U ppl have inspiring me alot.... I am working in IT Company.... I have been thinking since i joined Engineering.... Y our education system is not practical.... I thought of changing our system before i complete Engineering.... But now its been 3 years... from many external pressures... I couldn't do..it.....becoz of u ppl... Explain the sine part (degree) for couple. For torque the surface on which we applied the force was a plane and therefore easy to find the angle. When you apply force on a curved surface (circular objects like bottle moodi) how would you find the angle? Or is the angle always 90 degree because the force is applied from exact opposite sides?

In this video, they are saying that force (simply) in the formula
But for torque it's not force, it is called as tangential force.
Force can be classified in to two(by general)
Normal force and tangential force
If we give normal force the concept won't work
So tangential force is needed to produce torque
Normal force and Tangential force are fundamental components of force and these two classified by it's incidence angle... For general classical mechanics they will define these things by introducing angles... In this video they have gone for basics with general terms not much of too technically.
