots. Love that you share your abilities. ♥️☮️🌎🌲
Hello Roz hope your day is going well . As i was watching this tutorial it reminded me of working the stocking stitch in knitting . Which i love so i know i can work your technique in crochet . ❤❤❤❤ Great job. Love seeing my boys just being cool . Have a fantastic day and meows for the boys .
I like the concept of this. I might give it a try just to see how well I can adapt to the feel of the change up and the look of my piece when completed. Great video! ~Joan~ ☺
I wouldn't call this reverse single crochet, because that's already another name for crab stitch. It works great though! I started doing a version of this a few weeks back when I was experimenting with short rows in amigurumi and it drove me CRAZY that it looked different than my neat little stitches in the round. I tried a few different fixes and this was honestly my favorite!
Fantastic! 😀🤗 It’s definitely tough knowing how to describe this. Reverse, backwards, mirroring . I’ve tried to cover it all to help anyone searching for this technique. 💕
Similar concept, yes! And if you place your sc between the v’s instead of the top of the stitch (common in fair isle crochet) it will even look like knitting 💕

That's just like the knit and purl stitches in knitting.
